Sill believe in Conte. You know things aren't good when you dont get the manager players to play in the pre-season. We have been selling players without getting any new signing how deluded are we? Just because we managed to keep players fit last season doesn't mean that we will be able to do so again( also coupled with the fact that we had only PL to focus on) Does board not see that we are now in the CL and we need squad depth if we want to get anywhere near reaching even semi's of CL. I feel sad for Conte, he will be sacked for no fault of his. Our club is a joke, big joke. We couldn't handle the eva matter, now this season Costa. I can't believe why these kind of things happens to us. Few years back United were in a similar situation with Rooney and they handled the situation so very well. Difficult times but we need to still keep faith in our players, club and Conte. What pisses me off is that we had quality youngsters that our club sold. had we just retained them we wouldn't be this mess where we are finding it hard to get players. I dont know if the Costa situation is preventing or hindering our ability to get good players in.

Why are we sure that these are all Conte's signings, our board has always held the say in buying/selling players. I mean what kind of a club would sell a player to immediate rivals?

I know it was pre season but the way things are panning out it reminds me of the second season of the Mourinho return where bad media screwed our season with the Eva issue. But only this time it is Costa. Hopefully Conte has a proper plan going in with such a depleted squad. I am really nervous not that we lost pre season but that we lack depth to compete in all the competitions

2 things I worry about if he goes to United: 1. We are selling to United, now why would you do that?/ 2. Not having a replacement in place. Our squad looks depleted as is with more players leaving than joining and more competitions to play why would the club put us in this position. Unless this is like a way to kind of lure someone in by giving them hope that they would be vital for the club. But the way the transfer is happening it looks like some of the good players only want money and aren't quite keen on playing/achieving their potential.

Really hope we snag some sweet goals against them, no pressure on Morata but would be nice to see him get on the score sheet or there will be this irritating article from sky once again comparing Morata to Lukaku and how whether he would fit into PL having not scored any goal in pre-season. Sometimes sky articles get very irritating and click bait-ey

that is bound to be there. Morata seemed like a much better player technically according to what I read in these forums when United were in for him. It is funny how many people forget that grass is always greener on the other side. I am sure had Morata gone the other way and we gotten Lukaku people would be complaining about how Lukaku isn't all that technical whiners gone whine no matter what the situation is ... I can whine about how we should have gone for Belotti

Over priced yes, but I think if we doesn't gloat about how talented he is and just focus on his game then I think he would be good

at one point or another every one is some ones waste. Lukaku was our waste but he turned into quite the sought after player. I just hope Conte can bring the best in him that the price tag would start to look silly in few years.

none of the players this season are marked at their value price. Classic example of demand > supply. Every club is making the best use of the situation. But yes really hope that he comes good and proves his price tag.
