@Laura The vast majority of these players have no chance of staying here next season, we are going to have a massive clear out at the end of the season. The vast majority of these players will be looking for new clubs and they know it, I just don't see where the incentive will come from. Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham players have massive incentives to get in the top 4 not many of ours have an incentive.

Attacking Midfielder/ Wingers Arjen Robben ( His pace will be vital, we'll have Elia on the bench too who can shift lol) Wesley Sneijder ( He's and absolute legend, he's the brains and the driving force) Georginio Wijnaldrum ( I really rate this boy, he's 2 wonderful feet and he's got great vision. He would spot Robben's forward runs along with Sneijder) (Striker) Robin Van Persie ( He's probably the best striker in Europe at the moment and last time we had that we won the Euro's, this guy called Marco Van Basten was in sizzling form) We can we win it in my opinion. We have a very hard group but we'll beat Portugal and Denmark and we'll get a draw against the German's.

Can anybody give me a good reason why these players would want to get us into a competition that the vast majority of them will not be playing in next season ? When we did it in 03-04 (just before Roman arrived) we had a bunch of hungry talented players who wanted to do it because the club had hardly played in the Championsleague, this is a different kettle of fish, most of these players who will be leaving at the end of the season are old run down players with medals in the cupboard. The only players who know they will be here next season and if they play well they will be in the starting 11 are Mata, Ramires, Sturridge........... even the likes of A.cole and Cech will probably face fierce competition next season. A.cole will be up against 2 young hungry left backs in Ryan and Pat who will look to show the manager that they are better then him. Cech could face the dilemma Carlo Cudicini had back in 04 were a young hungry Goalkeeper is trying to take his place !

I love your optimism but way too many players in this Chelsea side know FOR A FACT that they are not going to be at the club next season and that is terrible. Players like Malouda, Raul, Bosingwa, Kalou, Lampard, Drogba, Mikel, Ferreira and Hilario are all going to be either shown the door or if they don't want to leave they'll will be warming the bench. Lampard is deluded, he thinks that he deserves to be in the side on merit when in reality he does not and he's causing problems. I really thought he was better then that, Lampard never used to hang his dirty washing out for everyone to see. Drogba is in his final stages and he's only getting into the side because Torres is stale milk at the grand old age of 27 years of age. Malouda will probably make the French side for Euro 2012 and after that he'll be going to Brazil to finish his career like he has been saying for a while now.

We can do it but i don't think we will do it in the end. I think Arsenal have that impetus to go on and clinch it, they have more creativity in their ranks and they have a prime Robin Van Persie who can't stop scoring. We don't have a striker to get us consistent goals and I just think that is where we will probably just miss out. I know this might sound a bit horrible but I blame this on TORRES ! Alan shearer was highlighting his lack of desire to get in the box last night on match of the day and he's hiding now. Look at Lampard's movement for the Mata cross it was brilliant and Torres was outside the box, he didn't even make the run he just stood there like an idiot. We have basically played the whole season without a striker, we need someone to stand in that 6 yard box, Drogba can do it but he's near the end now. That's why i would play Lukaku and give him valuable first team experience instead of wasting time on 2 striker that WILL NOT BE HERE NEXT SEASON !

Gerrard is such a driving force, he's the absolute heart beat of his club. Gerrard played in a much weaker Liverpool side and when a quality striker called Torres arrived he actually out scored and out assisted Lampard.

His personal wealth is £15 million, he's wealthier then Garry Neville who played in this league for like 20 years, he obviously has many other business interests. Gerrard is and was the better player.

His objective for this season is to play a shit load of games and to establish himself like Sturridge did. He is playing a lot of games of late and he's creating and scoring goals, his confidence is back and he has grown taller. He is also doing the basic things well, when he was with us he over cooked things and it was killing his confidence. He has to learn from Zidane, Zidane would pass the ball 90% of the time but the 10% would be him dribbling and trying taking a chance. Gael has superb and I mean SUPERB VISION, he just needs to get games under his belt !

I think it was just the fact that the club just wanted to offer him a contract he would not turn down because they didn't have much time to conclude it. Torres actually took a pay cut to join Liverpool which is another kick in the teeth, Chelsea football club has to be run as a business and not a toy. We have spent 80 million pounds on 2 strikers ( Sheva/Torres) in recent years and those 2 transfers have dented our financial aspirations.

If Torres goes the rest of the season without scoring a goal I think he should voluntarily terminate his contract. He's gone 1298 mins on the pitch without a goal, in fact he has watched players like Ramires, Sturridge and Mata create and finish their own chances time and time again. I can already see that Mata has given up on him, when Mata first arrived he was trying to put everything on a plate for Torres but now he's just took a leaf from Sturridge's book and he's bypassing Torres.

Sturridge is in the top 5 best young strikers in Europe, if we ever did this I would set up a fund raising program so I could Sue the person who made the decision to let Danny go for a 100 meter runner. Look i understand why some people might be a bit pissed off with Danny because he's a bit of a ball hog but the guy is a striker playing on the wing just because he has ''Pace''. He had a blinding season last season with Bolton were he was playing in a front 2 and he was making runs in behind defences. The guy has brilliant movement in and around the box and we have seen that numerous times, the movement at white hart lane bamboozled Benoit Assou Ekotto also the movement in the box for the header at Wigan was sublime he left the defender for dead. Walcott does not have that type of movement because he does not have the spacial awarenesses because THAT REQUIRES A FOOTBALL BRAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, I enjoy the different perspective on the game. I don't like those types of people who act funny around people who just happen to support a different team its just stupid. You have to have an open mind to different opinions !
