  1. That more than counts. Sounds like back home in Australia. I am not a fan of the drinking culture in the USA, it's all about shitty food and big TVs blaring sports. We drink the beer from the jug of course, it is just a way to transport it home.
  2. Sounds excellent. Something to works towards in the future. Does a growler shop culture exist in Belgium? You may call them something else other there. Anyway, two doors down from our condo is a growler shop. Every know and then we take a a large jug down there and the owner fills it up with a beer of our choice straight from the tap. It is excellent having tapped beer in the home.
  3. How much does a Delerium cost in your hometown? The brewery is down the street correct? In the states they cost about 9 euros for a 750ml bottle. If it happens, I will put on so much weight. Chocolate and beer, two of my most favourite things in the world.
  4. That is excellent, exactly what I wanted to hear. I might not want to leave the country! Oooh, I like Corsendonk. I actually had this limited edition 25 year anniversary Hughye beer a few weeks ago. It tasted...odd. It was almost a mixture of the Tremens and Rouge (it was very hoppy but sweet at the same time). I'm a big fan of Duvel also, it reminds me of classier VB; a shitty Australian beer. Belgian beer is so expensive here but it is a lovely treat when I do buy it.
  5. This pretty much how I feel, good post. I posted it before, but I like quick aggressive football like Fergie and Wenger employed back in the day of 4-4-2. I don't know if it is possible this season but hopefully in the future it will be.
  6. I see. Well, it won't be for a while. There will be a lot of planning and fund raising to do. I think the biggest issue is that I want to ride bicycles around but the mrs. doesn't know how. What is the public transport like? It is very easy to catch buses and trains to other cities?
  7. @Stingray, What is the best time of year to travel to Belgium? I'm trying to convince the waifu that Belgium should be our big overseas trip (should it ever happen).
  8. What a terrible sign. It doesn't even state when the society was established.
  9. lol get fucked. "Regular member" my fucking arse. You had the nerve to move yourself to the 'article writers' section, hence the white and gold name at the bottom of the forum index.
  10. I think so but I'm sure it can be mutually canceled?
  11. He is fantastic at West Ham right now. Everybody knows this. I'd like to reiterate that he was always terrible in most games for Chelsea and especially Liverpool. I don't want him back, he is a product of West Ham's and Bilic's approach.
  12. A terrible player and an even worse signing. He was one of the worst strikers in the league last year but his pedigree somehow keeps him in the spotlight. At least the nightmare will be over soon, thank god for loans.
  13. Awful, awful, awful player. I don't buy into the 'squad rotation' nonsense. He still an awful player, he is awful when he starts, he is awful when he subs in. A few golazos have pulled the wool over my eyes a few times but I always come back to the same conclusion. Ever since 2012 [during mind you, he was one of the clubs best players] I've seen him as an awful player. He has no sense of positioning, no technique and rash decision making. He can run, run, run, run and run. That isn't good enough for me, that is Championship criterion. Stereotypical English 'he can run a lot' player. Jack Colback, George Boyd and N'Zonzi run a lot, nobody seems to love them.
  14. Eh, he hasn't been bad but I was more hopeful.
  15. As long as it [his antics, poor tactics and strategies] doesn't continue into next season, I'm fine with him staying. One terrible season is excusable at a stretch but two back-to-back is not.
  16. Goalkeepers 1. Asmir Begovic 7/10 13. Thibaut Courtois 3/10 Defenders 2. Branislav Ivanovic 1/10 5. Kurt Zouma 4/10 6. Abdul Baba Rahman 3/10 24. Gary Cahill 7/10 26. John Terry 6/10 28. Cesar Azpilicueta 7/10 Midfielders 4. Cesc Fabregas 2/10 7. Ramires 2/10 8. Oscar 5/10 10. Eden Hazard 3/10 12. John Mikel Obi 4/10 16. Kenedy 5/10 17. Pedro 5/10 21. Nemanja Matic 2/10 22. Willian 7/10 36. Ruben Loftus-Cheek 4/10 Forwards 9. Radamel Falcao 1/10 18. Loic Remy 1/10 19. Diego Costa 2/10 For my ratings, 5 is the absolute minimum I expect from that particular player. That is their average, anything less is unacceptable. If a player isn't performing to a level I expect from them; they will receive harsh ratings. Oscar while being one of Chelsea's better players hasn't done anything that I don't expect from him, hence the 5.
  17. Would the club get first dibs on Ajax and Feyeenord stars?
  18. Next to players like Fabregas it is the opposite situation. Value for money at the time and for a while he was. Hopefully we can see that 09/10 Fabregas once more.
  19. Kafkaeqsue? Ah, you are referring to 'The Metamorphosis'. I can see how in a sense his acceleration into top speed can be juxtaposed to Gregor's transformation.
  20. Name: CMS Reason: Couldn't handle the banter. Punishment: Ability to create content removed permanently.
  21. It's a reflection on the modern game. Diving for fouls, penalties and cards. Harassing the officials. Sportsmenship is a thing of the past. What gets my goat is men like Steven Gerrard are praised as modern legends of the game but he is guilty of all the actions I've mentioned. Such a shame such talented players try to get the easy way out. Is there no satisfaction in beating a fair and square team at it's best?
  22. He looks like a stereotypical stoner from a 90s movie. Andy's Bogus Adventure.
