Aesthetic Relic 301
Chelsea Propose Carvalho – Samuel Exchange Premiership giants Chelsea have approached Inter over the possibility of swapping Ricardo Carvalho for Walter Samuel. The 29-year-old Carvalho is undoubtedly one of the best defenders in Europe, and was a target for Inter before he moved to Chelsea in 2004. However the Portuguese international is said to be unhappy following the recent departure of his mentor Jose Mourinho. With Carvalho's contract at Stamford Bridge running out in 2009, Chelsea are looking for solutions and one of those is to bring Inter stopper Walter Samuel to the club in a part-exchange. Samuel, nicknamed 'The Wall', has returned to his very best form this season, after a few indifferent campaigns. With the Argentine stopper's contract also running out in 2009, the deal may suit both Inter and Chelsea perfectly.

Aesthetic Relic 301
Not sure how long it was but he did sign a new deal. There we go, He signed a new deal before the FA Cup final at the end of last season Chelsea´s Carvalho signs new contract Portugal international Ricardo Carvalho celebrated his 29th birthday on Friday by signing a new five-year contract with Chelsea. The new contract comes as welcome news after he was ruled out of Saturday's FA Cup final against Manchester United at Wembley with a knee injury. Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon said: "We are delighted that Riccy has committed himself to us for the next five years. He has been a key player for us since he joined and has been in fantastic form this season. "Without doubt he is one of the best central defenders in the world. The only shame is that he will miss tomorrow's game through injury and we are all sorry for that."
Mungii 3
Walter samuel is a good defender but not good as Riccy so this is crap story...We would be really stupid to do such kind of transfer...Riccy has signed 5 yers contract and he can play on top of his form in this 5 new years.
