You can't expect me not to bristle about the Rocchi thing when you're falling all over yourself to dig out my posts as soon as Roma lose a game. That's why Juventus' disgraceful 'fair play' record finds mention in what I post. Totti may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I'm sure he'll console himself with the legacy he'll leave behind. And the knowledge that he earned it whenever he won something.

MOTM poll is fine. I'd like to see a lineup predictor competition on the lines of the prediction league for the cup games. That'd be fun.

Probably won't happen but I wish he's played on the right from now on. Luis is solid enough defensively and excellent going forward. If Hazard is expected to help out his LB, why is the LB not expected to help him out in breaking teams down? Ivanovic needs some competition; his standards are slipping.

Lol calm down son, you haven't won anything yet. The difference is some people have shame and don't live in a bubble ... they don't go around wearing the disgraceful asterisk as a badge.

> 'WAHH WAHH Chelsea don't play any youngsters!' > Chelsea start playing best young GK in the world > 'WAHH maybe Cech will be better because of his experience'

Klopp must be so fucked off. They do create some of their own problems though, what's stopping them from getting a slightly bigger squad?
-
Clean sheets WILL be more difficult this season because we're set up more positively. Sure, one or two of the goals could have been avoided with better communication and better positioning, but it's not like it's unheard of for Cech to concede soft goals. How about we lay off the kid, eh? You can point to today and I can point to the one on one vs Nugent in the Leicester game and the save against Coleman in the Everton game that was somehow pushed onto the post.

Oh and it was a definite penalty. It's not 'shoulder to shoulder' - they're not jostling for the ball. Vargas just stupidly bundles into him when it's absolutely not needed. It'd be a foul outside the box every day of the week. Shame for QPR 'cause Hazard wasn't going anywhere with it.

I thought they were very good. Compact, zero spaces, brave. We had one moment of genius and one bit of overzealous defending to thank for the points. I don't think we were particularly poor but for sure a little sub par. Anyway, win's a win, can't smash them all.

What does it solve, coming out and making a remark like that in the press - especially one in such harsh terms? It's not like now he's said it the Korean/Japanese or whoever tourists will start belting out the classics from the terraces.
-
^ Rather be "crap" than have a permanent asterisk next to your title count. "We always count 32!" Pathetic.
-
They'll both be going for a win as a point does neither any good. I'm thinking it could come down to who manages to limit defensive mistakes because otherwise there's not much between them. Dzeko, Toure and Fernandinho are bang out of form; Silva is injured. No Falcao, RvP's a declining force and Rooney doesn't score against big teams anymore.

And if this is the treatment being meted out to Izzy Brown, someone who Mourinho himself has earmarked (but by common consensus wouldn't get in the list of the top 3 talents from the academy of the posters here), what fate awaits someone truly good like Boga or Loftus Cheek?

Nope, it won't. At maximum a minute for each challenge - that's 2 mins in 90, and they'll be added back anyway. It's not as if right now play resumes as soon as the ref has given his decision; people crowd around and moan, which takes way more time.

I like the idea of one review per side. Cricket has a much slower tempo to it so it's not the best example but I've seen the review system work well in field hockey, which is an even more frantic and breathless game than football. If it stamps out the absolute shockers (Chamberlain's sending off against us last year springs to mind) then the game will be better for it.

How Cahill leads this poll is beyond me. Maybe I've been spoilt by JT but I'd always want an authoritative figure to be leading us. Cahill is meek and inoffensive; we'd lose a little bit of that edge we have about us.

"I needed to feel more important" Such lack of self awareness. Much entitlement. Twat.

City might have the better names on paper but it's not doing them a whole lot of good right now, is it? I'm reminded of the immortal words of Andy Gray commentating on FIFA 07 - "The that team looks good on paper, Martin, but the game's played on grass."
-
Gosh damn, I've been pwnd.

Surely Ronaldo; excellent goal. How did Neymar's get on there?
