  1. ^ I like how the guardian is quick to publish this
  2. I actually don't mind losing to Spurs as long as we win against Utd and Arsenal.
  3. Good piece by Juni. But then again you have 90% users here making a scapegoat out of Ramires, Mikel, Kalou etc, none of whom are beyond 25 and still youngish. Falling on deaf ears? You bet.
  4. "'Obviously Gareth Bale could be a very dangerous player, we have to pay attention, but I don't want to put Ivanovic right-back. Right-back will be Ferreira, obviously we need support from midfielders to control him and we'll try to do this." Carlo on CFC I was hoping for a back four like this - Ivan , Bruma, JT, Cole but oh well. So pretty much confirmed then, Cech Ferreira, Ivan, JT, Cole Mikel Essien, Ramires/Malouda Anelka, Drogba, Kalou/Malouda
  5. "Barcelona will receive €30m per season from 2011-12 from the nonprofit organisation, located in the gulf state where the 2022 World Cup will be played." And this supposed nonprofit organisation just had £125 million lying about? :/
  6. You'll see your words falling on deaf ears.
  7. Signs aren't good ofcourse, but anything is possible in football.
  8. I wouldn't be averse to Ivan at RB, Bruma at CB. Ferreira vs Bale =
  9. Yep. On topic: I wouldn't say we're in a crisis yet. But pick up any less than 6 points in the 3 coming games, and we will be in one. The lack of options among the squad is taking it's toll. Carlo needs to buy in Jan, but it all depends on Roman's willingness to spend.
  10. You obviously didn't read it although he PUT IT IN CAPS LIKE THIS.
  11. Fantastic interview from Ray - "I think what you're seeing is what Chelsea will be for the next couple of years," said Wilkins. "They're very fortunate to have a very pleasant crop of young men coming through that are extremely talented. "You've got Josh McEachran, Gael Kakuta, [Jeffrey] Bruma the likes of. They're all doing extremely well and, coupled with the extremely experienced players of such a top level, if these guys can get in there and start producing the goods it augurs well for Chelsea." But Wilkins has warned McEachran and co they will have to snatch their chance when they get it and repay the faith shown in them. "We had a bit of a dearth at Chelsea over a number of years where players were not there," he added. "And Roman went out and he supplied a squad that was second to none probably on the planet. Now they're taking a slightly different attitude in the way they are going. "Everybody seems to think it's the wrong way to go and sooner or later this academy has to start performing. And these young men are the guys that have been brought in to do it so we can either have it one or the other. "Do we keep going out spending millions and millions of pounds or do we give these young men a chance? In the past it's been we'll spend. [but] at some stage these young men have to stand up and be counted. It's time now to be counted." Wilkins also insists he holds no ill feeling towards Abramovich despite his sacking and denied a heated discussion with the Russian after the Champions League exit to Inter Milan last season was the reason for his removal. He added: "Carlo, myself, Roman and a couple of Roman's aides had a discussion after the game and naturally when you go out the Champions League at such a delicate period you get a bit heated. "That's all it was – nothing more. I'm sure if I would have upset Roman at that period then I would have been out that night. But Roman just feels in this moment of time, from what I can gather, that there needs to be a change within the coaching structure so therefore I'm no longer there. "But I would say nothing against Chelsea. I had an absolute ball whilst I was there and I feel privileged to work with these guys." Talksport What a top, top bloke.
  12. I'll probably be slated for saying this, but Drogba shouldn't be our 3rd captain. Step up Petr Cech!
  13. Don't want to blame anyone tbh. Carlo's hand is forced in some matters but then he's not playing his cards right when the opportunity arises. Atm this is like the nightmare you can't seem to wake up from.
  14. No no I didn't say we're in this kinda form because we don't have Lampard or that we'll be back as soon as he returns. What I'm sayin is that it's embarrassing that with Lampard we're great so without him we should be good/above average, but the reality is that without him we're absolute crap. The drop in level in shocking.
  15. Good report like always mate. Cech - 5/10 Bosingwa - 4/10 JT - 5.5/10 Ivan - 5.5/10 Ferreira - 4/10 Josh - 7/10 Ramires - 4.5/10 Essien - 5/10 Malouda - 4.5/10 Kalou - 4.5/10 Drogba - 3/10
  16. Pardew has been appointed, it's official. (5 and a half year deal) /thread.
  17. This is getting scarily similar to Scolari's last couple of months
  18. Kalou's ass. Atleast it made me laugh.
