  1. Really looking forward to this one, though that goes without saying! The grace that the Liverpool supporters have shown since Torres' departure is about what I've come to expect from them really - they haven't even won a trophy in 5 years and they're still banging on about past honours and 'prestige' as if that excuses falling short of a players ambitions. Contemptuous, if it were not so highly amusing. I imagine Torres will start alongside Drogba, accompanied by Anelka who likes to drift into midfield and will provide support and link-up play to the forward two. Midfield will consist of Mikel, Lampard and Essien, though Ramires could get the nod ahead of him; personally I'd favour Ramires based on current form. The back four is easiest to pick, with Bosingwa at right back, and Ivanovich partnered with Terry in central defence. It's not likely that Luiz will start, but hopefully he'll make an appearance at some point. As for my prediction, I'm going to go with 4-0 to the Blues. Drogba to get a double, with Malouda and Torres finishing the scousers off.
  2. Morning/afternoon/evenin' all, thought I might as well get the introduction out the way! I'm a young, lifelong Chelsea supporter from North London originally, but relocated just up the M1 to Hertfordshire about 9 years ago. I belong to a largely Gooner supporting family with the rest either being Spurs (well someone has to support them) or Chelsea. Though outnumbered, the last few years have been good to be a blue: consistent title contenders, back-to-back champions, double winners, back-to-back FA cups, reaching our first ever Champions League final - it's a lot more than Arsenal can lay claim to, or Spurs, or Liverpool.... Speaking of Liverpool, I can't remember being been this geared up for a game in a while - what a cracking fixture, it's going to be mental if Torres scores! I won't be going unfortunately *sad face*, but for those of you who will be at the Bridge tomorrow, please give the Liverpool supporters (and Torres) the welcome they deserve. Cheers
