  1. Ok guys seriously, he does not want the No.10 shirt, and he does not want £200k per week. Can we stop this, please?
  2. Possibly the most boring game of football i've ever seen, and I cant believe I'm saying that when Downing, Carrol and Henderson are on the pitch.
  3. Awful from Hangeland though, sold himself so easily. Good finish though.
  4. I wouldn't get your hopes up on that one, mate. Nice to dream though
  5. Mata is our no.10, Silva is City's, United do not have one (which is why they were also looking at Kagawa). The reasoning behind United being the bookie's favourites is clear enough.
  6. Interesting that he previous manager has said that the reason Lukaku wasn't getting much game time was because Chelsea were reconditioning his body. Apparently he was too muscular at Anderlecht. Saw a pic of him on twitter and he really has lost a lot of mass. Hopefully we should see him in action a lot more next season.
  7. Well we're currently in negotiations with Porto (no offer has been made). Although, 4 other EPL teams are interested, apparently.
  8. Please stop hypothesising his wages. He will not be paid £200k a week.
  9. Confirmed our offer has been accepted, United & City's offers have also. All down to Eden.
  10. Ok, so Kalou & Bos look to be leaving. Four players to be offered new deals.
  11. Gourlay called a press meeting for a 'confidential briefing' today, anyone have any idea what it was about? News should break tonight i'd imagine. If this is being discussed elsewhere, could someone please point me in the direction?
  12. I think this 200k per week talk is getting out of hand. He will certainly not get paid £200k per week at Chelsea, and i'd have serious doubts that he'd be on anything substantially over £100k. What's more likely is that his agent is demanding astronomical fees for negotiating with the clubs etc.
  13. Half of those aren't 'wingers'. My point was that the modern winger isn't what most want them to be, they will cut in and shoot rather than look for the overlap or take on a man. People complain about players, such as Kagawa, not being able to play on the wing because they don't believe they can beat a man, run it to the by line and cross, when the fact is that most wide players now days are equally adept at a no.10 role as well as out wide because of the style of football most teams play forces them to.
  14. How many proper wingers are there in the modern game any more? The number is certainly in decline.
  15. I'd imagine we would Hopefully we'll have someone (RDM) in place within the next 2 weeks, before Hazard makes his mind up.
  16. I suppose the fact that we don't have a manager yet might count against us.
  17. Dortmund play some stunning football, if he were to come here, hopefully he could bring some of that with him.
  18. It's in the downloads thread for the game mate. I've had it open on my computer since Sunday
  19. Very true. Personally I don't agree with clubs building statues of living players, let alone ones that are still playing (i'm looking at you Arsenal). He is a legend of the club, we don't need to name things after him for him to be recognised as one.
  20. A tough decision, i'm sure, but the correct one. As I said in another thread, it wouldn't be fitting for a character such as Drogba's to leave the club on a whimper, he needs to go out with a bang. As they say, 'Always leave them wanting more'. Thank you for everything, Didier.
