Defeat at Bridge will be brutal... given what has been happening lately with the kind of results we have had. Draw would ok but defeat I fear would end all hopes that Conte will continue to be our manager although it would be a bit of over reaction. I mean the club hasn't backed him at all in the transfer season how do you expect him to get results.

And this is where we will be proven wrong again, because we jinxed it by thinking otherwise.

The problem is, has and will be that our players are way more powerful than the club and manager which is why we see this pattern repeating itself. Look at what Pochettino has done with the spurs team I wouldn't have dreamed in a million years that they would beat Real Madrid even if it is only the group stage that is quite a statement IMO. I think he needs to perfect his 3-5-2 and should have adapted with changing needs. I thought he believed in hard work and making sure that everyone knew their role when they are on the pitch but that doesn't seem to be the case. I really hope that he stays and can over turn all this and board backs him with rebuilding project by giving him the players he wants/needs.

No big hopes for this one, Lukaku will probably score a hat trick and make for the disappointed united fans and we will be complaining about how Conte has to go as if that will solve the fundamental problem of this club. It is really saddening as a Chelsea fan that in the last decade that I have been as a fan though we have won a lot of accolades we still haven't progressed anywhere with our ambition of dominating the league or Europe. I know lot are happy to see us win PL once in every few years but the thing is we still don't play the kind of football that the fans like to see.

This is actually really concerning about our club no manager has able to keep the players motivated or play at peak level for more than a year. Why is that? Is there something wrong with the club? players? manager? I mean last season people were raving about how Conte is mastermind the best, we are in a slump now and the opinions seemed to have reversed. Why can't we go back to back seasons winning and not having to go through the pain of seeing the manager leave as a solution to all our problems?

How did MUsonda and ampadu play in this game. I know that Musonda had huge part in the first goal because it was his assist that Rudiger his goal but still I would like to know what you make of those 2 lads for those who actually saw the game.

I can feel for Conte here, he is in a critical position just like all the other managers we had. When the starting 11 doesn't perform we expect the managers to rotate with the younger squad, but we(board and fans) are not willing to take couple of successive defeats. I mean he/the team have lost 2 matches and drew one, no manager would risk getting fired and obviously go with the exp. players. Our board is still not ready for that I feel

We simply can't bleed talent unless we have a proper replacement in sight. We should be adding players to squad and not subtracting.

seriously that is what is even more scary at this point than our bad performances. I have been a Chelsea fan for almost a decade and from the time that I have been a fan/supporter the one thing that we keep wanting is a manager that build a project at chelsea and that doesn't seem to happen at all. from winning to losing to actually being happy with one point *sigh* it seems like a trend with us. We really can't keep up consistent performances from season to season. one season we have to be rock bottom and next season we will win something get complacent and then circle of manager firing will continue. But no one realizes that we need more bench strength.
