Has Jackson shown enough to be a match winner? He scored a few goals but none that were game winners. We can obviously point to the League cup final and FA Cup semi final and say these are the consequences of relying on him far too heavily.
We are putting an awful lot of faith in him going into next season unless we are going to completely rely on Nkunku and Palmer?
Yeah but this was under Poch's chaotic football which seems to rattle Pep/City. Liverpool under Klopp had a similar approach. Under Maresca's controlled football, its a complete mystery. Could be like under Sarri the 2-0 win, or also like Sarri the 0-6 defeat...
Pep always has the upper hand when up against teams that try to go toe to toe with him.
Arsenal - Not a chance. He'd be Saka's understudy.
Bayern - Reliable reports say Olise wants to stay in England.
Newcastle - Zero chance. No European football and they have to sell this summer so will presumably be weaker heading into next season.
United - Won't happen. Ratcliffe penny pincher. They bid less than 40m for Branthwaite when Everton were asking for 70m.
It only leaves City really.
Have a feeling the issue will be with negotiating a price with Palace, as the release clause is only for Champions League clubs.
Olise agreeing terms will be no problem.
Isn't Plettenberg Tier 3? He has inside sources at Bayern but nothing elsewhere. Bayern have Colwill as a target if they don't get Tah, however I'd imagine the conversation Bayern reps and Clearlake have over the availability of Colwill will last fewer than 3 seconds.
I'm more worried about where Nkunku and Palmer fit into this. Neither would benefit as being a wide left sided winger, and both together in the #8 positions would be very top heavy.
