  1. Best performance of the season. Not just the scoreline but the circumstances in which we went about it. Completely bossing a German team away from home in the style we did represents the next stage in this side's evolution. Fantastic attitude straight from the start. Good time to be a Chelsea fan. P.S. Only unbeaten team across domestic and European competition now !
  2. The idiots at whoscored somehow rated that first half performance just a 6.8
  3. Fabregas is so good, he even assists opponents.
  4. The most clinical goalscorer around in all of Europe currently : Not bad otherwise either - joint 3rd overall in terms of goals scored (11), behind Ronaldo (20) and Aguero (12); 2nd overall in terms of goals per appearance (1.10), behind Ronaldo (1.82); 4th overall in terms of goals per 90 mins (1.18), behind Ronaldo (1.83), Neymar (1.34) and Aguero (1.22) Yeah it's not great. In fact he's among the worst in those aspects (turnovers and dispossessions) across big strikers in Europe this season : He's improving, though. His numbers per 90 mins last season were 3.92 (dispossessions) and 3.07 (turnovers).
  5. One Di Matteo, One Di Matteo! One Di Ma-tt-eooo, There's only one Di Matteo!
  6. www.football365.com/john-nicholson/9577616/Stop-Being-So-Sodding-Grateful... Top class. I hope Arsenal don't take that advice.
  7. "Please, never stop" - Rest of football
  8. Thank fuck my exams coincided with the wank international football week. Let's go now; proper football is back

  10. My favourite activity after every Arsenal fuck up is to look for their videos. Puerile as fuck but also damn hilarious.
  11. Sorry but that's rubbish. We have discarded him (quite rightly, IMO) in favour of the best talent in the world and he is entitled to look out for himself. That's what professionals are supposed to do, not twiddle thumbs till an offer comes along that won't aggravate people on an internet forum who don't understand how the concept of legacy works. If Cech doesn't feature in Chelsea's scheme of best interests, why should they feature in his? There's no disrespect or slight on either side; it's simply business.Having said all that, I would prefer he doesn't move to Arsenal for the very simple sporting reason that he's still young for a goalkeeper and has more than enough quality to improve them significantly - and by extension - hurt us. This isn't like Lamps at all, he was a pensioner and that won't hurt Chelsea in the long run, regardless of the goal at Etihad. Money is immaterial - we don't need it and goalies as a rule aren't costly anyway, even the top ones.
  12. It's not tea if it hasn't got any cardamom and ginger.
  13. The Express link that started this nonsense here is ridiculous. If you look at their pieces about Bale in the 5-6 days before the Chelsea story, they have tried every permutation possible - swap with Di Maria (yes, really), straight sale to Man U, etc. Why even post this shit? They're obsessed with the guy.
  14. Yep /r/soccer is excellent for news, links etc. Although they did brand all Chelsea fans Nazi worshipers last year after some trouble in Paris ahead of the CL game.
  15. Try contacting the popular CFC podcasts. @StamfordChidge on twitter runs one of them. Also wouldn't hurt to get in touch with Plains of Almeira if you're looking for a popular blog. There's also WAGNH.
  16. Classic case of applying Football Manager to actual football.
  17. John Obi is doing alright for himself

  19. 12-13 nos. will have been padded to an extent with all the deep cup runs against average opposition we encountered that season (2 x Nordsjaelland, Europa, LC semis, FA semis and Monterrey). We were more defensive last season and he also missed a few weeks from injury towards the end. I don't look at assists because they're difficult to draw conclusions from. More pertinent parameters for the numbers would be chances created or key passes. Use sqawka or whoscored, not ESPN.
  20. It's about the 5th time he's said that but scoring is not his natural game and he doesn't have the instinct for it. You can see it in his play and his numbers over the years, even in a 1 team league like Ukraine. I'll be happy if he just improves his overall attacking threat and final ball a couple of notches.
  21. Neuer, Lahm, Robben, Muller, Lewy; Ronaldo, Modric, Bale; Messi, Suarez; Vidal; Aguero; Hazard; Di Maria; Ibra for me. Reus would probably make my top 20.
  22. Moyes at La Real. First signing ... Fellaini?
  23. Haven't watched much at all this season but Rafa Honigstein termed his season so far as "Subotage". Probably tells you what you need to know.
