  1. Didn't know you can minimise forum categories, especially MH down to the ticketing section or can you enlighten me please on how or if i've done that? Not been on much recently as had too much on, however I am still experiencing the same problem. It's a pain in the arse tbh! Pages are definitely slower to load too, especially when I log on.
  2. I was stunned to see AVB' s team selection, it was so reminiscent of last season its was uncanny as we all know a midfield of Lampard, Ramires & Mikel just doesn't work, throw in Maloulda & you've got a recipe for disaster. We improved in the second half because of the changes but AVB was incredibly naive with his selection - Liverpool play the same way despite Dalglish's introduction & a change of some playing personnel, sit back, counter attack & hope to nick a result & they got it again because AVB went against his attacking instincts & picked the wrong players against a monotonous Liverpool team. That said, I hope AVB gets the time to build a 'new Chelsea' as this team has needed change since we last won the Prem, yes I think the board took too long in appointing Ancelotti's replacement but as I've said before the likes of Kalou, Maloulda, Mikel, Bosingwa etc should of gone then & not let 2 class players in Carvalho & Ballack leave. AVB is suffering because of those catastrophic decisions so I hope that the board give him the time to build his squad & then everybody can make a rational judgement. I hope January is the start of an evolution, I believe in AVB's philosophy in the way his teams play - despite our bad start! The positive in this is that there are only 12 games into the season so plenty of games to get closer to the leaders & assure a top 4 finish.
  3. Google? No longer use any other device for the internet & have used my phone 99.9% of the time whilst I've been a member of this forum so a little bemused as to why this has suddenly started happening?
  4. If you had half a brain cell then you would of understood my post, if you weren't such a comedian then I would explain! If Mikel is as good as you make him out to be then would he not perform against the likes of Man Utd too, no?
  5. I've sent you an email BL, just click on the link hopefully that will show you the problem I have with the homepage. Thanks.
  6. I suggest you take a look back at Mikel's cameo against Utd this season before you judge Romeu for a brief introduction - its never easy to come off the bench.
  7. For contribution LDN, Ultra Blue & Tomo. For informative posts, Strong Centreback for posts in the CPO debate (same goes to Fulham Broadway)
  8. I was more worried last season than this tbh, the wind of change has arrived & for me this can only be a positive step that the club will be taken forward - it may well take a season or 2 but I will remain upbeat whilst AVB is our manager & I would urge our fans to be patient whilst we go through this rebuilding stage. If you look at last season as an example when Ancelotti persisted in picking players that were not playing well, AVB drops Lampard & everybody has seen the reaction Frank has made since then. As someone that pays to watch us play I applaud AVB for trying to change our style - most of the dross I had to sit & endure last season was simply shocking for fans to watch let alone be charged for the displeasure. Another big difference is that we are creating chances something that we were not doing last season so little acorns.............. City at this moment in time look like Champions but things can change, even Utd look vulnerable. If you look a little deeper into our defeats then you will see that only the Arsenal loss was deserved & even then things could of swung our way. My prediction was top 2 & I still believe that is achievable despite the unfortunate hiccup recently.
  9. Problem 2! Whenever I log on now I cannot view the sections from Matthew Harding down to the ticket section on the home page. I can view announcement, feedback & support, football banter, general chat & the prediction league so basically the middle section has done a runner? Being that nobody else has reported this error it must just be me that's getting this problem so some help would be appreciated. This started yesterday? Cheers GZ.
  10. We had enough chances to win the game easily - enough said. * Cue the avalanche of negative posts! I'm off before I will get really depressed reading what's just about to get posted.
  11. HTC Desire - brilliant phone, going to get the Sensation or Titan next time I upgrade.
  12. Agree EW, if Cech had his eye on the ball yesterday instead of staring into space we would of won the game & all the negatives would not of surfaced! Fans tend to over react after a bad defeat which is understandable but if we look at our 3 defeats more closely then things are not as bad as they seem. We should of beaten Utd - no question, the ref was atrocious against QPR but the 9 men were fantastic & we deserved atleast a draw, yesterday at 3 - 3 we were pressing for the winner, Mata had a chance that if it was on his left foot we would be in the lead but Maloulda then gives Arsenal the 3 points. I still say not one of our players performed to anywhere near there ability Mata & Lampard I will give credit to, Meireles too but he should of started, AVB is a very intelligent guy & will no doubt mull over the many mistakes yesterday, including his own & begin to put it right. My point is if just some of our players would of turned up yesterday then we would of won that game comfortably, Arsenal are about as poor as I've known, RVP is keeping them above where they should be, which makes this defeat worse but this was by far our worst performance this season yet we still could of won the game. Lastly fans need to look at the bigger picture, AVB is slowly changing the way we play & for me the right way so there are going to be set backs along that path before we start getting things right on a consistent basis, defeats like yesterday will help AVB address some of the problems so in some ways a defeat can have a positive impact to our season, especially with it being only 10 games in. AVB has categorically stated that he will not change his philosophy in how we play & I am right behind on this, I'd rather see us win 4 - 3 in an entertaining game than watch us win 1 - 0 in a drab affair. It might be a challenging season but it can still be a successful one.
  13. Agree with this especially the last sentence, Cech was terrific against Everton but today was one of his worst performances for the club, that said our defence left him exposed far too easily. AVB will be in deep thought & will make necessary changes & nobody is safe imho. As I said before I was stunned that Meireles didn't start this game, strange one but we must get this week out of our system. People also have short memories, we went on the worst run of Roman's tenure last year which lasted nearly 3 months yet it still took Utd to almost the last game of the season to win it, bad week but these things happen.
  14. Yeah that's true, RVP is on one of those hot streaks that strikers go on at times but we really let played into his hands defensively. Utd got thumped last week & responded with a result today, that's what all good sides do & we will & must do the same next week, plenty of time to put things right so I'm not going to panic or get drawn into the negative mudslinging, it just uncalled for. Can understand peeps being annoyed about the performance & result but AVB needs time & patience.
  15. It has been 'one of those weeks' I'm afraid to say. I think our players are suffering from a hangover, not one of them turned up today. Cech must be really disappointment as i think he should of saved 3 of their goals didn't even looklike he was watching the ball? Thought Meireles should of started let alone come on late in the second half. Our players have to take a long look at this result & put things right for the rest of the season. The most disappointing thing about today is arsenal are not a good side, I knew there would be goals but I didnt expect us to be at the wrong end of a bad result, very poor performance by everyone of our players ensured that. It's not rocket science that AVB will have to work on our defensive deficiencies we've known that for weeks so I expect changes to be made pronto. Keep the faith people, this is a season of transition in more ways than one, we will bounce back so get behind our young manager - I still think we will be in the mix come May despite the last 2 games.

  17. Home draw please, don't give a toss who we get at home......as long as we keep 11 players on the pitch!
  18. I hope you're right regarding AVB but because he is speaking his mind & telling the truth about incompetent officials & its not the first time this season he has spoken out then don't be surprised if they make an example of him. I applauded Ancelotti for his dignified approach but unfortunately it doesn't work psychologically because you have other managers who year in/year out put pressure on refs & get favourable decisions ala Bacon face, so I'm 100% behind AVB in his rant at incompetent officials.
  19. Luiz would still give penalties/freekicks away if he was a DM so that problem will remain whether he plays there or at CB so the club need to address his impetuous nature before we start thinking of a new position for him. I stated before he could play as a DM because he is versatile so therefore can play in many positions but has that rare quality as a defender as he is so comfortable on the ball & has superb vision. That said I would prefer him to play at CB as we lack pace in that position, once he cuts those rash moments out of his game then we will have a world class player on our hands. The boy is top class & I would rather he makes these mistakes now whilst we are in a season of transition than next when expectation will be different & therefore pressure on his shoulders will come with it. Early showings of Romeu tell me he is wasted as a DM despite being excellent there, he looks to have the ability to play further up the pitch - CB no thanks!
  20. Regardless of our defence the FA will punish us & AVB will probably get a touchline ban for being honest........ I completely agreed with AVB with his post match comments as he nailed it by stating that if Foy is going to give soft decisions then those decisions have to be reciprocated. I view this charge in the same way as if they are going to punish us for some indiscipline then common sense should tell you that Foy should be charged for failing to officiate to Premier League standards? I won't hold my breathe as the FA are not known for their common sense but stand for 'fuck all'!!!
  21. Don't give up yet Seb, keep looking every day as there might be some tickets returned. They just done the same for the Arsenal game so you never know.
  22. I've just been on the website, our allocation for this game is just over 1100. With 21 loyalty points you can purchase a ticket at 12 tomorrow so fingers crossed there are still some available. They are currently still selling tickets, good luck fella.
  23. If you have a membership go on the CFC website & try & get a ticket, it will tell you whether you can purchase a ticket or not. If they are still selling them then my guess is the loyalty points will be lowered each day, so keep trying fella. All else fails, you can always try & get a ticket in the Genk end!!!
  24. Meireles was the best player on the park for me. Romeu's performance will give AVB a welcome selection headache for the future! Torres was sharp & really looked like he was enjoying himself - great news for all concerned with our club. Anelka showed why we will miss him next season, doesn't play in his preferred position yet still gives his all & unselfish at that - take note Maloulda you greedy git!
