I don't know anything about FFP, but surely the fact that we have broken even, plus possible future deals (such as Luiz, if i read right) and sponships deals that may occur on dependance of our current form (Premier League title, etc.) means we are set for a significant rise in profit in the coming-seasons based on the fact we have a smaller stadium in comparison of clubs in the same 'level' as us who haven't been able to reach that level and are struggling to gain a significant enough rise with the players they have on their wage bill.

We have so many options in central midfield atm in terms of prospect. Just hope him or another English talent in the same position can establish themselves - no matter what role that is.

I agree with LDN Blue, different circumstances with different generations. But i would have to also agree with LDN that Clough would be my choice, though it is somewhat underhanded how Taylor's role has never matched the highlights of Clough's personality. To me he embodied the old English football cliche of the 'under-dog' spirit and instilled it to bring success to clubs that didn't look could reach those heights and hasn't come close too since he left them. Still find it saddening to the way the ending of the Clough/Taylor relationship came about, together they seemed the best management partnership.

why couldn't we have kept him instead of trading him off for Luiz

COSTA load of money but will COSTA lot of teams some vital points with his goals! Did you see what did there?

In the future, that friendship would be awesome if he comes as good as he potentially could be!!

I think if Jose get's it right we COULD be undeafted in the PL - we have done the away days at both City and United, won at home against Arsenal - we have the squad strength that we missed last year, clear strikers in Costa, Remy and Drogba that could make a difference (Didier did it against United eventually), a 'good' defence, a brilliant prospect as well as a brilliant-now goalkeeper, a star in Hazard with accomplices like Willian, The midfeild kind of speaks for itself. To me, it is down to how Jose approaches the games that matters, all-attacking, counter, etc. that makes the points count.

I dunno why but i envision Oscar being the dark horse who will score goals that REALLY matter come towards our aims. He just has that skill-set, and with the play he is playing atm, it all seems to connect towards that way. Not a man who impresses with assist and goals but rather works for the team when it truly matters.
