  1. That would be nice to see but £40 million for both wouldn't be the overall amount they would be bought for, especially Neymar.
  2. I think you mean Ferreira -- Ivanovic - Terry - Zhirkov Malouda -- Mikel -- McEarhan Kalou -- Anelka -- Sturridge/Kakuta Would be a strong team for me.
  3. Yes, but the history of his goalscoring is terrific for Man United, and with the chances of him playing below par for us could be the same that he can play above par because we have more creative players in the squad, ie Cole and Malouda.
  4. Zhirkov or Van Aanholt to play Left Back? Fuck me, the list of names that are injured is surely a bad sign. Looks like some youngsters may some chances in the first team. McEarhan to start?
  5. If the club has a debt, i don't think they would be to rash as they were with Ronaldo. And Rooney is a quality player, no matter who he has played for. If he came here instead of Man Ure from Everton it would have been a different story. We have now got the chance to sign a quality young striker, it is just about Rooney's decision and Roman's backing now. If Carlo says the arms are open to a deal, then i am open to him joinging. Afterall, King Carlo knows what's best for Chelsea FC.
  6. A talented forward who still has potential, easily one of England's best strikers. I doubt it would happen, but wouldn't mind him coming to Stamford Bridge, he's English and still under 25, and think of all the money we could get from the marketing, it could double that of what we would pay of him. Can play on the wing and as all out sriker (as Warnie said) skilled at both, but better as a striker. Think the wages would be high, and Man Ure would want a huge sum of money for him though.
  7. Ashley Cole is an British legend, not only a Chelsea legend. He wouldn't be compared to JT or Lampard due to his Arsenal years, or the place which molded him to become the perfect player he has become. I would love to see a plaque or a box named after him in the decades ahead, but then again, that's then and we are here now, so you don't know how much bigger of a legend he can become.
  8. Would like to see Borini have a run around, about time he should get a chance in the first team, even for 30 mins. Would love to see McEarhan start and/or Bruma as well. Getting a good vibe from this game, possibly 3-0 or 2-0 i think.
  9. 1 point better off then last season from this game, time to do it at Man City at SB later in the season!
  10. A nice read for once, coming from the daily mail. I am indeed glad that he hadn't left and eager to see him finish his career. He has to one of the best left backs in history. And good to see him praise Carlo. Time to add to that success story
  11. Experience, and the fact that he ISN'T 100% fit should help explain the reason he lacked pace today. On his day he can skill past players and can cross a ball into the box, like a winger should. He is still young, Kakuta has to learn from experience in order to prevail, and not to give him the time is not going to help his development. I see where you come from in a sort of a way, but to ignore the fact that he has potential shouldn't be denied, and that he has some presence in a squad which he can help. As for Bruma i think he is another prime example of a youngster needing experience, maybe a loan move in January could mold his confidence and help develop his strength against the opposition. One thing i can say is, if Kakuta is going to have a chance at Chelsea, you can't pounce at him when he gets chances. You have to remember, this is the player that lit up the U-19 Euro Championship for France.
  12. I hope for the sake of Chelsea, that this contract crap is sorted as soon as possible. It could be a distraction for Kakuta, and could harm his performance if it isn't sorted out sooner rather then later. I would be devastated if i ever saw Kakuta in another club's shirt!
  13. I think we could win this game, but how well and by how many depends on the tactics definitely in the midfield, hopefully it will be disclipined enough that we can counter attack well and also defend well when attacked by Villa. Anelka to score a brace would be perfect.
  14. We need Bruma/Cork/Mancienne!
  15. I thought Daily Mail was an unreliable source?
  16. And there's people who thought 9/11 was a conspiracy?
  17. If we were Man Utd, we could buy him for about 25p, but because we are the mighty Chelsea, it would be £30 million which is too much. Spend the money on Lukaku and watch the investment become worthwhile.
  18. We have Essien and Lampard, and if needed we have McEarhan as back up, young but he has already shown us he can be called upon when needed.
  19. What is the point? Santos won't let him leave easily and the buy out clause of his new contract is way too much. He had the chance to come, but fucked around and missed it. The likelyhood of him coming with such a more amount would be last to none, if it really was his 'dream' to come and he wasn't ready we could have loaned him back, but that wasn't the done deal.
  20. Turnball plus a few million seems like a good deal, he is awful and never did really understand how he was transferred to SB anyway.
  21. I know we cam for three points and we did what was needed to get the result, but i felt personally disappointed by the second half performance after the hype of the first half. We weren't playing our all, and i know that, but there has to be some standard which we can show so that they can say 'they can win this thing'. All i can say is overall is was decent, and that i hope that we can perform top in the next game. And at least give McEarhan 10 minutes, he is a one of kind, and better to develop sooner then later.
  22. The fact that Marseille was in complete control and the players just seemed off. We were lucky, imo, that we didn't conceed. I think the players would be more burnt out running after the ball because they didn't have the possession. To be fair, i think we should have made attack better, and that we showed some weakness down the right hand flank no and then and even the right winger had to come all the way back to help defend, making an counter attack even less strong. Like i said, if Zhirkov came off earlier that we would at least have more control in midfeild. EDIT: Oh and the constant switching off players in positions, imo didn't help either. Malouda in the right wing isn't as strong on his left, and Kakuta in CM isn't as strong either, and also tires them out more.
  23. Good first half, dissapointing second. Zhirkov should have came off earlier.
