  1. Haha, Mourinho said on Friday that they are not close to sign another goalkeeper and they're not trying to because they trust in what they have. This article above states that Amelia trained in Chelsea for a week. Lol. You can't say more straight lies than Mourinho regarding transfers
  2. http://soccer.nbcsports.com/2015/02/06/jose-mourinho-says-juan-cuadrado-not-a-panic-buy-will-need-time-to-settle/ Also Jose said that he followed him when he was at Inter. http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/english-football/2015/06/11/12606962/mourinho-i-have-high-hopes-for-cuadrado
  3. https://youtu.be/mUACLeIhRLc?t=1m5sf (from 1:05) Can anyone help me ? What's the name of this chant ? Thanks !
  4. And what those teams do to United, Arsenal, City and Liverpool ? Genuine question. Let's say West Brom, team that raises their level every time we play them, apparently. XXI century 2002-2011 11 encounters, 11 wins in the row for Chelsea. This is our bogey team ? When you play with zero intensity and aggression and you're too soft you will suffer, it's normal. That's why we lost 3, drew 1 and won 1 against them at their place since 2012. IMO all blame is on Chelsea if they can't beat such team. I don't believe in bogey teams, sorry. Newcastle is no exception.
  5. Even when he came on against Maccabi his passing was slick. In Walsall game he tried outside foot passess even with his left foot. So far it feels he has confidence in him and his passing is good. He didn't frustrate me with his passing in the last four games. The horrible mistimed passess are mising as we speak. He should definetely start from now. And not on right-wing but in the middle. The goal was brilliant. I love this club. Ramires of all people is giving us hope !
  6. Wish we had their midfield ! And would be nice having another option like going with attacking full-backs.
  7. Actually this very fixture is the most memorable one for me, probably because the emotions it brought. I can clearly remember all 4 recent visits to Newcastle, I remember all goals but also chances wasted, ruined counters, multiple match situations etc. The game in 11-12 season with 0:3 win, Chelsea's recent win there, wasn't as straightforward as scoreline suggests, I was very frustrated watching that game with all that chances wasted and leaving the game on the edge. Then 3 straight loses, all three avoidable. The recent one that ended unbeaten streak ... It's always tense over there ! But can't see anything but a win. I watched their 4 games so far, they're the worst team in the league, there's no "P" manager anymore either so I'm not worried. Yes, streak is awful there but we're on the roll, even Ramires plays actual football. We can actually fix our goal diffrence with this fixture I think.
  8. You have confirmed squad above your post. It would be huge surprise to me if there would be any change unless Jose doesn't want to stir things up again and play JT to cool down the press/tension. He hinted after Walsall that JT will be in the squad but not sure if that means first XI. Pedro is nailed on position he offers good work-rate while being way more efficent in attack comparing to Willian. It's really straight battle between Willian and Oscar but seeing what Oscar brought to the team after his comeback and how things start to work he won't be dropped.
  9. Though I think he's gaining some form now.
  10. http://www.tvarenasport.com/channel/2015-09-23 Arena Sport 3 and I see Walsall vs Chelsea listed at 21:00. It's Serbian Channel. Edit. I'm already watching a stream of this channel, lol. It seems that we may see Chelsea.
  11. It will. Match deffo won't be live anywhere. There will be cameras on the ground though and Chelsea TV is repeating the full match 4 times the day after. There's highlights show in the evening after all matches are played so you can watch them too. Plus radio listening, that's about your entire possible experience for this match-up.
  12. "Mr Wenger, he said I have to cope with my defeats. Well, tonight he has to cope with his defeat" "I did my job, he did his job and everything is now back to normal" "Smile !" From his post-match media stuff. Great !
  13. No, Suarez is a cunt like Diego but you're not as frustrated with him because he makes up with his footballing ability (that assist for Messi against Atletico ). Diego antics is frustrating but that frustration also matches his constant misplacing simple passes and "dribbling".
  14. I thought our approach was brilliant. Desire, motivation and commitment was there. We chased them down and wanted to destroy them. It was reminiscent of some of Real Madrid's approach. However quality has a lot to desire. We hardly created any chance. Diego Costa ruined every attack, our full-backs didn't contribute. Oscar and Fabregas couldn't pass between them in the final third. I just think the desire is there but I have huge, I mean huge, doubts about quality of our squad. You can make up against weaker opposition and that's sufficient but I don't think our players are good enough to beat big opponent by playing pure football. Not when our striker can't play actual football and our no.10 passes are severely misweighted. Credit for Jose, he prepared team brilliant, team selection was good, our second phase of pressing was great, the desire and commitment was on point plus nice post-matches interview and press-conference. If we win some big trophy with this squad I think we overachieve and winning two titles in the row with that squad would be masterpiece by our manager.
  15. By far the best defender in the club. One of the best defenders in the world when it comes to actual defending. Always on front foot, he intercepts every bit of misplaced pass, he is ready to start the attacks. He somehow doesn't belong to this team because he's one man army pressing machine. When he nails that right side spot we can have the best right-back in Europe. I think offensively he's decent enough to contribute.
  16. Suarez is a villian. He bites people, cries, moans. He broke Szczesny's finger on Wednesday when he kicked him in his hand when he was holding the ball. But he's such a brilliant player. I don't care about Diego Costa behaviour as much, it's frustrating and tiresome after a while, but his overall footballing skill is not sufficient. He was going for the record in amount of lost ball in final third, his passing is terrible. How we can construct any attack with him ? Yeah, we saw that last season when 37 years old Drogba has link up play much better and you can play something with him. With Diego you can't. Pin long ball over the top for him and let him use the space but it's not enough. He ruins EVERY bit of attack, it's much much much more frustrating than his antics. We won't be full time great team with him, we want to play possession based football with DC, it's not happening. We're hoping that his passing and hold up play is decent and doesn't turn terrible that day. It's the maximum we can hope of. As I said, he is another short term solution by the club just like Fabregas. They were available and cheap and could have immediate impact to team's concerns but that's it.
  17. Good game but you know it if Arsenal wanted it more to attack that right side he would got destroyed. I see this on Ivanovic's face that he suffers when he has to deal with any bit of balance and acceleration. No he's not back. He probably will be a starter here I just can't imagine how he can start every league game. Oh and his crossing is still terrible. Nonetheless good game but Azpilicueta is the defender we want.
  18. His game against Maccabi will soon turn to KdB vs Swindon type of myth. As I was saying months ago, standard required for young players is MUCH higher than that from established players. I think with Baba Rahman club try to copy Azpilicueta. He is similar player with huge desire to enforce turnovers, he was Bundesliga player with highest tackle and interception rate. The times he was caught out of position, especially that situation when they had the best chance to score, came exactly from not effective pressing. However club scouted him and decided to chase only him in the summer, there was left-back merry go round this summer and yet Chelsea were only linked with him from day one. They see big potential with him. If you want to apply pressing you stick with Baba and Azpilicueta. They're the future of this club unless we go season by season with short sight view and short term solutions so we don't need any if after January we're reverting to deep line and "protection" football.
  19. That's a good point, also you can clearly see that DC goes into ugly side in EVERY big game and I mean EVERY, he didn't let one such game pass by without incidents. It looks like when he is powerless to cut it against opponents that match him physically and technically (the last part is quite easy) he reverts to dirty stuff aka his natural habitat. It's good and funny when you see it once every few weeks at Atletico and Fernando Torres is your striker with zero commitment. But when you see stuff like that every 3 days you get tired pretty quickly. And oh gosh are we really gonna pretend that we're building a side around him for the best part of the next decade ?! Look, leaving behaviour theme aside, I think Diego Costa is good/great short term solution but again it's another short term. Just like with Fabregas. We needed reliable goalscorer/creative force and had ones who were relative cheap and available, the problem is the units we've got are having big weaknesses, yes they're still good but not good enough for years to come.
  20. Diego done his part - take him off ASAP ! I can't see how he breaks every attack with his passing then be pissed off. Our approach is fantastic if only we had better quality we would be trailing them !
  21. So Pedro is playing. You should listen your manager more carefully, I knew Pedro is available since Jose wanted to step back from giving his availability status. Because it's changes HUGELY how the team shapes up.
  22. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-city/11875149/Kevin-De-Bruyne-Jose-Mourinho-only-spoke-to-me-twice-at-Chelsea.html
  23. Well if Jose thinks exactly what he says there's no reason to not play him plenty of times. Two things he picked up are the things you can only improve by playing so if the intention is there from manager I expect no less than 1500 minutes this season. His issues are relative easy to work on within 12 months so next season he could be a starter. Simply not choose short term serviceability over long term brilliance, less Ramires and Mikel and more Ruben. Oh, and how often over the last 2 years Jose was craving that youngsters are not "mentally" ready. Ruben is reaching a point when he's mentally ready as manager says so he should be in contention for any game now.
  24. Came on in 82 minutes. 3 times received the ball. Game was already broken, Lille was masterminding time wasting. After watching this shit today, especially at the end, have a worst feeling ever that this loan will be disaster. What could go wrong when you move brilliant player but sorely lacking confidence in the last months for his first professional experience at the last day possible so no pre-season, no bedding-in, to a team that is stacked at attacking midfield department when on the bench sits good 27 years old Polish international ? I sometimes think Chelsea craft these disastrous things on purpose. I would bet good money that Rayo Vallecano loan, when he surely would see plenty of time on the pitch, fell through after Rayo didn't agree to pay his wages in full. Good thing is that he has (probably) recall option in his contract in January.
  25. Devil's advocat here but I really don't know if I wouldn't trust Ivanovic, Fabregas and Ramires in that game. We don't know if Pedro is available, I think he is since Jose didn't want to give definite answer like 2 days ago. Why shouldn't he when Pedro's availability CHANGE SO MUCH how the team shape, it's quite staggering. Assuming he's not though I think we should pack midfield up with Matic, Fabregas, RLC/Ramires and Oscar (playing as RW, sort of). At least we know we don't loose midfield battle in this shape. Though width should provide full-backs and I can't fully trust Baba yet. Yes, Ivanovic is in terrible form but Baba is not fully-match fit IMO. I like what I saw of him but he will leave gaps. But if we pack midfield up with 4 players they should be able to cover for him. That's perfectly reasonable ... if that was trained before. Was it ? Was not ?
