1. I don't think its about the image in front of the fans, after all the player himself has come out and made his intentions clear. Madrid can't be held responsible for this by the fans. What the fans would not be pleased with is that the player is making statements due to the fact the Real's actions have led the player to this situation. By keeping a player who they have upset they r just hoping he get over it in time. They don't really care for him. They need him this season and will let him go eventually when there actual desire of ronaldo is complete. Robinho knows this, so he's right to be angry. He won't get out of this one.....sadly. But I hope.....
2. I don't think Kalou is a player who understands the word "pass". When he gets the ball he just wants to run into the goal with it. His sense of awareness is quite low. sadly we don't have many options when joe cole comes off.
3. calderon seems to be an arrogant and egoistic man. He seems to be making this business of getting players and selling them something of a war between clubs. I haven't seen this kind of behavior with any other directors, especially with the player so willing to leave. When arjen robben wanted to leave last year Chelsea were so professional about it, that too to real!!...Didn't make any stupid demands and went ahead with what the player wished for. This is so not the way real should repay Chelsea.
4.
Cheslea to move for Kaka as Robinho bid falters?
By Soccernet Updated: August 20, 2008, 11:07 AM UK Chelsea could be set to focus all their attentions on trying to land AC Milan star Kaka after Real Madrid emphatically slammed the door on the Stamford Bridge club's attempts to secure the services of Robinho. The Blues have been courting 24-year-old Robinho since July when Chelsea appointed Luiz Felipe Scolari, but are now expected to accept defeat in their bid after the player's agent revealed that Real are refusing to discuss the possibility of a move. Wagner Ribeiro told the Daily Star newspaper that representatives of the Real hierarchy failed to show for a planned meeting to discuss Robinho's desire to move to the Premier League and Chelsea leaving the deal dead in the water. 'The dream of Chelsea is broken because Real Madrid will not even negotiate. It is impossible to advance any conversation,' said Riberio. 'Next summer we will sort out the situation if people can show some sense.' Robinho, who is under contract at the Bernabeu until 2010, is reported to be disappointed with Real's stonewall tactics as he had been excited about the possibility of a move the Premier League and the chance to work with fellow Brazilian Scolari. Talks between Real and Chelsea are understood to have taken place earlier in the summer, but neither side could agree on a transfer fee. Real are believed to have rejected a bid in excess of £20million. The possibility of luring 26-year-old Kaka from the San Siro now becomes a distinct possibility for Chelsea, the only stumbling block could be the Serie A club's £70million valuation of the playmaker. Just as with Robinho, the possibility of linking-up with former Brazil coach Scolari could prove appealing to Kaka who has played 162 games for Milan scoring 54 goals for the club since his arrival in 2003. The expense of acquiring Kaka which would almost certainly eclipse the current world transfer record of £46million set when Real Madrid bought Zinedine Zidane from Juventus in 2001. However, Chelsea's billionaire owner Roman Abramovich could afford the deal and the club may view the signing as a marketing coup as they seek to establish the club as one of world football's most important brands.
5. From 4thegame.com 19August Reports suggest that AC Milan will let Chelsea target Kaka leave, but only if the Blues pay £70million for his services. The Stamford Bridge side have been linked to the Brazilian throughout the summer, but Milan have always said they want to keep him. Now, however, it appears the Italians may sell him for the right price. But a move to London is no certainty. Chelsea coach Luiz Felipe Scolari is thought to be more interested in prizing Robinho away from Real Madrid. And with his price tag being £35million, a move for the Madrid star is more realistic.
