Like exact year ago he played in U19 Schalke side against Chelsea at Cobham. Easy to say that he did nothing in that game. Our team was so much better than them. The quality of football Chelsea produced that day was amazing. Don't talk about fucking Leroy Sane. Jeremie Boga and Charly Musonda are better players and far better prospects, that thing I'm sure of. Schalke director wouldn't shut his mouth if he had any of them or Solanke, RLC, Dasilva. Hey look, it's even him that Ruben is taking the ball off to start his run. How sweet ! Edit. Ok, Leroy Sane is himself very good prospect but come on.
-
He is in contention to play tomorrow according to Jose. Gave him a headache ! But Pedro is too which means if Pedro plays and Oscar plays and Matic plays and Cesc plays (?) then there's no space for RLC if Pedro is fit.

Yeah but wasn't Ferreira a right-back ? Mourinho likes one of the full-back to be imposing figure : Ferreira, Gallas, Maicon, Chivu, Arbeloa, Ivanovic. Typically, there's one big full-back, I even think he sees it as some sort of an obligation in the team. That's why Ivanovic started last 60 games in the league.
-
Well, scouts probably have an instruction to look for big full-back, 6'0 tall and powerful, just as Jose likes. Finding another Maicon would be ideal.

http://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/uefarankings/country/ England is close to lose their spot in the Champions League. Will someone care though before it's too late ?
-
So lazy, slow, inaccurate. I get this, he can't defend but he's offensive play is poor. First touch ? The guy is next Ivanovic, has to be kicked out of the team. Bring Charlie Colkett on. Lol.

I remember when Mourinho was saying on Chelsea TV about Matic transfer that when he's home and IF he watches football in his spare time he watches a lot of Porto and Benfica. He said that he watched Matic several times without scouting intention when watching Benfica and he was very well aware of all his qualities - simply put, he scouted a player for himself (unheard of in today's times at top clubs) even unintentionally. So I think Jose is very well aware of Ruben Neves. I like him. He seems mature well beyond his years. I'm surprised he's just 18. Only watched highlights and U21 championship but anyone who can position himself while pass with outside foot is a player I like. Just good to be linked with several central midfielders.
-
Fitness-wise he looked amazing. Didn't checked stats but for me he made the most amount of sprints in the game, he was eager to run forward at every break. And he made his fitness at Chelsea pre-season. Even Moses, another who made pre-season with Chelsea, looked very energetic with West Ham shirt on. Just shows the problem in our boys is not in legs, certainly, but in their heads. THIS is the level of fitness they are at and what was aiming for, just needs to unlock this.
-
Baba can easily play on the right mind. I saw only highlights and read reports but he's two-footed full-back, even playing as right-back in his previous club. So they can phase Baba in not breaking JT-Azpi combo. It's all in Mourinho's gesture at the moment whether he wants to leave his comfort zone.
-
Tbf he looks great physically, running up and down the pitch at full speed. Mind that he had the exact same pre-season as the rest of the Chelsea squad so you can think there can't be physical problem with the boys after all.

What the fuck, weren't you the main person here that dismissed ALL THE THINGS being said here, all the wrong things that are visible in everything but (most) results, those ironic posts that everyone is spoiled here etc. and now you write, let's quote it here because it's funny, that "being out of the Champions League is not the end of the world", hmm, WE WERE CHAMPIONS, WE WERE WINNING, EVERYONE WHO HAS SOMETHING CRITICAL TO SAY IS SPOILED, everything was so, so fine in the second part of the season and now look, you suggest that the champions, with the same exact squad, which is not old btw, may be out of the champions league, I'm not the only one that sees big contradiction here ? Guess we weren't that fine last season after all, right ? (that's what you're saying indirectly) and all that ironic posts at that time, I can only say that you ridiculed yourself now, Barbara. And last thing, no one is happy to come here and say "I told you so" because frankly me and lionsden and I'm sure most of the other "critics" were seen how inevitable it all was. I'm not THAT surprised to be fair. Maybe because I'm used to this I mean I'm no more frustrated watching this than most of the games from second part of last season (but gosh, I miss those times when Chelsea at least won with nothing performance) We all support Chelsea through thick and thin and there's still enough time to turn this. As wise words say though "I know what Jose means to the club and I don't want him gone. But no one can help it he himself wants to be sacked. What in hell is he doing?"
-
If he will play THAT well he's United bound to be honest. They have a need and can offer better package.
-
Maybe. Maybe not. I see Kamil Grosicki was on the bench as well and didn't get on. He is full Polish International and was in fine form too few days ago. I think he will get the nod before 18 years old kid. If Boga won't play though I think there's a clause in his contract to recall him in January at least it seems so as Chelsea call him up in their U19 squad unless he returns.
-
Lol, brilliant ! Lots of funny stuff here and some quality posts, keep it going through tough times. Mou says that we're unlucky, wait what ? That thing just starred me in the face. Wasn't he the last person ever who would blame luck ? Over the years he said that he doesn't believe in luck in football just 'unpredictability' of the game which he wants diminish to minimum by preparing team the best way for everything. That's his managerial blueprint. Something is going wrong here when he is more emotional (talking about things like luck, picking underperforming 'his' champions) and less pragmatic.
-
Wouldn't surprise if this is true. Cesc has been playing since 16 and I read comments from Barca fans that he peaked at 23/24. Maybe it's true. Why we should assume that he will be playing beyond 30s ? Not get carried away now but I've seen enough to say that he's kinda luxury player. He has role to play, right, but he was another quick fix. When we couldn't break Sunderland's and Norwich's buses at the end of 13/14 season what we want to buy ? Someone to break those buses. What we can buy ? Cesc, he's available. Okey, let's buy Cesc. His presence solves certain problems but creates anothers. Mourinho now pick the least solid midfield he ever had. Cesc is no long term solution, just like Azpilicueta wasn't to left-sided worries.

Wow, watched Mourinho interview with BT Sports. He said that we created enough chances and that apparently Hazard missed 2 sitters (I don't remember something like this happening though). It fits well with what I wrote an hour ago that he doesn't see games in analytic way anymore. How he can say that we had any chances at all ? But you know, when we win playing ugly, but we win nonetheless, he praises players through the roof. BTW Guardiola is livid on the touchline when the players don't execute what he wants, regardless of the result. Maybe his assistants are so deep behind him that they confirm what he sees and Mourinho thinks, since he has confirmation from others, that he sees everything in correct way.
-
No, no, no. THE MOST important question is "Are we building something LONG-TERM" ? When we still patches things up with Mikel I'm not too sure. Maybe, or rather probably, we won't win with Klopp for the first 2 years but I'm fairly sure we will build platform for success. I'm not on Mourinho out brigade either at least not until the end of the season but you see something build here ? Pressing ? Youth ? Identity ? No. He's yet to build something I'm afraid. He get teams over the line 2 seasons in the row, once we were close to the title, second time we won, but 2 times we did famous retreat tactic when we had to change tactic and play pragmatic, unattractive football. Therefore it looks to me like Jose is still here on short-term work, when he wants to win something and move on. I'm wrong ? I wouldn't give up on him yet. Mourinho has to make decision(s). Remember when he benched Ashley Cole permanently after shocking displays, especially at Newcastle ? He moved Azpilicueta to the left and he has to do similar things this time with others. When we're at Azpilicueta, his switch to the left was just an emergency call, let's not kid ourself that he is the ultimate quality there.
-
Wasn't effective at no. 10 postion but real disaster was waiting when he was moved to midfield. Barry and McCarthy are too much challange now. I can't understand what Mourinho was thinking bringing Mikel off.
-
You know he yesterday started 60th league game in the row ? And has 79/81 starts under Mourinho, the 2 games missed through injury. I get used to his form, I think he should be playing in Turkish league now like Bosingwa (at least talking about RB position). But there's one thing that irritates me, WHAT A FUCKING CLOWN he is. He is as much as a leader as Mertesacker, very very fake. I can't believe when this clown is shouting and pointing at others ! He truly believes that he is master here and can teach anyone what they did wrong here in the situation (though he has backing from manager to think that). Complacency at it's finest. He won't come back to form, forget it. He doesn't have physical attributes to. Bye bye. Either move him permanently to CB as a cover or release.
-
Little warming thing is that they don't have a week to prepare so there'll be no shit talking about 'positive reaction' from the players and how they worked the best ever ! One thing I noticed, isn't that Mourinho went more emotional ? I mean, when he praises his team after Chelsea - Liverpool (1:0 in COC semi-final) through the roof even though, let's face it, performance-wise it was average, we conceded several chances to them and scored only from set-piece, but Mourinho was so full of praise of the team like we smashed and outplayed them. When we win against any semi-decent opponent for Mourinho, at least what he says, is that everything is all right. He doesn't analyse performances anymore ? WTF ? He truly bielieves that they are really that good (even though they're not) because they're champions ? Also he is super autocratic man, when he says that decision about team selection and tactics, it's not his decision but the whole team, assistans, analytics, well I don't believe it, it seems that it's 100% he makes decision and how dare anyone can have diffrent opinion ? His assistans seems scared of him. Don't believe there's much of discussion there. You need diffrent perspectives to see things but it seems assistans just follow the leader.
-
How he can say that every little mistake is going against us when since January we grinded results through the sheerest form of luck possible while playing shit. By the way when we concede a goal I don't see bad luck there just few glaring mistakes and above all of this total lack of pressing which results in multiple chances for opponents and good shooting positions. Can we expect good pressing after 2 years ? No ? We still patches things up with Mikel, forget we didn't get a result today, when you still have to revert to fucking quick fixes (again !) after 2 years you know you've build nothing.
-
The most dissapointing thing is that apparently he worked the hardest ever, players working the hardest ever, they came with conclusion from defeats. There's literally nothing new at all, even as primitive thing as corner kicks remain the same, some new patterns for corners is the minimum you can expect but there's nothing new.
-
Wait until we draw against Maccabi at home ...
-
You're on a wind up here but pretends to be objective, isn't that trolling ? I've reported this. By the way, if you're dead serious (don't think) then you can't simply dismiss the biggest strenghts of Aguero and Benzema and advantage they have over DC to say "but Costa is good all rounder as well". They're on diffrent planet in technical abilities. And DC isn't even better in the air despite being the biggest of them !
