  1. Hopefully this is true as would mean the end for Mudryk. Not a top level player in there at all. Just raw athleticism and nothing else. How it has taken almost 1.5 seasons for anyone to see it is beyond me. Best part of £90 million package and a 8.5 year deal, should be an inquest and certainly questions directed at Lawrence & Winstanley to start with.
  2. £111m for someone who will be here for 7 years. Incredibly risky. If he flops/isn’t the player we think he is, then we are left with another longer than typically usual contract. Why are we not offering these guys 4 or 5 year deals then not renegotiating further down the line like every other club does? I mean has Boehly learned anything? Has the two idiots running the footballing side of things Lawrence Stewart & Paul Winstanley not analysed the moves and strategy we’re employing? We have guys like Caicedo, Enzo, Mudryk, Madueke, Badiashile & Fofana who are on these long deals and haven’t done enough irrespective of price tags - which ok still time for them to come good and 1 of 2 will for sure, yes - but we may most likely struggle to shift the guys who don’t cut it for a decent price due to this either. Arsenal & Man Utd aren’t going to buy all our offcasts/expensive players nobody else wants forever particularly when you see some of them. Gusto and Palmer have been the only one who’ve actually been consistent and looked good on a regular basis out of all the lads on these long deals. Imagine giving someone a 7 year deal and being stuck with them being pretty poor for 3-4 seasons of it because nobody wants to pay more than £30 or 40m for a Mudryk or a Fofana or a Madueke or whoever - thats the reality with some of these 😂 I just get the feeling that the owners and footballing directors aren’t learning anything. Personally the footballing directors need to go and be replaced with a competent person/persons if their hiring duos.
  3. A lot of peoples numbers look average when you take away penalties though, Toneys might do yes but even Cole Palmer who is our leading scorer loses like what 4 or 5 goals if we do that. Penalties and set plays are part and parcel of the game. Especially with VAR.
  4. Wouldn’t be so sure. If they were to put things in place to secure Alonso yes maybe but if they can’t get him, then what? They are being linked with Zidane and OGS to replace Tuchel if they don’t get Xabi Alonso 😂 Some other names being touted about include Mourinho, Klopp and Hansi Flick too but I doubt any of those will be their top choices for different reasons (well Klopp would be but think the Dortmund connection would mean he would say no even after a year out).
  5. Still never a £72m signing so definitely not as if we missed out on a bargain by any stretch of the imagination. Jackson cost £35m and whilst has been so frustratingly inconsistent has also got 7 PL goals and could have had a lot lot more. Now if Jackson cost £72m and Hojlund £35m then I could see why people would be bothered. All the talk of Braithwaite from a few pages ago, yes he is an impressive young CB but don’t think we need another young CB. I mean particularly when we have Colwill and Badiashile, both young left footed players still. Silva will be gone in the summer and I would think Wesley Fofana will be in a difficult position if he isn’t fit and healthy enough. Although he was never worth the money either way and has never particularly looked great playing in a flat back 4 either as he used to play in a back 3 with Leicester.
  6. Disasi having an absolute beast. Best performance in a Chelsea shirt by a mile, same with Jackson barring the sitter.
  7. Ben Jacobs is basically still also saying that we still need to sell to avoid being hammered by PSR though. So he is effectively contradicting himself claiming we can spend £200m without sales because if we can, then why do we have to worry about PSR? It makes almost 0 sense. The likes of him and Si Phillips clearly have no idea but theres nothing new there.
  8. It isn’t results orientated at all though. Nothing to do with that at all Its the fact that they have been taken over and geared up towards being a club that will only benefit another club, us. Their fanbase didn’t think that Boehly & co taking over was in the best interests of their club. Their January transfer windows provided outrage. The sale of their most experienced player followed by the loan signing of Santos who didn’t break into a poor Nottingham Forest team, where the belief is that he will play most weeks irrespective of how good he is ot isn’t because he has come from us.
  9. How can we spend £200m if we apparently need to raise £100m before the end of June or July to comply with the profit & sustainability rules? What a clusterfuck
  10. So lucky. Been awful all game, lucky enough Conor doing the business. Travesty if we sell him at all.
  11. If people think this is bad just wait for City to pump us 5-0 on Saturday.
  12. The supposed saviour for our MF yet injured 90% of the games of his Chelsea career so far. Wtf is going on
  13. Guessing he hasn’t learned anything after hiring Graham Potter after a one off season then.
  14. Term world class thrown about far too often. Particularly considering it is like the 3rd good game of the season for Enzo. He really needs to do it every week in that position. Thats the challenge. Has the skillset to grab a hold of the game by the scruff of the neck. But hasn’t done it enough this season.
  15. Yes all good tonight great freekick but needs to build on this and kick on in a big big way. Been anonymous way too many times this season, like many, but particularly him and Moises. Step it up lads. The celebration for me is one of them things its like what does it mean? does it mean anything? Fuck knows. Only ever seen Messi celebrate like that in an El Classico so don’t know.
  16. You keep banging on about Maatsen as if hes some sort of top LB. Hes not. We have bigger problems than Chilwell/Cucurella at LB. Much bigger.
  17. Tbf Enzo being overweight would explain why he moves like a one legged dog on tranquillisers.
  18. Do you hear yourself as if one LB would sort all of our problems 🤣 we are fucked
  19. If he doesn’t play there then question marks have to be asked. I mean 2 bad loans in a row is never good. Let’s see what happens though. Isn’t ready for Chelsea and never got a look in at NFFC, fingers crossed this one is more productive.
  20. Eh 🤣 The fucks that meant to mean? The title is decided over 38 games not just 2 games v each of “the big 6” which in the previous seasons we haven’t even been in when you look at league positions. Liverpool definitely been the best team this season so far, by a mile.
  21. Awful. Paid £100m too much. Anyone defending him needs to stop watching football. There are no excuses to be so sloppy as a professional midfielder in possession. Under pressure, under no pressure. How many braindead fouls does he concede also? 100% biggest flop of the season not just in the PL but probably the whole of Europe.
  22. Yeah if we sack Poch to hire Hansi Flick or Jose, I am done with this ownership. Well I will be honest, I have been thinking that way since they sacked Tuchel in all reality and even before the failure to keep essential personnel like Marina and Petr about from the old regime until they could smooth the transition and appoint their own people it was absolutely crazy. Regardless, Poch has to go but can’t see it before the summer and in all fairness he still has that cup final he can maybe wins. Who do we go to next though? I mean which top manager is looking at this job and thinking yeah I want a piece of that? We don’t have the pulling power or historical success we had under the previous ownership so don’t get too excited. We aren’t sacking Poch and getting Klopp. Or Pep. Or Tuchel. Or any of these up and coming managers like Xabi Alonso. The owners are to blame for everything. Absolutely everything. Not one decision they have made has had a positive effect. They have been making awful decisions and gambling since coming in. Players are an absolute embarrassment too, people said lads downed tools last season but we have got a squad of gutless nobodies who clearly don’t have what it takes at this level. They’ve barely picked up from what we seen last season at times, if at all, quality wise the level is so bad too. No excuses either they’ve had a pre-season, its a new group with a lot of younger players… you’d expect more energy, a bit of youthful exuberance or a buzz but there is absolutely nothing. And then ability wise, nothing. Clearly. Lets just say 80% of the £1 billion we have spent has been wasted and people need to answer for it. Those 2 nuggets in charge of footballing operations- & I’ve been saying it for months and months - aren’t up to it and will be a cancer to any chance this club has of making any progress. Well, if there is any chance. Seriously wont be going to the Bridge anytime soon. Enough is enough.
  23. He wanted a 3 year deal - which I believe would have been on reduced terms to meet the new direction of the club - but we wouldn’t offer it so he was quite right to take another offer. The club pretty much gave up after one offer as 3 years was some sort of issue for them. Yet they have given utter shite unproven players 7 & 8 year deals. There is no consistency. Yes people will say his injuries but he has played virtually every minute in Saudi and we have had more injuries than fuck knows what since Boehly appointed whoever as medical staff. Also, let’s not pretend people (particularly people on here one who has been banging on about selling Kante for about 5 years 🤣) wanted him to leave also. Some of us seen this coming. Losing Jorginho, Kovacic and Kante in the space of 2 windows and replacing them with 2 guys with like 200 games at a decent level between them and a few kids who may be good was suicide. But all three of them “weren’t good enough for Chelsea” which is odd because even at their worst they were all much better than what we are seeing now from the 2 we got for quarter of a billion pounds.
  24. The club might. We need to generate funds by the sounds of it to not breach FPP or whatever it is. Thats without talking about making any more signings in the summer also. Its a real mess we could potentially end up in.
  25. Should be titled “8 Chelsea starlets who could be sold in 2024”
