  1. Sarri is intelligent enough to see that Kante doesn't have the ability to be a holding midfielder. Kante still does a job in a more advanced role and has scored some crucial goals. His pressing is vital for us in that area of the pitch. We replace our full backs with proper footballing fullbacks, have a creative LCM and RW, no one will give an arse where Kante is. Don't get it twisted. Jorginho was phenomenal for us up until November. It is clear as day he needs competition and rotation.
  2. You aren't implying Kante and Jorginho to switch are you? Kante as a holding midfielder won't ever work. To think we can simply put Kante there instead of Jorginho shows a fundamental lack of understanding in how football works. I rate Kepa with what I see, and I have yet to see him make any saves that have kept us in games.
  3. We replace Hazard with both Pepe and Fekir, things don't look too bad.
  4. Let's say we take the funds from Hazard and buy Fekir, Pepe, and Barella?
  5. I honestly don't see anything special about him. His distribution is good, however he looks bang average aside that. Replace our RW with a more creative player as well as LCM, having Kante in the team shouldn't be a problem. It is just that we have too many players who lack creativity in the team.
  6. So what if we were firing on all cylinders? Would Sarri still have been the wrong man given his age?
  7. We'll only have Hazard, Pedro, and CHO the rest of the season
  8. On paper, yes. Kovacic' lack of end product and Kante in a more advanced role were always in question.
  9. Having a midfield three of Kovacic, Kante, and Jorginho is redundant. Not an ounce of creativity from them. It's no wonder we can't create chances.
  10. Higuain Hazard---------------CHO Ruben-----Kante Kovacic Emerson---Luiz---Rudiger---Zappa Kepa
  11. Kante is the only player who can realistically hold his head up high this season.
  12. Pedro's decision making this season has been worse than Willian's. That is saying something.
  13. Not looking forward to that. They will no doubt follow Bournemouth's game plan.
  14. As brilliant as United were during that time as well, I am still convinced that manager instability is what led that Chelsea team do be under their thumb those three consecutive league titles United won. We had great players, but at times there was no cohesion whatsoever.
  15. Sarri at the bare minimum deserves next season.
  16. What's mad to think, is that since he's been here, we've never had a player that could match his influence in the third. Not since Mata. Cheers Jose
  17. True. I still think however the board plays a massive role in players that are invested into the club. Ruben has been here for what, 5 years? And a donkey like Bakayoko has played more minutes than him in one season.
  18. So then why did we reject 60 million from Barca? Twice?
  19. I think there is massive pressure on the manager from the board to play players who were invested on. I can't see any other reason.
  20. This is a hard truth pill to swallow. There will always be a fear in selling him though given the lack of trust we have our board in utilising the funds effectively.
  21. If we sold Willian on deadline day which Meant CHO would get more minutes, the Bournemouth defeat would be less painful.
