This guy is the real deal. What an amazing goal he's just scored. I don't know about his work-rate, but I think he'd fit perfectly in the 10 role.
-
Rest in peace
-
Oh God, the guy just turned 18 a few days ago and his father is already talking about two years of stagnation. He expected what in this two years? A Champions League trophy? EPL starts at the age of 17?
-
He is the "super-agent", one of Jose's best friends and his agent too, Cristiano's agent, Falcao, Thiago Silva, Diego Costa, Pepe, Di Maria, James, Moutinho, Valdes, De Gea etc. Cream of the crop.
-
Nah, he was a bit dramatic I guess. You could see from the replay, there's nothing to worry about with that injury.
-
Why is that surprising? How long do you expect to be out for a sprained ankle? Four months? There's no rocket science in dealing with a sprained ankle, that's a minor injury, one of those "easy" injuries you get in football, it only keeps you out for a maximum of 4 or 5 days, no more than that. Probably Jose won't force him against Liverpool, but he will 101% be fit for the Champions League game.
-
He meant Thorgan Hazard in Belgium
-
Madrid with a 25% possesion at home, a counter-attacking game plan and a goal scored. Chelsea is not involved, so there is no way you can call this prehistoric football or parking the bus. This is a heroic performance, a brilliant counter-attacking game and some unbelievable tactics from Carlo...

The thing is you would pay that money, I would pay that money, but I just can't see Jose dragging himself in a bidding war for Shaw. And €35m and a €6m p/a contract for an 18 yo guy is a lot of money to be honest. As much as I'd love Chelsea to sign this lad, I just can't see it happening if the reported amounts offered by United are true. Big money there and a vacant spot at LB for Shaw. Talking about a good LB, I think Ricardo Rodriguez is someone to keep an eye on. I've watched Wolfsburg millions of times and that guy is the real deal. Miles ahead of Shaw. He's been in superb form this season and I won't lie if I say he's the best LB in Bundesliga right now. And his price won't be influenced by being Swiss, or French or whatever.

Is Chelsea The Most Hated Club In Europe?
petre.ispirescu replied to Spike's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Arsenal, City, United parking the bus = heroic performance Chelsea parking the bus = boring football, ultra defensive approach, ugly/prehistoric football, 90 minutes of eye bleeding etc. etc. Hatters gonna hate. Isn't that fancy football the reason they can't get past the Group-stage? Or Quarter-finals? -
Although El Pais is probably the most reputable newspaper in Spain, and a respected newspaper worldwide (Diego Torres works for them), I think this rumour is BS. If Roman wanted Cavani that much, he would have outbid Paris last summer. Diego Costa to Chelsea is a done deal imo. And Courtois playing last night solidified this.
-
If he is out for the season (which is odd, because a sprained ankle can't last longer than 4-5 days) I'd stick with Ash at LB, Azpi at RB and go for a Cahill - Ivanovic CB pairing. And Luiz in front of them. He is in superb form when playing as a midfielder and I just can't trust him at CB anymore. But fingers crossed for JT. Hope the Liverpool game is the only one he will miss.

Monster performance by Cahill and some great tactics by Mourinho against one of the best teams in Europe. A win at the Bridge and we're going to Lisbon Love this nights when all the haters fighting for a TOP4 spot or, worst, a Europa League spot are bragging about Chelsea's style
-
Mikel, Ramires, Torres. Wow
-
It is Insua and Koke for Atleti. Mikel and Lampard for Chelsea.

Missed this one, I had some days off and went on a small holiday. No TV, no internet connection. Nothing. But I watched the extended highlights earlier and fuck!!! So frustrating losing like that. And Mike Dean... what a deluded scouser that guy is. An insult to this football game. I was optimistic of fighting for the title until the last minute of this season, but it's over now. I feel sorry for the lads, but the FA gifted Liverpool the title long time ago. Bring home the Champions League! Come on Chelsea! Onwards and upwards!
-
Don't know where this all came from, but if it's true, please Jose, make it happen. Matic - Vidal. This is insane. I just have a feeling that if the rumours are true and Jose really wants Vidal, then he might convince Juve to negociate by adding to the deal a player they are interested in - Lukaku. I love Lukaku, but Vidal is a monster. If Juve would ask for Lukaku to be included in the deal, I'd say "yes" and sign the papers in the blink of an eye. I'd even ask them if they want Ramires too. €30m + Lukaku + Ramires. Come one Jose, work your magic!

Azpilicueta and attacking full-back in the same sentence does not sound right. There's a rule in football - when a full-back goes to support the attacking players, the other one stays at the back. I think Azpilicueta will always be the one that stays at the back. At least as long as Mourinho is at Chelsea. LB or RB, Azpilicueta will always be the defensive minded full-back at Chelsea. But I support your opinion. For Hazard to fulfill his potential, he needs a proper full-back to help him. And Jose should search the market for a LB in the summer. And he will, I'm sure. Right now, Hazard helps Azpilicueta at the back, but he is getting nothing in return. I'm not having a go at Azpilicueta, don't get me wrong, far from me that thought. I simply love the guy, Jose is so privileged to have such a player at his dispossal, but at the same time I think we are only seeing half of the beast Hazard really is.
-
Yo, Benfica, you in need of a midfielder? And some other players?
-
Yep, thought the same. Colkett and Christensen had a good game too, especially Christensen. Kid looks class. The Academy is packed with raw talent, especially in the pivot area. It's Jose's choice if he's going to give those guys a chance or not. But I think we will find out in the pre-season. Jose said that, because of the World Cup, he will be working with the guys at the Academy and will have an entire summer to see every one of them at work.
-
My God, Chelsea do have this quality of turning shit teams into world-beaters. Big Sam and Tony Pulis should thank Mourinho for staying safe from the relegation zone. This is what a win against a giant club can do to you.
-
Why is he better? Because he passed like a Gallardo by an inexperienced and a second-hand CB in Bartra? Every world-class defender in this world would have sent Bale in the stands there. At least this is what Terry, Ivanovic, Cahill or Azpi would have done. Especially at that moment of the game. You just can't defend the way that guy did.
-
Manuel, my fellow chileno, you fucking piece of shit, you got too cocky and you pay the price now. If you wanted to prove you are better than Mourinho you had the perfect chance at the Etihad in February. But you failed, as always. Bye bye Senor Fracaso, there might be some La Liga teams still wanting you, Malaga, Valencia, or maybe you should try and fail in Italy too, I know the perfect place in Lazio or Milan. These teams might accept your style of play - score 150 goals and finish 3rd. Four more games to go and then Manuel, all the media and Stevie G can watch Papa Mourinho lift the trophy they were all dreaming about. Come on Chels!

I don't know what you understand by hamstring injury, but as a former football player (youth) let me explain it for you - It occurs after long periods of effort by feeling something in your muscle and you can't flex your leg anymore. Some hamstring injuries are painful, some are not. As a matter a fact, you can call it hamstring injury only when your muscle starts to bleed. That's a hamstring injury. A hamstring problem does not always mean it's a hamstring injury, because it's not about one muscle, there are several muscles there. The pain is there in both cases, but to discover the bleeding in your muscle you need to have a scan. And maybe this is what happened to Sturridge - he felt the pain and had a scan. No bleeding, so no hamstring injury. Only a thigh problem. If your thigh hurts it doesn't mean you have a hamstring injury. Maybe they won't risk him at Norwich, but mos def he's going to play against Chelsea if it actually is, as they say, only a little strain.

Liverpool saying on their website that Sturridge has a 'small strain' and will now undergo a treatment programme in order to try and be available for the trip to Carrow Road. Don't know where that four to six weeks came from, but I think he will 100% be available against Chelsea.
