do you think i will be able to get tickets for this on general sale or will they sell out to quickly? plz reply
-
i would have liked to see kakuta play instead of deco at the tip of the diamond but we should win as long as we dont do silly mistakes
-
4. matic 7. kakuta 9. borini
-
jose bosingwa has returned to training but is still a few weeks away from starting
-
in the reverse fixture they packed the midfield so we couldnt get through. we should go 4-3-3 and start with kakuta, sturridge and anelka up front. kakuta will be able to weave his way through hulls crappy defence
-
full time
-
kakuta on for ashley cole, zhirkov shifted to left-back
-
matic is on for belletti
-
i would bring off malouda for kakuta so it would be abit like a 4-4-1-1 formation
-
matic and kakuta should start aswel
-
bring sturridge and kakuta on 4 kalou and ballack carlo!!!!

Anelka is out for the games against birmingham and fulham with a calf injury. sturridge will start ahead of kalou yay! ANCELOTTI: YOUNGSTERS CAN FLOURISH Ancelotti will be putting his faith in youth over the coming games, as he prepares for life without a number of his experienced regulars. Already missing are Michael Essien and Nicolas Anelka, both ruled out for the matches against Birmingham and Fulham, while Deco is the latest to join the list of casualties. That means Daniel Sturridge will be given a first Chelsea Premier League start alongside Didier Drogba, who could be playing his final game before departing for Angola and the African Cup of Nations. 'Anelka is a small muscle problem but he is not ready to play these games, against Fulham also. If Didier Drogba is not here we can put other players in, Sturridge has a good opportunity to show his quality,' Ancelotti explained. 'He played against West Ham very well in the second half and against Birmingham can play from the beginning. 'We have some problems because we have to play without Anelka, Essien and Deco in these games but we have a possibility if we do 100 per cent, to win. 'It's very important. We are in a very good position, we are four points top, it's not our best moment because we didn't play well the last games but for this we have to stay concentrated and focused to try to win. 'We play against very strong teams, Birmingham arrived from five consecutive victories and one draw. They are difficult to play, they are very strong and work hard for 90 minutes with a lot of pressure. It is a difficult game for us.' The manager also ruled out January transfer activity, insisting he can really on the talent he already has. 'I have a lot of confidence in my strikers, not only Drogba, not only Kalou, not only Anelka, also Sturridge and Borini. Against Fulham maybe we have only Sturridge and Borini, but in January we have Anelka. 'I didn't ask for new players to my club, we have a good solution internally. We don't need new players in this moment.' That also means that Franco Di Santo and Michael Mancienne will not be recalled from their loans at Blackburn and Wolves respectively. With six points to play for, it could be a fantastic Christmas for Chelsea. Ancelotti has warm wishes for everyone. 'I want to wish Merry Christmas to all the people, not only Chelsea fans,' he said. 'Christmas is very important for everyone and I wish all the best for all the people, the fans of every team, and I hope next year will be the same. 'I was surprised in this six months, I think that in England there is a very good future of sport. Every game there is a fantastic atmosphere and I hope in the future it will be the same.'

Sturridge can step up
millzy_chelsea_fan replied to millzy_chelsea_fan's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
i hope we dont sign aguero. he costs way too much and sturridge and borini are more than capable of having great Chelsea futures -
Michael Ballack believes young striker Daniel Sturridge is capable of covering for Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou when they leave next month for the African Cup of Nations. Sturridge, 20, played a substitute role in Sunday's 1-1 draw with West Ham and will likely have to step into the breech in January when two of the Blues' strikers go overseas. He will be expected to assist Nicolas Anelka in the coming weeks as Carlo Ancelotti's side bid to maintain their four-point lead at the top of the Premier League table. Ballack believes the Under 21 star is capable of dealing with such pressure despite his youth. He does, however, admit his concerns over the Blues' strike power should Anelka, who suffered a minor muscle strain last week, ever be sidelined. Step up "Yes he can (step up) - he has to," said Ballack. "We will miss Didier as well as Kalou. We have to hope that nothing happens to Nico (Anelka) because he will be our main striker. "He has not been in good shape this past week but hopefully he can recover and there will be no other injuries. "Daniel is still a young player but now he has a big chance to show his qualities, which he has - that's why he's at Chelsea. "He has been a bit unlucky with injury, but he has come back at the right time and has an opportunity to get more games and help the team." Getting by Chelsea will also have to manage without John Obi Mikel and Michael Essien during the African Cup of Nations which runs from January 10th to 31st. "Of course it's a problem if you lose players of that quality," added Ballack. "They would be a big miss for us if they were gone a week, but they are away for four to five weeks. "But we have handled this in the past and hopefully the players behind them, like Daniel, have the quality to close this gap."
