Always good to see players showing that they care alot for the club. Legends!!

As far as I know the deals were not done on paper with Berzowsky and hence there is no proof that Berzowsky was his partner.

I heard JT is the president of CPO and Wise, Desailly, JFH, Clarke and the likes are vice president. Can you confirm?
-
Sure they do and that is why they are requesting the land from the CPO. They want the land so that they can build a residential or commercial complex and sell it. That helps fund the new stadium. Arsenal did the same with the land at Highbury and they broke even in no time and now are generating profit. The arsenal stadium cost 380m from scratch We aren't building a 90k seater like Wembley. Yes, if the club doesn't get the freehold of the land then there is a possibility that the prices may sore. But if Roman can get the lbs to fund the new stadium I am sure the prices won't go up. lesson has to be learnt from Arsenal

I would prefer to stay at the bridge but I am more concerned about the Clubs future 15 yrs down the line. You tell me how we can sustain with the Financial Fair Play rules coming up in few years. The rules states that your transfers should be funded by the money the club generates be it by sale of merchandise or gate receipts. The fans don't want the club to raise the prices of the ticket. The fans don't want the club to move. The fans don't want the club to sell the naming rights. How exactly do you think the club can be self sufficient and avoid the sanctions from FFP
-
The example I provided was for a game. Over a season we assume to have 30 home games. 42000 by 30 by 60$ each= 75.6m 60000 by 30 by 45$(I'm being generous) each = 81m Add the naming rights for 15m and that's 21 million more a season.
-
The thing that can be to our advantage is that the CPO can hold the club to ransom by demanding that the fans opinion should be taken into consideration whether it is the aethrtics and design or even ticketing prices. This can help avoid an Arsenal type disaster. Te reason ticket prices are higher now is because we have limited seats at The club and we need to increase revenue through the sale of tickets to meet the Financial Fair Play rules. New stadium with 60000 seats would mean decrease in the ticketing prices. Example: 42000 for 60$ each = 2.52m 60000 for 45$ each = 2.70m The revenue increases and the ticket prices go down. Fans are benefitted and the club is benefitted. Everyone goes home happy

The CPO need to look at the future of the club. Roman isn't gonna be with us forever. Hr has done alot for the club and is willing to do even more. 20 years on If Roman were to leave we should be in a position to financially sustain ourselves. New stadium means we can generate more revenue and also attract new owners if Roman was to quit. If CPO stays it means the club cannot recoup the money they would use to build the stadium. This is a new chapter in the club's history and we should all accept it and move on. If we don't we could face sanctions from financial fair play and even worse this could drive out Roman too which could spell a disaster for the club.
-
I know it's all about money and that is why you and I and millions others have started supporting the club. Without money Sky wouldn't have bothered broadcasting premier league across the globe and we wouldn't have had these fans on the forum.
-
In order to be financially secure the club needs a bigger stadium to generate more revenue. It is fair to say that the board have tried their best at looking at opportunities to expand the Bridge but that is not a feasible option for varios reasons. The last option is to move and that is what the club have decided. Just because Emirates has a shit atmosphere doesn't mean our new stadium will have a shut atmosphere. If anything, Emirates is a lesson we must learn from. High intimidating stands and seats close to the pitch should be be priority. Acoustics should be given more priority than the aesthetics

What has baffled me the most is that he is willing to play professional football without an insurance.

He can do a Ledley King and be our 4th choice.

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas
warnie_666 replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
The writer gives an example of Mourinho's relationship with media and how great it was and how the media loved him. And by giving the example of Arsene Wenger implies that Media relations are important to avoid sack. It didn't help Mourinho did it? -
What happens to osgood's ashes that were burried in the pitch? Are they going to move that as well? Or build commercial complex on them? I would feel insulted if I were a member if Osgood Family

Lets See At West Ham: ---He is Fat ---He is in team because of his Dad At Chelsea: ---He scores Deflected Goals ---He scores alot of penalties ---He has better players around him --- He is Old ----Stevie G is the best and deserves place ahead of Lampard (even if his last good performance came in 2008-09 season...Thats 3 seasons back.) ---- I wonder whats next.

You cant just replace the Nucleus of a Squad. Arsenal is an example. From being invincibles they are a bunch of headless chickens running around the field. It has to be changed but only gradually. Who becomes the nucleus of the squad? A Player who is heart and soul of the first team and the club and more over a fan's favourite. Terry, Lampard, Cech, Drogba. The future candidates could be, Cech, Josh, Luiz, Mata and Sturridge. But it will still take a couple of years or more to form that. Untill then, JT has to remain at the club and learn to sit on the bench.
-
Like buck said they will move to a new stadium only if CPO accepts the offer. That's the pre condition. And there is no way on earth CHelsea FC is going to be renamed as London FC. Chelsea FC is a global brand and will grow ten folds in the next decade. The board won't risk losig the brand from monetary perspective and also because this will piss the fans off. Moving to a new stadium and calling it London FC means starting a club from scratch with no soul.

As far as I know the only person I've had an argument with on this forum is TX.
-
As far as I remember I never had any argument with you. Where did the "once again" come from? I did read the thread later and saw that it was in good humor.

Terry won't be sold no matter what. He is too powerful and has a very good relationship with Roman. Yes he is a liability but he still is a good leader. A team without a leader is a team like headless chickens look at Arsenal and Man City. Terry is the one that keeps the group together and is the reason why he along with drogba and Lamps is called the teams nucleus. Regarding our attack, anelka is sure to leave next season and I hope we bring in Hazard to replace him. Kalou will be sold KDB if bought will go out on loan to genk or Atl Madrid. Drogba and Malouda are going to stay no doubt. Our attack for next year: Torres, Drogba, Lukaku, Sturridge, Mata, Malouda, Hazard,
-
Anelka is moving on next yr but Malouda has claimed he will stay. Drogba wants two years but board is offering him one year. Lampard will stay or another 3-4 years and will play selective games.
-
I won't call him a clumsy defender. Most of the games he plays well but he makes one mistake that ends up costly. Against Fulham he should have been off by then he was good in the next games. Again he tends to be over enthusiatic when it comes to winning the ball in the box. I wouldn't call him superb untill he consistently puts in a good performance. But what I do like about him is his ball playing skills

Act like a grown up FFS. Just because they act like retarded kids doesn't mean we must stoop down to their level and act the same. We got class and they don't. Maintain this difference in future
