  1. Is the show really called 'The TalkChelsea Show'? Why not just call it 'TalkChelsea', since I assume it will be people talking about Chelsea, although I haven't kept up with the other thread much. Jim, sorry mate but the shape just reminds me too much of the Arsenal crest.
  2. Their midfield, Ramsey in particular, was awful on the ball. Looked like a gentle breeze would've outmuscled them.
  3. I know you're joking, but Malouda played well today, and Kalou, well...at least he tried.
  4. Cant put this one on Kalou/Malouda I'm afraid. Yes the service was lacking, but he did nothing to try to make something happen himself. His touch on the ball was awful, aside from the turn in the box (which in itself, was clumsy). Simply put, he didn't look up for it today.
  5. Would've taken a point before the game having seen both team sheets. Bertrand was excellent, thought Malouda was good first half as well. Torres was awful to be honest, Sturridge also.
  6. Today is going to be tough with that team.
  7. Great result for the young lads. I've been so impressed with this group of players this season. Just need to keep the focus for the return leg.
  8. Ashley was absolutely fantastic tonight. Best on the pitch for me. Possibly, but it's the way most european teams play. Drogs was just playing them at their own game.
  9. Just want to see the same passion, commitment and heart from everyone tonight that we saw against Napoli. Be proud of the shirt, boys.
  10. I don't think I can imagine us scoring without Mata on the pitch. He is our attacking outlet and without him we'd probably create nothing. Don't forget that in a free role, he often drops to Mikel's position and has a huge influence in the middle of the park. Saying that however, I remember watching the CL final last year and thinking Man Utd started well simply by bypassing their midfield with accurate long balls over the top. Sadly, accurate passing has never been a strong point of ours. Either way, I think Drogba's influence will be decisive.
  11. Drogba's goal was just sublime. I cannot stop watching it.
  12. It's part of his identity as a gk now. In every Fifa ad etc he's wearing it.
  13. In other words, that Frei looks like a decent prospect.
  14. No need to call out Torres, the lack of service was appalling. Out of our two wingers, one is a striker and one is a midfielder. Our '#10'? A central midfielder. What chance did he have? The midfield two and the wingers were the problem today. Too many misplaced passes and not enough fluidity in attack.
  15. Indeed. The game against Newcastle is going to be massive as well, although I think they also have to play City?
  16. Can somebody please tell Ramires that a right winger generally plays on the side of the pitch.
  17. Great to see JT back in the eleven, he'll be needed tonight.
  18. Edit: No Torres & Drogba. My enthusiasm dwindles somewhat. Haha.
  19. Torres & Drogba together. Looking forward to the game now.
  20. I'm expecting another laboured performance. Just hope that the players realise this is a great opportunity with Spurs losing today.
