Ollie 4,400 Posted August 14, 2011 Share Posted August 14, 2011 My appraisal of the team: Cech (7) Bosingwa (7) - Alex (8) - Terry (7) - Cole (6) Mikel (7) Ramires (8) - Lampard (6) Kalou (4) - Torres (8) - Malouda (5) My concerns are the wide roles, where Kalou and Malouda were poor. Lampard and Cole were somewhat lacklustre, and Cole was poor defensively at times, through mental lapses.That's pretty much spot on. Positives:1) AVB should now know that Kalou is shit2) He would've seen our need for a creative playmaker and a winger3) We didn't lose4) We played very well and the pace and intensity was good in the 2nd half5) Nando is back to his old self6) Last year they battered us, at least we're not laying down or giving in. This year, we were the dominant force7) Clean Sheet, great performances from the defence and Cech.8) still 2 weeks to go to buy someone9) Stoke (A) is out the way10) We're off the mark. A penalty call on any one of three plays would have lifted Chelsea. Would have liked to see a better start, but its something to build on.Damn, West Brom just missed one.
