Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

I'm pretty sure Cahill got man of the match against Everton away for Bolton and scored the winner in that game. Would've given him great confidence to play at the weekend psychologically. There was no sense at all in dropping him for this game.

Why do people insist on hating Malouda? Wasn't he(winger) the top scorer for Chelsea 2010-2011, ahead of Drogba and Anelka(forwards). Maybe he shouldn't start ahead of Mata, but to slate him so harshly is beyond me.

DID YOU REALLY JUST ASK THAT QUESTION!?, HAVE YOU SEEN HIM PLAY THIS SEASON AND LAST!?. He may of got golden boot but he was still one of our worst players that season, he gifted Man U 2 goals in that 3-3 match, and he was the reason Arsenal went 4-3 up after that amazing backpass to Van Persie.

I think its time we ask ourself's the key question.

What is more likely to get us back to challenging for the title?

Sacking AVB, therefore giving these well fed "superstars" "another chance"

or

Sacking the well fed "superstars" and letting AVB get his own players.

Which is more likely to see us successful again? whether AVB is the right man for the job is still up in the air but we cannot make a fair judgement until (at the very earliest) this time next year.

You are very smart. You are trying to say that keeping AVB is the only way to "sack" the superstars. We dont have to choose between the old players and the young manager. I have another option:

- Sack AVB and buy some good players (we dont need to get rid of players like Drogba to change the team, just look at Manchester or Barcelona, some players like Puyol and Giggs are there for many years but the team is changing all the time).

http://www.telegraph...Abramovich.html

"Abramovich has been fully supportive of Villas-Boas in the realisation that changes need to be made at Chelsea and that the club is in a year of transition. If a change is made it will be made reluctantly and only after every avenue is pursued to try and support Villas-Boas.

Abramovich would countenance 'only’ a top four finish this year as long as Chelsea show signs of progressing under Villas-Boas – and an attacking, exciting style of play is important – and do well in the two cup competitions they remain in.

However if it is decided that the 34-year-old Portuguese is struggling then Abramovich has a history of showing that he will not hesitate to sack a manager, despite the cost."

AVB is doomed: with this football is difficult to see us ending in a 4th position, and if that happens we are showing any kind of progress under him.

Maybe because of this paper-thin squad, he's actually suffering because Terry, Ramires and Drogba have been absent from the last few games.

If they all return, and the form in the PL table still doesn't improve, then it really will be curtains for AVB.

Found this in another forum:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is the summary of what AVB has done:

Outcasted Anelka and Alex.

- Really? Wonder if he regrets that now considering Alex was our BEST CB and we needed that extra striker of Anelka's quality in Jan. Everyone knew it. Look what happened. Torres is shit and we had no one else. AVB just didn't see the risk, wanted to stamp his authority over the players. Now he looks foolish. Didn't look ahead.

Loaned Benayoun.

- Again. Didn't think too far ahead. We needed him before and especially now with all the injuries we've had. All our midfielders have been shit/injured and Benayoun brought something different; a creative flair we didn't and STILL DON'T have. If he stayed he could be very well starting for christ's sake.

Hasn't played Mceachran, Bertrand, Lukaku, etc.

- We as fans don't see the training sessions. Perhaps these players are that poor in training. Everyone was calling for Lukaku, he goes in the MU game and looks like dogshit. Being young doesn't mean you're better than older players. Young players are necessary, but they have to be ready. Maybe he's feeling too much pressure from the top to play the big money signings. Only he knows why these guys didn't get any play.

Players are unmotivated.

- Everyone can see that the players are unhappy. There are constant reports of unrest and dissatisfaction. The players certainly aren't playing inspired like a top coach should be. A coach needs to be a leader but also strike some fear to keep these players playing with their hearts out. AVB has made some questionable calls and no doubt has alienated some of the older players.

- It's not hard to motivate young players. They're hungry to make a name for themselves. It's the older guys that need the motivation. However, VB decided he wants to piss off the older players but still play them every game. Boggles the mind.

Our football HASN'T changed.

- AVB keeps saying we're playing more beautiful, expansive football...no we're not. We're not playing well at all. Just because you play Barcelona's 4-3-3 doesn't mean all of a sudden you're going to play like them. He's playing the same uncreative, slow players as before and just saying that we're changing. My two eyes don't lie, our football isn't attractive in the slightest and we're losing more than ever before.

It's like AVB just doesn't get it. Just because you play a 4-3-3 and tell the players to pass it like Barcelona doesn't mean it's going to happen. He kept telling the media that we're playing more attractive football, then backtracked when he realized we're shit. Now he says wait till next year, completely ignoring his duties and responsibilities in the present.

We keep trying to play from the back when Cech is a horrible passer and our defense is clueless. That's why Drogba needs to play so we can just boot long balls and use his size to hold the ball up. Our midfield is so bad...it's not even funny anymore. We've been saying it for 12 months now. He hasn't bought anyone. I know it's not just his call, but everyone heard Mourinho calling for RM to buy another ST last Jan, even saying he didn't trust Benzema. At least we know where he stands.

AVB just recites words from his portuguese thesaurus and hopes the media/fans are uneducated and wowed by his intelligence, when everyone can see with their eyes the product he's put out is shit and doesn't match what he's telling our ears.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brilliant. Thats says all. AVB is a joke and Chelsea is a serious thing for me. He must leave. In any other big european league (Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga) such manager in a big club would be doomed but in England some people are obsessed by SAF longevity, so they think they must keep the manager, otherwise they will look classless.

Assuming we wont win the UCL, it will be a disgrace if we give him another season, only a small club would do such a thing.

He's got some great points there, the one about Benayoun fries my brain the most, it's just the most stupid thing ever. He can help our team and it needs helping right now, he adds creativity, okay he's not great but its fucking something and better than the useless Meireles and Lampard. Also all he is doing is helping Arsenal, i don't get any of the logic, it's like AVB doesn't know what he is doing...

Selling Alex, to be honest it was the right thing because he will never be able to play highline, he is one of our best defenders but he will never be able to play highline unfortunately. Anelka was a mistake, i don't care if we got money for selling him, using him till the end of the season then him leaving on a free is much more worth it, he helps the team and most of all he would of been very useful to come on for Sturridge when he was having bad games, but no as they said it seemed AVB wanted to prove a point and sell him. But then again how do i know maybe Anelka just wanted to leave and that was that.

To say he was stupid because he loaned out Benayoun is ridiclulous. No one wanted Benayoun and every one was happy that he was loaned out. So don't say that you knew how important he could have been right now.

Many fans change their mind every two weeks so that they always know what's right but this isn't how it works...

So you're telling me, you would rather of wanted Malouda to play against Man United than Benayoun?, you're telling me your happy at the fact Benayoun has gotten Arsenal 6 points alone?.

I just say that at the start of the season most of us (including me) felt that Benayoun isn't needed at chelsea and were backing the decision to loan him out. So it's not fair to blame our Manager..
