Yay Bayern. Neymar and Mbappe overrated as hell! Mbappe could have scored for the media hype he has gotten but proves to be meh. Don't blame him too much just hate that media hypes some players wayyyyy too much.

I don't know why we are going after Silva honestly he is 35 already. Get some young guy someone to find the long term project. I can understand getting him maybe to he can impart some of his experience but... Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk

When we have club like ours and fans like ours who just dismiss players and want to throw money for quick fix solutions which they don't realize won't work in long term. All clubs sacrificing long term for short term gains. It is sad to see that people don't take into account the time it took for Livrepool to come to this level. All they see is what players we can buy so we become like that which they don't realize is not how that would come to be.

So when you say scoreline could have been lot more if Bayern moved up a gear but you can't take it when some one else posts if posts. So I can only make two things out of this post either you want to play devils advocate or that you are just a hypocrite. Nobody is asking you to take pride in Arsenal or Bayern defeat but you have to realize the quality level. I am proud of the team we would have been in level terms had VAR not dismissed CHO goal. Could have changed the dynamic of the game. Not sure it would have changed the result that Bayern going through to QF but a draw or a slimmer margin of defeat would have been a consolation. Arsenal game we were unfortunate with injuries. And besides it is hard to satisfy everyone! I can point to people who didn't take pride in many of victories during our title wining season either so its all subjective. The problem with our fans is their only option to any bad result or string of them is to throw money and fix it(rather duck patch it). There is something called training and improvement. We spent a lot of money on him, the wise option would be to get him to the level we want him to. If he proves to be another Batshuayi then it is different(which I don't believe he is). We have other areas we need to fix too. It isn't wise just spend all our budget on another marquee goal keeper going by the headlines I read online. If our defense doesn't get a face lift or we can't fix/improve that then I don't think any big name goalkeeper would be able to stop the goals from going in. People in forum keep comparing to City/Liverpool right when you can laud them on their success and speak poorly about chelsea players and its manager then why is it suddenly irrelevant when you don't want it is otherwise? The point of the what if posts is to drive sense into people, that mistakes happen. And to encourage people to think more rationally than to just dismiss a player when he doesn't score a goal or does poorly infront of goal or misplaced pass..etc.

Chelsea fans need to take long hard look at the last few matches. Before they go on to criticize Lampard and the youngsters we got! Thats all I have to say. Imagine any of our youngsters missing a shot like that(what Sterling missed easy sitter) this whole forum will be on flames about how that player is so unfit and needs to packed off to some other B league team and how we would have required a world class transfer for that. Same thing for Kepa( not saying that he is still great but he is young and needs to learn) Edison was to blame for all of Lyon's goals. Not taking anything away from Lyon they played so well and am so happy City are out. Bayern thrashed Barca 8-2 compared to that we had a much decent score line. Especially considering a young manager and young team. Proud of our boys and our team and our manager. KTBFFH!!!! In Lamps and our youngsters I trust!

Really? Why? I think of worst I immediately think of Torres(who costed us record money), Falcao, Pato.
-
Here is why I support Lampard and want him to still be our long term manager: 1. He has been a blue through and through 2. He is a young manager (still has a lot to learn), will learn quickly and possibly learn/adapt new tactics. 3. With the young squad we had I think we still did fairly well, we had spouts of good football ( consistency is key but that I think will/should come with time and experience) 4. It takes time for the best of managers to settle in, understand the squad and players and iron out the quirks defensively, offensively, middle of the park. That being said, when it takes time for world best to iron things Lampard is far from it so it surely will take him time. 5. Be it circumstantial as it maybe, he gave the good players from our youth squad a chance and actually showed us they maybe be good first team players (Reece James, Billy, CHO, Tammy(I know people have mixed opinions about him), Tomori, Mount 6. I feel maybe if we have a manager who is young eager to win titles and knows english league as a player so well would come through in due course of time. 7. I maybe wrong but it seems like maybe maybe the club is getting Lampard the kind of players he wants (if this is the case I feel it is a very good thing) all the while we keep chasing players who would just most likely play good under any manager any tactics which is very wrong assumption IMO. We need to get players that would suite the manager's play or that would fit his tactics. 8. I am sick of seeing managers come and go out. I for one have been a long term advocate of having managerial consistency even at the cost of few poor seasons( just don't drop below top 4 ideally but realistically below 6). Also I want some of Ferguson like at Chelsea. 9. I like Lampard, I just want him to succeed badly. I feel this season he has been focusing more improving our attack which obviously given our players wouldn't rate too badly.
-
If we had more attacking spear maybe I would have fancied that without Pulisic I don't know where we are going to get that kind of an attack
-
WTF!!!!
-
This is the point where I should just close the video so that I don't ruin my Saturday!
-
We need a defensive and goalkeeper overhaul.
-
Embarrassing
-
Just when I thought maybe maybe we might get some face saving performance boom! I think at this point if I were Bayern I would just rest all my players there is no way this team can beat the high line that Bayern are playing.
-
LOL I had any doubts we might be able to pull something off it is all gone. So much for my dream!
-
I just hope that he is less injury prone next season. Wish him a speedy recovery and hope that this is last of his injuries for long time!(Just hate to have a great player's career be marred by injuries)
-
that is what we said when we got rid of the old guard and nothing improved! Here is the thing if we are going to go with the attitude of sacking manager for short term silverware we are never going to be able to build for the future(which is fine if short term success/silverware/monetary gains is what we are after). But we shouldn't kid ourselves that we are building the team for future. Because if you want to build a team for future you need to have a proper manager in that same future. Managers should buy players that they know would fit the bill and bring out the best for the way they want the squad to play. Unless we have stability in our manager I don't think there can be a meaning future team building process. That is just my 2 cents.
-
Our youth team is good but they boarded the media hype train early on inflated themselves with too much ego! They still miles to go
-
when has that ever happened? So VAR is still a fucking joke. They can punish opposition if the referee is wrong but they can't undo a wrong decision like this?
-
That always seems to be the case and has been disaster (with small amounts of ssilverware here and there at the cost of 0 consistency) We need to think about having managerial stability so that we get players that would help the manager and club be successful. Look at Liverpool they knew Klopp was right for the job and got players that he wanted gave him time to infuse his style and they have an amazing team. No marquee signings but look at them play!
-
Jorginho is not a player to play in the midfield when we are draw or losing. He can't take the attack forward. Every match Jorginho is there we don't have the fast paced attacking mentality. Hopefully Lampard can sort out things for next season because without this silverware, I am having my doubts if the board will go manager shopping now(we are into CL and have some signed good players)
-
Thats what the subs are for! but then our subs list is also laughable. CHO, Barkley, Tammy(hasn't been the guy he was at the start of season) they showed so much promise at the start once they realized they are on the media hype train switched off *facepalm*
-
seriously I don't see any kind of commitment from him at all? He is playing as though he has nothing to do with the club WTF?
