well my thought is that, maybe, just maybe, because that at that time chelsea are winning 3-0, and there's just a little pressure from newcastle for us to defend, so yea, this is their chance to prove whats their worth.... its a good thing to see you know, because it happen at the right time, right situation... but it is sucks when it happens while we're losing... and imo, i think all the subs that mou has made during this season, are always fit in well actually...

I think Mourinho has a point when he says that we are not favourites. City have a great squad, Arsenal have continuity, but just think about how many changes happened in our team before and during this season. Remember how Azpi turned into a LB or how Oscar, Hazard, Mata and Willian kept rotating a few months ago. Even at this point we don't even have a crystalised starting 11 to begin with. We don't know who is our main striker. Remember how Matic was signed just a few days ago and he's already in the starting 11. Jose is building, he's thinking everything through all the time. Nothing is ready for us, yet. Still, we are there, just like he said. Which is just enormous. Imagine what happens when the mechanism will be ready.
Nevertheless, being in the title race might seem normal, but just think about it as if there was no Mourinho. What he managed to do so far is astonishing, but people don't understand that anymore, since they got used to it.

^ Also, even IF we were going to 'go down that route' and compare 'individuals' (I haven't been), Mourinho is one of the greatest managers in sporting history, Mata is nobody compared to someone of that calibre, absolutely nobody.

I don't think Mou actually has a point either when he says that stuff. Just trying to deflect. He brings it up at the most random times. It's like he has a few go-to statements about every team. Whenever, someone mentions that team or manager he brings it up for no reason.
