  1. Those two things are the greatest myths in football history. The best football we played under Roman was in fact under Scolari, under Carlo our squad was so strong that we trashed teams without necessarily playing beautiful, we were excellent but not "beautiful as you want to describe it", we were just scoring way too much for everyone. Under Scolari we were playing "beautiful" football yeah. But the best football we've played in my opinion is the one which suits all kind of opposition, allows us to face anyone with the weapons we need, and this is wat we're doing atm. And no one's ever gonna convince me that Ancelloti said "no don't give the best striker in the world Roman, no thanks"
  2. I've seen a lot of Atletico Madrid games and he plays equally good on all 3 positions. In the Real 4-0 thrashing he was Right wing if i remember well.
  3. He is originally a winger, left-footed, and plays a lot in the right. Really versatile, can play on the three AM spots. With his left foot, skill and finishing, he'd be the best right winger for our team.
  4. We desperately need Griezmann. Azpi-Zouma-JT-Luis Matic-Cesc Griezmann-Hazard-Willian Guv'nor - Azpi is better offensively on his original wing - Willian is covering Iva atm but Luis is a better offensive asset than Bran, plus, we'll get the Shakhtar Willian back, he's been brilliant offensively on the left ( Arsenal away and stoke home ) - One more solution at central defence, Ivanovic, plus, Cahill atm covering Iva is a disaster at times, Azpi can deal with it himself, and on the weak side we'll have captain covering, which won't be a problem. - Hazard would be way unpredictable if he's playing in a 10 role and swapping positions with Griezmann who operates equally as a 10-9,5 or 7 player. - This would remove the Oscar dependance and give us more diversity with Luis and Azpi giving us width. - Griezmann can be as dangerous as Hazard on the right wing. - Further offensive solutions with Oscar Hazard Cuadrado Griezmann Willian and maybe Salah. - Bring back Bamford, we need a good striker as Didier can't do it anymore, and Patrick can play on the right too Sturridge style. - Give Loftus Cheek a role in the team, and maybe recruit a Fabregas bis. ( Who's ready to fight for his place rather than a big name ). This is just the best set up for our team, and with Mourinho recruiting someone like Griezmann on the right, we would progress in the direction you mentioned Kellzfresh, i sincerely hope José considers this, I can only think of positives from this set up, better balance and more offensive diversity.
  5. The season is starting on August 15 i guess.
  6. I doubt so, it has always been played on the weekend from 7 to 11 August, don't see them changing that this year.
  7. Well if that's sincere, should be the most brave post i've seen here, it's not always easy to stop arguing and concede that the other person is right ( even when things are as obvious ) in a debate you've been holding for months. Gotta give him credit if he means it.
  8. I know, just found it weir to count it as part of the Champions Cup, especially that there is a final to be played and we might as well be part of it, one additional game, to be played where ? And the CS has always been played from 7 to 11 August depending on the weekend dates, which will be 8 & 9 this Year, so the PL will probably start the weekend after ( 15-16 ).
  9. Yeah, so the 2004-2005, 2005-2006 and the late of 2014-2015 Chelsea have all been lucky, it's not intended nor controlled. The only game I accept to take as random and entirely dependent of the quality of Hazard rather than the whole team was QPR ( doesn't mean he was instrumental for us all year ), the rest is BS, good team deserved performances.
  10. Question, what's with the Stamford Bridge game being part of the Champions Cup too ?
  11. Actually Mourinho thrashed them in 2012 when he was at Real, won la Liga setting many records and beat them in Camp Nou en route to the title. Anyway we got your points, non-Chelsea fans around you are surrounding you with critics about your own team and you can't defend because you don't have the arguments, those are people you call neutral right ? And that's why you come here and slam Chelsea right ? Because they influence your opinion right ? Well you know what, get a life , get your own goddamn opinion and stop criticizing Chelsea and Mourinho based on the fact you CAN'T EVEN FUCKING DEFEND YOUR OWN TEAM AGAINST THE CRITICS. Because if you were a proper Chelsea fan, you'd know yourself that we don't actually fucking care about free-flowing football as long as we win, this is what championships and cups are created for, to be won, not for a team to deliver 5 and 6 goals margin wins with 70% possession, 90% pass accuracy, 10 shots on target, 15 corners, and lose the title with 2 months to go ( Hello arsenal 2008 ) or worse, two weeks ( Demba Ba day was yesterday). What you don't get, is had we continued to play the pseudo "free-flowing dynamic tripla quadruple magic passing football" you so crave during the second half of the season we would've probably lost a lot of points and the title.
  12. Now I'm pretty sure you're definitely not a Chelsea fan, only here to slam everything Chelsea related.
  13. And stop criticizing the guy who brought all this success over a decade ( maybe two now that he's building this team over again ) all day long, appreciate your title and stop moaning, appreciate him for all the good services he's done to this club in nearly 5 years now, not all clubs are lucky enough to have a manager who is both successful and a fan of the club. Ah and by the way, he responded to the critics because he cares, and protects his team and players, i prefer that to the overly diplomatic Carlo statements we had, or the I-have-no-idea-what-im-doing-here Scolari press conferences. The guy's serving, protecting your club, and transforming it into a European force two times now and you're still moaning. Go support Arsenal, for all we know, you're just some disguised gooner.
  14. And you should stop criticizing José just for the sake of it. He is right, posession isn't beautiful football, beautiful football is goals, which means trying to score and not letting the opponent score, simple as that. It's part of our identity now : Winning. I don't give a shit about free-flowing passing football, we showed we can destroy opponents at that game in the first half of the season, i enjoy a well executed game plan mostly about nullifying the opponent and counter attacking as much as any other style of football. If you want Barcelona style, go watch em today against Getafe, at Chelsea we play to score and win, simple as that.
  15. Especially that we played at least as good as those scums at their own stadium today.
  16. What I like the most about Mourinho is that he's intouchable, believes in his methods, will never surrender to the stereotype critics we are getting since February, and only cares about the best solution atm.
  17. The whole first half of the season was great in terms of the football we played. That's the biggest advantage we supporters of Chelsea should have : hybrid. We are willing to see our team dominate England and join the BRB as the top 4 clubs in the world, but we don't care if at times we need to concentrate more stoping the opponents if that's what wins us titles.
  18. Now what ? You're gonna seize the chance at every win they get without him ? Seriously ? You expect the to lose ALL their games without him ? This is just ridiculous, you take only one exemple of the 3 or 4 i mentioned, and respond when it suits you better. To lose 3-1 to Porto is weak enough to show you what they are without him, plus, genius, if you had done a little research, you would've known that both their usual full backs were suspended.
  19. Have the youth trophys been included in the parade before ?
  20. You sure haven't seen Messi playing lately, he is the guy who changes games for them ( well he's been doing it for years now, but he's doing almost on a weekly basis atm). The simple fact of him being on the field is enough to drain 2 or 3 defenders around him. Modric is the best midfielder at Real Madrid, Ramos is their best defender, when they were both injured ( March February ), Madrid had a really poor run, Luka is essential to their style, moving the ball and delivering the ball exactly where they need to at the right time. Ramos has the huge task to cover the space left behind Marcelo who is a huge Madrid weapon up front, he has saved them numerous times this season, apart from his concentration flows, his importance is way more than his mistakes at Madrid, and again, without him and Luka, they were poor, just like Bayern without Robbery, just like we would be without Hazard. and just like Barcelona would be without Messi.
  21. Guess it depends on who they consider top 4, if they count the year before ( 2013 ), then United last season would be on the top 4, and we only managed to get 1 draw and 1 win against them last season.
  22. Take Messi off Barcelona and watch the world burn. Just take a look at how Bayern have struggled without Robben and Ribéry, Real without Modric and Ramos, and how their fans are claiming they have no chance to win anything now that the Croatian has been sidelined again. I don't know what's more ironic, the fact people claim that United had enough chances to win the game, or that we scored on actually pressing them high in the midfield ( Terry recovering the ball in the centre ), and hit the post on pressing Herrera, through a Matic pass. The new Mourinho Chelsea isn't just parking the bus, it's a team ready to take the initiative when it has the weapons, but also happy to leave posession and press high up the pitch ( United, Spurs in COC ) to control the game and keep the oponnents at their own half when there isn't any urgency to take the risk. ( United had only 53% of territory advantage while having 70% possession, almost all of our 30% share of tha ball was in their own half ).
  23. Pure class Juanmi... Apart from that, should we reignite the Oscar-Mata debate now that the time suits the Brazilian better ?
