Andre Villas-Boas has ruled two players out of Saturday's FA Cup tie due to injury - Frank Lampard and John Mikel Obi.

Lampard, who suffered a small tear in a calf muscle at Norwich last weekend, joined the squad for training today (Friday) and might be fit for Swansea on Tuesday.

Gary Cahill, who was not involved in the game at Norwich, will be either in the team or on the bench at Loftus Road.

Villas-Boas does not anticipate any more new signings this month.

First thing, you people are really starting to be annoying with signings. We have players like Kalou, Malouda, Drogba, Mikel, Bosingwa and Lampard who are all on the verge of exit. January is not when you make such radical changes and bring adequate signings. Would you rather sign Hazard for 20m in the summer or Willian for 29m now?

Second thing, read this carefully:

"I think our project next year is more important than the actual project at the moment. Not that Willian doesn't have the characteristics for the future but we are betting a lot on what we can build on for next year." - AVB

You need to be aware that we have Josh on loan who may even become a 1st team regular next season. Where does Sturridge's future lie? Striker or Winger? What about Torres? Keep him, dump him? Kakuta? What if he does well on his loan and there is no place for him?

People bitch about Bosingwa staying 'till the end of the season...what would you do, bring a new RB paying more then he is worth and putting Ivanovic on the bench? He wouldn't be happy and he would want to leave in the summer. Play Hutch? Basically until yesterday we throught his career was over and he has made a comeback. This is not a fairytale and do not make him our future RB already. He needs time and chances to show what he can do.

There are a lot of major decisions to be made regarding our squad and January is not the time we should be doing it.

Let's finish this crazy season, try to grab FA cup, top 4 finish and let the AVB era begin! Mark my words, we will have a summer like most of you people have in Football Manager ;)

And besides, this is CHELSEA and AVB! There is still a couple of days to go so don't be surprised if we pull something out of nowhere.

Chances of us getting Hazard in the summer will be slim , because other teams will be intrested to and if a team like Real comes in he will more likely choose them over us.

Our transfer targets will also depend on weather we get a top 4 spot.

Oh ffs!

Roman pulls all the strings, admits Chelsea's puppet boss Villas-Boas

oh and a lovely quote

Villas-Boas denied Chelsea were looking to sell Jose Bosingwa, insisting they still planned to activate a clause in the right-back's contract that would keep him at the club until 2014.

It's no secret that Chelsea's interest in KDB predates the arrival of AVB. The club were interested in Willian before AVB arrived, as well. As far as Bosingwa stands, we'd extend his contract to prevent him leaving for free, i'd imagine. Just the media being fantastical as per.

Doubt that this is an Abramovich signing per se, I think it's a suggestion made by Emenalo (chief scout) long before AVB arrived. That's what you get when you don't have stability in management, the future decisions must be made by the board because managers don't have the time to do that. And the Bosingwa thing, PLEASE TELL ME THAT'S NOT TRUE. FuCK.

It's actually also on the official website

The manager also discounted reports that

Jose Bosingwa

may be sold and confirmed that an option to extend the player's contract for next season will be exercised.

'Regarding signing a forward player, we looked at the options and clubs are asking for a lot of money. There is not a lot of money around at the moment, neither in society nor in football clubs. We have to take the responsibility of making correct market judgements accordingly and the January transfer market is always inflated.'

Shows they're looking, at least..

If the Bosingwa stuff is true, then it sucks. But oh well, even the best managers get blinded and make mistakes. There was the case of Mourinho persisting with Quaresma.....

But I found some encouraging words with what AVB said in:

"but we are betting a lot on what we can build on next year."

LIke I stated before in some post, my initial goal for AVB at Chelsea was to finish 3 or 4th his first season and no trophies.

Second season was to finish 3rd or 2nd with a small trophie like Carling or FA Cup.

And third season was when he needed to start killing team and winning big.

I think we are on right track with those encouraging words. :)
