"After Koulibaly, CFC set their sights on another Serie A defender. They have submitted a 42M euro offer with bonuses included for Alessio Romagnoli"

Sport and Diario Sport are not reliable then I take it (don't know if it's the same paper or two different ones)?

yeah except it's not that easy in reality when you're trying to buy a player that the player's club does not want to sell. We are operating under the idea that eventually they'll cave if we propose enough money. The problem is that according to various reports, we have been offering more and more money (reportedly up to 60M pounds) and as of now De Laurentis and Napoli have stood firm and said no. Whether they are cunning, knowing we are desperate and will keep upping our bids, or simply want to keep the player because he is important for them, is anyone's guess. But to suggest the club isn't offering enough in this case is off the mark if reports are to be believed (the ones claiming we are offering between 50-60M pounds for him). The club are actually going above and beyond what we, as fans, would expect from them (i.e. bidding world record sums for a defender who's only recently started attracting attention for his play in the last year). It's not my money so if the club think they can afford to bid 60M pounds on defenders, more power to them... just hope it works and we get him

pay "what fee"? we're rumored to be bidding between 50-60M pounds already... they don't have a set fee at which they'll let him go, they're trying to hold on to him from what's being reported

lol at the idea that A, bonucci is available and B that he would cost so little given recent transfer prices Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

that's a good discussion actually: james or lukaku? xPetrCechx posted a quote a few pages where james claimed madrid received a 85M euro bid for him. That's more or less the 75M pounds everton want for lukaku... not sure who i would go for between these two: lukaku is younger and proven 15-20 goal scorer in PL whereas james has the potential to be a sanchez/hazard type talent if he plays his best PS: for the record, james isn't "slow", he is just average speed ...

great post from the match thread bro, do you have anymore amazing insight? Great performance by the team, lacked just that bit of creativity without fab in there but still looked good overall... hopefully one or two more signings and we can compete for the league

if we get matuidi, i'd prefer to keep matic and move on someone like mikel instead but he would more likely be a matic replacement i think...

we should have sold papy to them instead of sunderland

I know it's goal.com but this guy Nizar Kinsella has shown to be somewhat in the know at chelsea (he's their chelsea correspondent) @chelsea_hq i met this great man. thats why i was there. and mahrez arrived when I left pic.twitter.com/7x7V05hY0Q — AlessandroLondon! (@AlessandroLdn) August 8, 2016 Leicester City's owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha took to Instagram last Friday to insist that the PFA Player of the Year was not for sale but Chelsea still hold hope that they can conclude a deal. Claudio Ranieri, though, has admitted that Mahrez - who was seen at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel - has been distracted by talk of a move away. Mahrez was instrumental as Leicester shocked the football world by winning the Premier League title last season, scoring 17 goals and contributing 11 assists. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892/transfer-zone/2016/08/09/26354232/chelsea-rumours-intensify-after-conte-mahrez-spotted-at-same?ICID=HP_BN_5

some of the posters here are downright embarrassing... it's like our board is an embarrassment for not throwing an extra 20M straight away when a bid is rejected. Some of the spoiled fans here are a bad look for our club, sad.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Also wanted to mention that a lot of you guys are over reacting I feel. Of course I would love Koulibaly too but i think people forget that we have one of the best young CBs to come back to our line-up in zouma... conte can make our defence viable with those 3 (jt, zouma and cahill) i believe, in a worst case scenario Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

he's an unbelievable manager and I have infinite respect for what he did for us but a part of me can't help but be happy he will be creating controversies and acting in a classless manner (at times) for our rivals and not us. Like others have said here, I can't, for the life of me, see him lasting more than 3 years there...
-
did you believe we could go from champions to 10th? Did you believe leicester could go from 14th to being champions? Conte took over a weak juve team which had been struggling with back to back 7th place finishes and transformed them into dominating champions in serie a. If the players put their heads down and embrace all that conte has to offer, there is no reason it can't happen with us too. Not saying we'll win the league but I honestly expect us to be up there and battling it out with the manchester clubs

hopefully this is similar to when drogba sulked in his early chelsea career and even wanted out. However if he continues to sulk and does not put in the effort conte wants from him between now and end of august, maybe selling him would be best...

really hope its not a case of lukaku coming in and costa leaving... there aren't really any great strikers on the market apart from him though as far as I know.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

they have phoney sponsorships with various UAE companies worth hundreds of millions of dollar, purposefully over inflated amounts which are in reality not really for the sponsorships but rather a way for the abudabi royalty to fund their team "legally"... although now that ffp seems to be over, they could just do the cash injections directly but it looks better presented under the guise of sponsorships Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
