Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

It is manager's duty to get a grip over his squad. Things are little bit unfair for AvB because he inherited a bunch of larger-than-club players . But at the end of the he would be responsible for losing it.

If a manager or teacher cant control his pupils -every place I have worked they are quietly ushered out the door.

The club needs to employ someone who commands respect -the last was Mourinho, but this nerd isnt up to it

It's not all of the pupils, it's a few who continue to do it when things don't go their way.

How come some respect him and others don't... it's a common theme when we hire a new manager... it's because they think they're bigger than the club.

Managing Chelsea is not the same like managing another 'big' club.Everyone in the club has their own views and feel they know what is right for the club. The manager has very little power and control irrespective of past achievements and age.The English media does not like us either and as a result speculate a lot of things which leads to more unrest. So far AVB has done a decent job, considering all the faults in the club and if he can manage to survive this season then I am sure he will be a wonderful manager for any team.

Two examples of what happens when the players listen to the coach, and his tatics, and theirs no disruption.

At the end of the day we can slate AVB, but the same thing happened last season we were playing like shite, god knows how we managed to finish second.

I am not taking the player's side but with Chelsea AvB showed nothing so that he can be called a great coach or even a good coach. In the begining he said that he would assess the squad and within 3 months he came into conclusion that Anelka and Alex are so worthless? Everybody knew us getting the 2nd position under Carlo was purely fluke. Did not he realize that our midfield was pure shit? Still I want to take Andres side just because I want to see an end to this player power regime. But to be very honest Andre is not a good coach. .....Yet. He is not even close.

And this is when I am starting to agree with Sloth, that AVB was a delusional fool thinking he could walk into this club with out little change to the team and expect to do better then Carlo season with almost the same squad.....

Players would have more of a respect for Carlo then AVB as he is mainly a rookie.

Well hate to say it, but it seems like Graeme Souness and Alen Hansen where right about AVB appointment all along.

I will never criticized them ever again.

We need a manager who isnt afraid of upsetting players.Benching them if theyr'e shit regardless of who they can be..but no doubt for that we need an owner who will also understand the reason for the manager benching such players.I mean Lampard got benched...got a bit funny about it then starting playing every single game despite the fact he needed a rest.Torres.Been shite yet seems to start every game..either down to a hope he'll become better or feeling the need he needs to be started due to the 50m cost

And we also need players to get over their issues and play like they mean it!No point going into games with the 'its only so and so attitude' every game a cup final and play how we used to!

I always thought Moyes is a good manager, I bet he would be cheaper and would do better than AVB, but Im sure If we fire him, the board would try another expensive manager, perhaps Capello.

Moyes would flop at big job IMHO.

He has worked wonders at Everton but Sam Allardyce did similar with Bolton (three top 6 finishes with a squad that cost just over £10m) but still made a pigs ear of it when he got a big job.

Although Moyes is a very good shout but i am cynical about appointing a manger from a lower ranked club. Just look at Roy Hodgeson. He did wonders at Fulham and then he failed miserably in Liverpool. Big clubs have big egos.

Is he doing good stuff with Brighton or Swansea ? No the hes without a club, so stultifying ill informed logic

Have they been managing in prem more then Andre? At least know what you are talking about if you don't want to look clueless.
