???????????????????????????? 10 years? he's had... one truly world class year. anyway honest question: have you seen Chelsea matches this year? because I don't know how anyone who's consistently watched our matches can claim he's had a good season. he does have some goals but his overall play is just as terrible as it's been since he joined.

yeah I guess it's become so natural to just blame him for everything. He did play like shit after coming on and proved once again that he is pretty much useless, but in no way was that result his fault. Sometimes I feel that some people really think: "Torres is the cause of every single problem at our club and we will be challenging for everything once he's gone" ... I, like most people, cannot wait for the day he's gone from the club but our problems will persist until we really look deeper than just "Torres sucks? Let's just get Falcao"

Yeah I'm very pleased at Hazard's attitude. Going away to that shithole many "flair" players just don't turn up and give a fuck. Also someone mentioned in his player profile thread that despite being given more defensive duties by rafa he's not moaned about it, has done what he's told and is still performing well and that's a great point.

Luiz MOTM for me too. Brilliant performance by him. Sick of all the abuse he gets when IMO he is by far our best defender. Hope rafa stops playing him in midfield jfc Hazard was wonderful too. Lamps too some superb pick outs. His vision is still top notch Excellent team performance. We're more fluid in attack with Ba. Torres keeps coming deep and losing the ball whereas Ba is a constant presence against the centre-backs.

How did you find 1Q84? I read some reviews that said it was too long and dragged out.

Was planning on reading The Idiot by Dostoevsky as I mentioned earlier but after a couple of pages I realized I wasn't in the right... mood for it so have instead started 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami. Oh and I'm also reading Liar's Poker by Michael Lewis right now. About halfway through that. Ah okay. How are you finding it? I got mine when it came out and love it.

Well we need to sign another striker, because Ba is great but he can't play every game and this other striker that we have is absolutely useless and cannot be relied upon at all. About 10 mins before he was subbed off, Azpi (I think) whipped a cross in -- one of those dangerous between-the-CBs-and-goalkeeper types -- and the only player who was running into the box to try and basically score a tap in was Mata. And that just fucking sums Torres up doesn't it? If Ba was on the pitch then it would have been 1-1. A few minutes later I think it was Azpi again who crossed and he chose to cross it deeper to some other player and Torres was in his usual stance of 1) stop suddenly 2) stare at the team-mate who crossed/passed 3) hang arms slightly forward to show displeasure. You fucking tit there is a reason why they don't pass it to you: they don't fucking trust you. I can't imagine what must go through some of our other players heads when they're playing with him.

I finished Old Man's War by John Scalzi yesterday, and have started The Idiot by Dostoevsky. I'm pretty sure I've asked this before, but do any of you have Goodreads accounts? It's a pretty cool website! It lets you track all the books you've read, rate them etc. Plus you can save books that you want to read in a "to-read" shelf so that you can refer to it anytime and won't forget about them.

Feeling quite unwell right now so came home from uni. Have a class in the evening but will have to miss it unfortunately lol

Yeah, I read a few when I was young. The language is very simple, but I'm not sure if a 15 year old would like the stories? I read them when I was 7-10, so not sure about that! but if she's not been reading at all then definitely give it a go!

Thanks for that. Apple's products are too freaking expensive. I think even the Mini will be $400 or so (our currency) so I really don't want to shell out so much when I already have a iPod Touch for my music/movies etc I'm mainly looking to get a tablet for reading books and also for studying uses because it would be helpful if I could view my subject's past-year papers (which are in pdf format and each year's paper is over 100 pages because of the long answers so doesn't make sense for me to print them out and carry them around everywhere) to look through during revision time. I was under the impression that the HD version is not much different from the Kindle Fire... but since there's only a $50 difference if I do end up buying one I'll probably get the HD Yeh I was referring more to pirated movies and music

HELP! I'm thinking of getting the Kindle Fire since they've announced they're reducing prices to USD$159. Does anyone know whether it's possible to transfer... ahem not purchased videos/music from my computer onto the Kindle? I have tried searching on google but nothing comes up!

Finished Pride & Prejudice last week and am about to finish The Art of Fielding. Started reading Sense & Sensibility and once I'm done with TAoF I'll begin Crime & Punishment

Right, forgot about the international break. Ugh.

The biggest bummer for me is that we now have to wait an entire week before our next game. Ideally I would have liked to see us play again ins 3-4 days. Instead, we'll carry this for a while now. A game that quick would have forced Di Matteo to make some changes (Azpilicueta, Moses, Oscar in. Ivanovic, Ramires, Lampard out) whereas now I have my doubts on whether they will happen. My biggest concern going into this season, and still remains to be Di Matteo himself. His tactics yesterday were poor, substitutions horrendous. Willing to let it go as a one-off but I'm still unconvinced (simply because he hasnt had a chance to show it yet) whether he will be willing to make hard decisions if they prove to be necessary. Also I'm sick of seeing Ramires at RW jfc
