Like i said, i think he should be rested - not because of his form or anything like that, but more of the fact he hasn't had one at all! He played all season long last year, and so far this season. Ash deserves to be rested, our it could effect his fitness and cause an injury, which we really don't want to have.

Ashley Cole had a good game against Man Utd. But he is coming to that stage where he should not be started every game and someone blooded to replace him. Bertrand is that player, but we cannot wait for Cole to retire and then chuck him in. In my opinion he needs 10 to 15 starts this season to grow into playing with the team and to get the experience of playing premiership football. Next season he can play more possibly split more 50/50 with Cole and then the following can replace Cole entirely. But he HAS to start games. A start against Fulham tommorow would be start, and i would follow that up with a start against Swansea, those are the games where it is ideal to play him.

There has to be a development path with these young players, same with Josh, AVB will do him no favours by stopping him go on loan and not giving him any playing time.

Cole stills good.

His attacking threat was good aganist MAN Utd for a few good crosses. Its sad that our players are just not clinical enuff (Ramires)

Anyway his defending is good as well. How about the goal line clearance that he made?

Anyway, its Nani on the right! With his tricks, its inevitable that he will send in crosses from our left, its the central defenders' job to ensure they are cleared before the rooney/hernandez attacks it

you said he deserves to be rested but the question is whether he wants to rest at all? maybe he knows that if ryan show what he knows on real time avb will doubt ashly and than he will lose is place...

I bet AVB will play Ferreria left back ahead of Bertrand v Fulham..

lol

But you know, when Cole did that tackle to Hernandez, i thought he was going to get a red card, and started thinking if for the next game AVB would use Ryan, or pull a Carlo and play Ferreira...
