Well i've recently come back from a trip to York which I do every year as I absolutely love the area. I've been going for the past 9 or 10 years and it's somehwere where I can feel relaxed as it's so peaceful. I met up with some fellow blues for the Atletico Madrid Game which was good. I'm back at work now (groan!!) and I'm trying to get my passport renewed so that I can hopefully go to see Chelsea play somewhere abroad in the new year. Other than that, I'm trying to keep up-to-date with all things Chelsea and will continue to go to matches here in the UK.

I don't know much about him, but I can see he was appreiciated by us when he was at Chelsea. Let's hope for a speedy recovery. According to Chelseafc.com Petr Cech visited him in hospital CECH: CUDICINI DOING WELL Petr Cech visited his good friend and former team-mate Carlo Cudicini in hospital yesterday (Thursday). Cudicini was involved in a road accident yesterday, sustaining broken wrists and an injury to his pelvis. Speaking on the first live video interview hosted on the official Chelsea website today, Cech said: 'It is very sad but sometimes life brings unfortunate situations. 'I went and saw Carlo yesterday in the hospital. He has always been a great character and you can see he is coping well with it. He is doing well and he will undergo some operations today to help him to be as fit as possible. 'I think that everybody should keep fingers crossed for him to get well soon.'

:ballack: How can you say that Terry26 should not be in South Africa? This is her home, this is where she was born.

What the fuck are you doing on here? I haven't been a Chelsea Supporter for very long and I am trying to learn as much as I can about the club and it's players. I find people like you very offensive. I have the uttermost respect for all players past and present. I would never say the sort of things that you have done. I think people have made their views known, you are not welcome on this forum.

OK 3 weeks don't sound too bad, he'll miss Wolves, and Arsenal. I think he'll be OK for Apoel if the estimation that he'll be out for 3 weeks is correct. He jsut needs to rest.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has received a two-match touchline ban for his comments about referee Alan Wiley's fitness.More at http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/man_utd/8314326.stm Serves him right really.

Fuck, this is all we need, hope it's not too serious.

I read about this in the paper. It looks painful. I think she's been handed an indefinite ban.

Just a bad loser.

And to honour those who've died in conflicts since. It's just a shame that some couldn't keep quiet during the silence. I even noticed someone looking at their mobile, can't it wait?
-
Not the most enthralling of matches, but a win is a win. Sat in the Shed End Lower for the first time and yes it was a good atmosphere I thought. I wonder what Sir Alex's take was on the match? We are Top of the League Say We Are Top of the League. :blue scalf:

What a fucking idiot. Who'd have parents like this, first his mum now his dad.
-
I think there will be a minute's silence before Kickoff. We have to win today, there is no option to lose. We are on form. I would just love to see Ferguson's face and hear his excuses as to why his team has lost, that's if he can be bothered to stick around afterwards. Come on the Mighty Chels :blue scalf:

I was only mentioning about what's happened at Newcastle. Are you saying that someone else has posted about what happened there already? Samsumg Stadium sounds hideous. What happens when Samsung are no longer our sponsers?

I read this in the Metro earlier in the week - metro.co.uk about what's happening at Newcastle United and it made me laugh. Newcastle hit back as fans revolt over naming fiasco sportsdirect.com@ St James Park causes uproar Thursday, November 5, 2009 Newcastle fans are furious at the proposals Newcastle have defended their decision to rename St James' Park, claiming relegation from the Premier League has left them in a financial black hole and desperate for new investment. Toon fans are up in arms at underfire owner Mike Ashley's plan to rebrand the ground 'the sportsdirect@St James' Park stadium' to showcase naming rights to potential sponsors. 'The idea of turning the history of St James' Park into something that resembles an e-mail address absolutely beggars belief,' said Mark Jensen, editor of United fanzine The Mag. However, Newcastle managing director Derek Llambias explained: 'Basically, from £100million revenue, we have dropped to £50m. A good chunk of that is TV money from the Premier League, so from the Premier League, it's £40m. 'We get a parachute payment of £12.5m and then in the Championship itself, you get £2.4m of income. 'There's a massive void there that needs to be covered. You get a drop in your season tickets, you get a drop in your attendance, retail, it all drops. 'That shortfall needs to be made up. Mike [Ashley] is picking the shortfall up now and it's very, very difficult. But we are getting through it.' On the issue of stadium naming rights, Llambias added: 'With the renaming, whatever brand it was, it was always going to be "whatever brand it was St James' Park". 'So I can clear it up, for the remainder of this season, we already have sportsdirect.com on the Gallowgate, so we would like to take that branding through the rest of the stadium and on the outside where you see St James' now, we would like to have sportsdirect.com@St James' so it can showcase it to whoever is out there who wishes to buy the package.' Asked if the name 'St James' Park' would always remain amid an angry response from fans, Llambias replied: 'Absolutely. In our reign, absolutely. 'It's adding to it, and if it brings in a good chunk of money to the club, that goes straight to the team, then do you know what, it's a revenue we should look at.'

Thanks Kez, i'm back now and I did have fun and sad it's come to an end. I don't know where the time went, it just seemed to whiz by. It was good linking up with the YorkBlues and they were really welcoming. What was funny was that the pub I intended to go to first which was were the York Blues meet on a monthly basis was showing both the Chelsea and Man U Games. I wasn't sure if i'd be welcome amongst a load of Man U Fans and s I went to this other pub which also was a Chelsea friendly pub and I met 3 of the members of the York Blues there. I've since discovered that I would have been OK in that first pub as the Man U Fans i'm told are really easy going and don't have the sort of rivalry you'd get elsewhere. Some of the stories the YorkBlues were telling me about when they were in London and being refused entry into pubs, it's just absolutely shocking. I think it's good to link up with Supporters groups in different parts of the country. I just felt at ease and could openly wear my Chelsea Shirt with pride.

Hi Guys, i'll shortly be going on holiday today, up to York until Saturday so I won't have Internet Access other than via my phone, so I may not be able to post as often. I'm hoping to drop in to the York Blues (supporter's club) tomorrow night to watch the Athletico Madrid match and i'll be heading up to the Bridge on Sunday for the Manure game. Another impressive display from the lads. I knew that they would pull something out of the bag and boy did they do that. I did find the first half a little frustrating and thought that we had opportunities to score prior to Lampard's penalty. I said to someone next to me that we wouldn't be disappointed in the second half. I thought Cech did some good saves and all credit to Lampard, Drogba and Deco for their goals. Thanks to Zat Night too for the own goal, nice one.

Exactly. Tbh, the way I see it is that every team that we play should be treated with caution. What happened at Wigan will be remembered for a long time to come.
-
I know you're right and looking at the last couple of away games, we definitely shouldn't have lost to Wigan. I think what happened at Aston Villa was sort of expected. We have won other games away (Sunderland, and Stoke). The team will be on a high and so will be motivated to do well on Saturday. It'll just mean that we'll all have to sing louder tomorrow
