Brilliant display of what the team can do under Mourinho in the first half, the attacks were oozing creativity and flair, and was just denied by some exceptional saves from the keeper. 3 points, and another possible 3 on Wednesday, the rotation of the squad will really help us win those pesky games where international, European, domestic cup games will try and carve down the fitness of the lads. Nice to see Oscar and Kevin playing well, with still Moses, Mata, Shurrle on the side waiting to play. In Jose we trust! Atmosphere around the stadium was the best in a long while, could really be a fortress if the fans keep up the same enthusiasm, that alone could keep the tension on the lower teams and make it harder for them to concentrate and steal a goal.

If it is true that our Spanish players aren't capable of playing in this game, then hopefully we can get to see the Belgian connection instead. For me Romelu has shown enough talent to be second striker (though should be first on threat alone but won't happen this season), and i think Kevin will add alot of attacking prowess in the center with Moses/Shurrle on the right allowing Hazard to free roam and create havic on the left - and maybe interchange with Kevin.

I was only able to see the second half, but i was really pleased with both Hazard and Lampard's performance, i think Lamps could be killer in a rotation spot, with his killer balls forward and eye for goal, it would help against the lesser teams and could be a dynamic part of the play when he comes off the bench. Bertrand seemed very composed in the game, and worked really well in defence and in attack - which was nice to see. With a few added players, such as Rooney or another striker, it will help bring the team into a much better light - though i felt Lukaku-Ba could be a partnership that could be used quite well with the right supporting players.

If Mikel leaves, then i think he could be added as a possible string player in rotation, as well as appearances through Carling Cup and FA Cup ties.
