Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

When Drogba was going off we saw how the players were searching for drinks and huddled around AVB listening to him. I mean what does this journalist expect?.. for them to drop everything, ignore the game, pull up a chair and makes notes?

You see Alex Ferguson, Mourinho etc etc, rambling as the game is being played, players are focused.. they will only partially listen.

Exactly!! They dont just skip across the field and ask him to repeat what he had shouted as they couldnt hear because they were to busy playing

It aint intresting its one crap ournalist trying make a story out of nothing really..he might have been shouting at Hilaro all we know and seeing as he was far away werent exactly gana listen seeing as he couldnt hear

No, this is a serious journalist in whom I have confidence. He only works for serious newspapers, like France Football. And it really isn't his kind to make story out of nothing. He was only responding to someone on a radio's blog.

Anyway, I just though I'd post that here, so if you wanna think it is bullshit and irrelevant, do so lmao. To my eyes, it is woth to be noticed and mentioned.

Yeh thats fair enough.I just think due to the matter of the situation being during the game then there are reasons it can be inored etc, mean Jose used to stand and shout and make gestures but if any of them got heard/seen who knows and all.Whereas if it was a training exercise or whatever no excuse and you would think more hmmmm what is going on sorta thing

If think I have been misunderstood.

During a game, you see teams are changing their game, they start to play faster, slower, put more pressure, etc... That is not because in their mind they are saying "oh, why not play that way ?". No, that is the coach telling them to do so. What the journalist was implied there, that is - for example (I'll take a false exemple, just to show you) - when André Villas-Boas was telling to X to stay on the leftside and to stop to coming on the right, this X wasn't listening to him and was keeping to come on the right.

I do not know if I expressed myself in a clear way.

Hmm... Bawling -> shout/yell/scream. To give his orders..

Maybe they aren't ignoring him but are just incapable of doing what he wants. The truth is most of the players we have just don't suit his style. If you look at his reactions during the game he just seems unhappy most of the time.

Well, the French journalists that I know, and I think might have been at SB probably works with Canal+. Trust me those people never say anything positive about Chelsea. "Oh no, this is not the way football should be played, we are bored with this chelsea footbal. OMG, chelsea have to be careful... etc." then suddenly, "Yes, its the frenchman Anoulka that saves Chelsea with that goal. OHH OUI, Malouda does it again for Chelsea..." duhhh., c'mon. Those french journalists dedicate 75% of their airtime discussing Arsenal stuff. Now this year, they are on Man City, with their "Petit Prince of Marseille" - Nasri. Should have seen them on sunday, probably they were having multiple orgasms when Nasri had 3 assists. FFS.

so when it comes to French journalists talking about EPL, its like watching Allan Shearer talking BS about Torres. Maybe I am a little biased but only Marcel Desailly talks some sense when its about CFC (He now works with Canal+).

A journalist who was at the Bridge saturday, and was sat at ~15 yards from Boas :

Interesting..

It was in a Champions League match in 2007 when I had my most serious confrontation with the manager. We scored from a quick free-kick while Lille were assembling their wall. After protesting to the ref, they started walking off.

‘Come on, get on with the f****** game,’ I said to their captain, following him towards the side of the pitch. The next thing I knew the manager was charging down the touchline, shouting at me. ‘What are you doing? Get back on!’

As far as I was concerned, I’d been doing the sensible thing, trying to get everyone to get on with a game we were now leading. So I snapped back — ‘F*** off’ — and walked away.

Now, I’ve said ‘f*** off’ a million times to a lot of different people but never to the manager before. I knew I wasn’t going to get away with it. Afterwards I got a call to go and see the boss in his office. He was apoplectic. He blitzed me.

By Gary Neville

Basically the Twat Journos are just waiting to pounce on the "Players dont listen to AVB cus he is young" headlines.

* facepalm *

And me, I know this journalist, I konw he doesn't work for Canal+, and I know the kind of person he is. I listen to him very often, and... Oh wait. If you people wanna use the "journos don't like Chelsea blabla...". I have already state how he said that, in what situation. If you want to believe it is primary anti-Chelsea, good for you... I just know he doesn't tell bullshit.

Ah yeah my bad. I didn't want especially to imply that they were ignoring him. To sum up, they didn't apply his orders for X or Y reason. Whether they did that because they ignore him, or because they are unable to apply his orders, I do not know.

Though I am agree with you, they are just incapable to respond to his expectations. Because you know, you can't evolve Malouda, Anelka and co, they ain't pokémons.

AVB :

"The teams dropping from Champions League to the Europa League shouldn't be the teams that qualify third in the group," said Villas-Boas, who won Europe's second club competition with Porto last season.

"It should be the teams that go on to the last 16 of the Champions League.

"Because it looks like you are promoting the unsuccessful teams in the group phase.

"Most of them, they want to qualify as one of the two top teams.

"A lot of people agreed."

So harsh on the managers when it's the players who have performed like a team full of retards in the last 2 UCL eliminations. We were piss poor against Inter and the mancs. I do feel that with this freshened up team, we could challenge better this year. Mata is gonna be a star for us, the best signing for ages.
