  1. How can people laugh at Costa's looks when at 22, this guy resembles someone from The Hills Have Eyes?
  2. Absolutely. This was Hazard at the next level. This boy will be unplayable if he reaches his ceiling.
  3. Maybe, but it's still a different psychological pressure. Diego Costa, though
  4. It's not fair to single him out too much. He hasn't been excellent but today he was a victim of our muddled thought processes and actions on the pitch. The team was set up to be progressive and forward thinking but the front 3 never pressed in the first half hour. With no pressure on the ball, Swansea (who are very good at this anyway) kept running rings around him and Fabregas. You can't hop on to their backs for not doing their jobs when their teammates did nothing to help them out. When we did step it up and closed down early and in numbers, he was back to looking comfortable.
  5. Hmm, I dunno. I thought we were a bit lucky Swansea didn't add to their lead because we were hanging on a bit at that point. Routledge had a good chance from JT's glanced clearance and Gomis also should've done better with the half volley/volley pretty central in front of goal. I was delighted at it being just 0-1 at the half hour mark.
  6. Off the ball he is one of the most intelligent players in the league but on it, his play leaves a lot to be desired.
  7. What was frustrating was he's still an unfair target and a scapegoat here whenever we're anything below top class. I read people calling for him to come off in the first half ... why? Everyone bar Hazard was bad in that first half, especially for the first 20 mins.
  8. People who wanted him to 'lead' more ... are you happy? He took responsibility and played a massive part in digging us out of the hole we found ourselves in 20 minutes down. I got the tingles whenever he ran with the ball today.
  9. Response of champions? I feared for us a little bit with the start we got off to. Swansea probably should've scored more than one in that initial period but we rode it out and never looked back once we started putting them under pressure, getting in their faces, pressing from the front. It was a mess before that with the team set up to be progressive but the front line not pressuring the ball at all, leaving Matic and Fabregas isolated and unsure in the middle. Credit to Swansea because they didn't let up and kept at it but it was really pleasing to see that they just couldn't handle our movement and interplay. They're a very, very good side. Hazard was magnificent and would've been my MOTM had it not been for the big bastard up front banging them in. When this boy looks to go past players and sit defenders down, I'd have no other player in the world over him. He is sensational. One of his top 5 Chelsea performances, in my book.
  10. Sitting back as soon as we get the lead. I hate this about Mourinho.
  11. Eden was excellent. Lots of direct running and looking to threaten the goal.
  12. Swansea are brilliant. I'm looking forward to HT already.
  13. Fucking amateurs Arsenal. Good header though.
  14. Like I said, I can understand the emotional aspect of it. But there were posts here talking about how he could make vital contributions in the title race that could swing it City's way ... safe to say any such lingering concerns should've been put to bed today. That'd be really overstating the impact he's capable of making at this stage in his career.
  15. What is this ridiculous revisionism re: Welbeck? I've heard Patrick Barclay saying £16m was a steal and he wouldn't have minded paying £36m for him. You'd think this is some Cruyff-Maradona lovechild, not someone who has a record of 1 goal per 5 games.
  16. Ramsey double and late Dzeko equaliser, please. Fantasy points.
  17. Watching him now just reinforced why I never understood the hue and cry over this move. I can understand it pricking on an emotional level but he's clearly well past it. He's NOT going to be the difference between us or City winning the title.
  18. I relish not having a panic attack every time Lamps is bypassed.
  19. Arsenal have a real chance. Fernandinho + Lamps can be porous as fuck.
