I didn't think it was possible to wank to football until today. Grazie, Don Antonio!

We need to defend higher imo. The second goal should come from that.

What I wanna see at the back next season: Romagnoli - Christensen - Luiz/Azpi/Zouma What I understood from Conte's demands for the profile of players for a 3 at the back formation was that Christensen shouldn't play as one of the wide CBs. Hes not really aggressive, but he is fantastic on the ball and I think he would be a great option playing the Bonucci rule. It's clear we need one more CB. Romagnoli seems perfect for the LCB spot to me; left-footed, ball player, aggressive, and very good. He really impressed me last season and continues to do so in the current one. Bring Kenedy as cover for Alonso. Bring in a b2b mid to challenge a spot with Matic(the real one). Azpi as backup to Moses is fine imo. I guess this would be asking too much here but Griezmann as the right forward in the front three would be absolutely perfect. Hes not an out and out striker, but he is also not a winger. Hazard -Diego - Grizzi would almost be too perfect. Too good.

I think both Alonso and Moses need rests. They both play in very demanding positions and we need them fresh for the weekend. Thing is, we have nobody else other than Alonso to play as the left wing-back. I wouldn't be surprised to see Antonio revert back to the 4-1-4-1 this game. Aina at left-back and azpi at right-back.
-
His technique on the ball is really, really good. He is very much key to our current system. Without him, it would be impossible to play using the 3-4-3. Makes me wonder why Kennedy was loaned so mindlessly. He would have been a great back up.

For today's game I'm predicting 3-0 to the scousers. Firmino and Klopp masterclass. Jose for me is just too old and weak tactically to beat Klopp
-
Marcos Alonso is a fucking player.
-
I think Lamps will become a great coach one day. Always seemed like a bright person and a man with charisma and leadership.
-
People forget that Italians start their career at the age of 33. Give me Bonucci for 60m any day of the week. He is world class.
-
Alongside players with actual brain cells.
-
Long behold he starts the next game and will be at fault for two goals before banging in a winner in the 90th minute. Then you'll get those who claim we should have never doubted Iva the 'Tank'. (Who dives... )
-
Cesc as a regista supported by 2 box to box mids is the best possible position for him. Playing him in a two man midfield is complete suicide.
-
Edit: Double post.

It's the different style of managers that is hurting us, much much more than the number. We don't have a football philosophy and that's the worst aspect about this club. Jumping from a Mourinho to an Ancelotti in matter of 2 years just shows this board lacks any sort of direction and is just looking for short term success.
-
You basically told us why most of these players are bad. They can do this but not that. Matic and Oscar however can't do fuck all. The difference in the technical quality of our team compared to other top or even some midtable clubs is absolutely staggering. The likes of Ivanovic, Matic and Oscar are not footballers. Real madrid have full backs with with better technique and that's just embarrasing for us.
-
My opinion about Cholo has changed a lot in the past year. His Atleti team play with grit when defending and class while going forward not to merntion the incredible amount of work that goes into their organized pressing system. They hardly allow a shot on goal. And I can't be arsed about Filipe Luis anymore, brick wall at the back and excellent going forward. Best LB in the world.
-
I wouldn't even be mad if he decided to hand in a transfer request after that game. He deserves more than the shower of shite he is playing with. Giving a fuck wouldn't mean anything if it was for lack of quality. Same goes for vice-versa as well. Diego has both, and we're very lucky to have him. Imo he is our best player.
-
Championship worthy player who has been starting for us for 5 years. Let that sink in.
-
I don't care if he is a good or bad manager. If I were him, I would simply walk out of the club. The board came into the season knowing we needed a major overhaul and ended up signing two starting quality players. What's more funny is people going for the classic 'there are no leaders' excuse. We're shit with and without Terry, simple as. Can someone genuinely say we're anything but Palace with money? We play like a small club every decent opposition. It's quite embarrassing at this point tbh.
-
We're just a shit footballing side who can't string three passes together under the slightest bit of pressure. Pure and simple. Matic, Cahill and Ivanovic ARE good enough for Chelsea. We're just not as good as we think we are. We deserve to be where we are right now for the ambition we showed in the transfer market after finishing fucking tenth.

Come on Antonio, time to show some serious balls and drop that lanky Serbian RB once and for all. I can't believe it has taken this long. He was out of his depth in 2013/14 and yet somehow has still started every league game for us this season.
-
Speaks highly of the technical ability of some of our midfielders when a young boy like Chalobah makes his debut and it feels like a breath of fresh air with how much more comfortable he is on the ball compared to the likes of Matic and Oscar.
-
His passing is good because he has time and space to pass the ball as a CB. Playing him in midfield would actually limit his passing ability. In midfield he would have much less time on the ball and he like pretty much even the best ball playing center backs doesn't have the quick brain to shine in that position. Out in the back, he can use his passing range and ability to drive the ball forward much more effectively.
