I had hoped we would never see Ramires on the right wing again, but we have to witness it yet another away game in the CL. Feel pretty underwhelmed at the moment, we are Champions of Europe and leading in the EPL - but we play a defensive line up against the Ukrainian Champions.
It's funny this was his first goal from a free kick. Apparently at the start of the season some journalist asked him if he feels there is anything else he needs to work on in his game and he mentioned his free kicks. His coach said he has been working in training on taking free kicks quite a lot. Dedicated to Perfection - Radamel Falcao
Happy for him to get his first goal in the League after less than an hour on the field, with this midfield he won't need much time for chances to appear before him - just needs to start a few games to try to prove himself.
Once again good outside the box, but he is the poorest striker I've seen play for us in ages inside the box. His movement inside the box or better said lack of movement inside the box is extremely disappointing he stands in one spot expecting the ball to hit him in the foot or something. He won't get easy goals like Sturridge's if he is not moving and trying to beat players inside the box and he is awful when he needs to think about how to strike a ball at the goal. Still boggles my mind how we decided that he should be automatic first choice at CFC.
Torres has played well in the last 5 minutes, before that we were a man down up top no one moving inside the box unless Mata and Hazard get in there. Most of the time Torres was standing in one spot without moving while our players were getting ready to cross and pass in there.
No offense but he was shite as a striker today, stays in one spot while we cross the ball, barely in the box, moves to the wings, lacking movement And lets not even mention another fucking golden chance wasted.
Spurs (A) Shakhtar (A) Man United (H) Man United (H) Swansea (A) Shakhtar (H) Liverpool (H) WBA (A) Juventus (A) Man City (H) Our next 10 fixtures, I can see Sturridge starting 2-3 matches at most possibly Carling Cup game against United and either Swansea or WBA. Even that much is in doubt to a certain extend, either way I can't see him starting two matches in a row.
Well it's difficult to become #1 if you are not given a chance in your natural position, I'd understand if we had given him 3-4 matches in a row leading the attack and he failed but since he was signed he has probably played less than 5 games up top in the Carling Cup or some other useless fixture. I doubt any player expects to be #1 without proving themselves and obviously after his loan at Bolton he expected to be played up top for us something which never materialized.
I'm sure if he talked like that about his National Team he would not be called up again. If he said that at his National Team they don't use him correctly; there are far too many old players who play slowly and don't utilize him correct; he is mainly on the bench when he should be playing(even though the team has just won a major trophy); saying his Team Mates in the National Team don't care about the result when they ain't playing and he feels the same way. You ain't no mind reader Fernando and even if you are it's best you keep such opinions to yourself - and if Kalou had said such a thing he would have been crucified and booed by our fans. He needs to keep his big mouth shut and do his talking on the field this is disruptive to our squad. Imagine Lampard thinking that Torres said that about him right now, would he really want to play too much with a player who has such opinions of his teammates.
