  1. Fair enough, i understand your points. But I still find that wage too high. I'd be delighted if he stays ofcourse, but I won't be devastated if he doesn't, and that goes for any player. Like Carlo said before, nobody is indispensable.
  2. It is addictive ... but twitter is even more stupid lol. People updating their page with what they had for breakfast, lunch and dinner, what coloured undies they're sleeping in etc. I use fb but only to keep in touch with a few friends, is a good way to kill time sometimes. And LDN, I do read the newspaper LOL
  3. Perfect game for Drogba to get some goals.
  4. Not here to build a team of good looking models are we? I mean Drogba's one ugly bastard - nobody complains about that ! On topic : It's never going to happen. Spurs aren't going to sell us their best player for 30 mil like the report claims. He's easily a 50 mil player when you look at the prices involved in other deals.
  5. It's the Sun. Says it all.
  6. I'm not getting any notifications when my posts are quoted
  7. He was peripheral in their Champions League run. Sneijder made that UCL win possible. He's scored 19 goals from 18 appearances this season already, while Drogba's got 8 from 20. That's what swung it in his favour IMO.
  8. If this is true, congratulations! we've just been swindled (again) Makes a mockery out of all the cost cutting measures during the summer and after that. And I don't understand why people seem so desperate for him to stay. He isn't bigger than this club. Joe Cole couldn't bully us into a new deal after spending 7 years here and being a part of the most successful spell in our history, so why should he? Sure he's a talented youngster, and could become a star for us in the future, but we shouldn't be held to ransom by two 19 year olds. He hasn't lived up to his promise in the appearances he's made so far. IMO Branna deserves a better deal than the reported 60k a week. Atleast he's proven himself to be one of the best defenders in Europe. Delighted he's close to signing. Bos next up please!
  9. Drogba's poor recent form costs him then?
  10. Joke of the day - Guardian 'reporting' that Hodgson wants Sturridge on loan in January
  11. Real had 9 players booked in the game against Sevilla!
  12. You only need to read all the posts in this thread itself to see the unjustified (imo) stick he's got. I think part of that stems from the thought people have that 'Hey he is Brazilian, so he must have some flair etc' but Carlo himself has come out and said that he's not your average Selecao player. Also I think some fans are miffed with his price tag, which I cannot understand. It's the club's problem that they couldn't negotiate a better price, it's not Ramires' fault. Again, some of the frustration at not signing marquee players to replace the ones departed has been directed at R7. About your hypothesis, I think it's because he flourishes when he's given space to run into. In the second half against Zilina and the Spurs game, also the Arsenal game earlier in the season, he wasn't tightly marked or closed down very quickly/effectively. It's a fact that his first touch is poor currently and when he's denied space, this problem magnifies itself. But when given space to run into, he does well. I think he'll come good as he plays more and more games and acquaints himself with our style of play and starts understanding fully what the manager and the teammates around him want him to do.
  13. We were shaking like leaves here yesterday when it was around 15 deg C. You lot will laugh at this I know but in our defence we're used to it being around 40 deg C all year round.
  14. Very true. We take a lot of things for granted

    LMAO

The mother of Paul Konchesky has lashed out at Liverpool fans, calling them "Scouse scum" on her Facebook site. Carol Konchesky, whose son plays left-back for the club, took offence at criticism of the player who joined from Fulham for £4m last summer. She told Liverpool's fans to stop "living off the past" and described Roy Hodgson's side as "shit". One friend responded by telling her to ignore "dirty Scousers" and "clueless morons" while another said: "The Liverpool scum don't know class when it hits them in the face." The Facebook account was taken down when fans started sending in angry messages. A club spokesman told the Liverpool Echo: "Mrs Konchensky's comments are inappropriate and have already been removed from Facebook. This does remain, however, a private family matter." In an earlier post Mrs Konchesky, who lives in Dagenham, said the family would not be moving to Liverpool with their son as "we don't like the way they talk". the guardian
  16. Very debatable. But certainly the best team in the world for the last 3 years or so ...
  17. I have faith in him too, I never said he's talentless. Fact is though, a lot of us are overhyping him, which is something he doesn't deserve, considering the performances he's put in this season when given a chance.
  18. No Joe? He is similar to Messi afterall!
