That is fine, frankly I would agree with you. If dortmund want to spend 50 on Batman which we would then put to use to better the team while keeping Morata i would be over the moon. I was just operating under the assumption that Morata had greater market value and if he needed to move to secure someone like a Lewa/Icardi I would be willing to do it.
-
At this moment We have Morata/Bats/Giroud. I would only happily move Morata along if we got Lewa/Icardi and probably Higuain if thats who Sarri wants. That leaves Giroud/Bats/one of the 3. If you look back through my previous posts on Morata I believe he will come good and I support him staying here. My point was about having a prime striker lined up before allowing Morata to leave, if he/club wants. Also, I was solely speaking about a 1 in 1 out with Morata. Plus did you even read my post? Direct quote "If we do NOT have a prime option at striker and let morata leave on one of those ridiculous loan with buy deals ill be livid." I agree Lewa/Icardi are incredibly unlikely, but if either agreed would you move Morata?

I know he has had a rough start at Chelsea, coming off a massive injury into a toxic culture. If Sarri does come, Barkley could actually potentially become extremely useful. He is an uber athletic hard working player with talent and a nice shot on him. I envision him playing the Hamsik role of most attacking midfielder. Barkley/RLC both fit that role and they could really come good with the system and coach. To me its not fair to judge Barkley until he is fully healthy, his clock starts next year for me & I think Sarri could be a blessing for him

More Money in the PL, bigger stage, More talented roster/youth system, More willing to supplement the squad than ADL.
-
If Lewa or Icardi is lined up, Morata can go for all i care. If we do NOT have a prime option at striker and let morata leave on one of those ridiculous loan with buy deals ill be livid. Sarri might want Higuain but he is 3rd behind Lewa/Icardi for me. Should be quite an interesting summer.
-
Cause he is not ready, in a few years maybe. but U18 to First team is too drastic a jump. Start getting him ready now with Lampard on the staff for the future.

If we are to believe everyone online Sarri will be our new manager. The transfer list should be short and sweet but just what he needs. 1. Jorginho - Does this even need to be explained? 2. Leon Bailey - Some will say he doesn't fit the style, i say he is immensely talented and a good purchase 3. Koulibaly - He is a Sarri Disciple and we have been chasing him the past 2 summers. Will be expensive but would assume he will push his way out. 4. Striker - If morata wants to ship out it would either be Lewa/Icardi(dream) or Higuain who is a Sarri favourite and Juve would want Morata. 5. Willian? - if ManU/Jose want him, I will happily swap for Martial. In a perfect world we pick up the 4 first choices, bring back RLC, sell off some deadwood like Drinkwater/Luiz and get this party started. Trying to get Jorginho/KK from ADL is going to be close to impossible though. I would settle for just Jorginho, KK would have to cut a VERY unhappy figure and we would have to offer a VERY large sum for him to even start the conversation.
-
Would be quite a sight to see Sarri & Koulibaly for Chelsea. Between KK/Rudi/AC/Azpi/Cahill/ potentially Zouma we are fully loaded at CB. I think Azpi can play RB for Sarri though as he is very similar to Hysaj.
-
If the recent coaching carousel is any indication this man is our new #1 target for Sarri. City is tempting for him but I have got to assume a top team in the PL with the coach who made him is equally tempting.
-
Just remember to take it all with a grain of salt! these guys want clicks so they will say pretty much anything. Zenit is for sure a possibility but Sarri isnt convinced on them if they are to be believed. I think he has his eyes firmly set on us still. It would take a lack of belief in him from Roman/Marina for this to not get done in our favour. Its very possible but I think the reports of him being close to signing for Zenit are over blown. Just my own opinion though, I very well could be massively mistaken.
-
Its all just rumours at the moment, I don't believe Sarri would torpedo his standing with Napoli to ship off to Russia. These things seemingly move quick in the media but actually slowly when it comes to official paperwork. Carlo will sign and be confirmed in the coming days, This might have sped up the Chelsea plan but I think they are probably negotiating a buyout deal with Conte + Backroom staff this week while seeing how many people Sarri wants to bring. We may think this stuff is simple and easy but there are layers to everything. Knowing us we very well might mess this up, but I am choosing to believe things are shaking out a bit quicker than anticipated so they are working on over drive to sort it all out. (i am more optimistic and give too much credit, but this seems like a more likely scenario than Sarri shipping off to siberia)
-
Than we should see some movement in the next 2 days if he is to be our man.
-
If sarri is to be our manager, and PSG/Madrid want to splash for Courtois I would personally drive him to the airport. He is a wonderful shot stopper but we could find a like for like replacement with 50-60% of the cash we received. Alisson & Oblak fit the bill and both seemingly are ready for greener($) pastures
-
For me, he is a top 3 striker in the world at the moment and has not shown he is slowing down. If we can bring in a top 3 striker i do not care about the price, I only care if he will actually agree to come that they get it done. Lets not nitpick and overthink this, our greatest concern is convincing special players to come play for us. If somehow we convince him to come I would be crying of happiness. he is a stone cold assassin, probably the most well rounded and complete striker in the game. His pace might continue to slowly diminish(i don't believe he has ever relied on it to be special truthfully), but his instincts, brains, and superior skillset remain the same. He has no off the field concerns, he has brought it for a limited poland and an incredible bayern team. Couple him with an attacking coach and a motivated hazard? imagine if we had Lewa instead of Morata this year? would be a totally different story. I do NOT believe this will get done, but I sure as hell wish it would.

SMS is a dream, a complete powerhouse player. Could fit into any style and would be an ideal signing, wont happen but would be spectacular. Jorginho I would only want if we brought in Sarri, he is a specific player for a specific system. To fully utilize him we would need a coach who demands that style.
-
From the Chelsea end, sometimes the journos get it right but majority of the time they are late to the party and reacting. Something like this wouldn't really necessitate a rumour because there have been such expectations for Conte to be fired and bring someone new in. Like i said, i really don't know. I think if the Sarri clause really does expire end of day today, we will know something sooner rather than later because Napoli would move on quick then everything will fall in to place.
-
I think he is gone, He went to Milan for the pirlo testimonial which might have put a tiny halt on things with regards to him, he should be on his way back to London now. I think the club is working on the Sarri option at the moment, trying to convince napoli to take conte or come up with a way to get around having to pay BOTH coaches clauses. It is encouraging that Sarri has basically said goodbye to Napoli while also not taking the money from Russia just yet. I'd expect rumors to circulate tomorrow that we have paid the Sarri release clause, followed by a couple days of nobody knowing anything then him being confirmed on the weekend/early next week. This is just what I think is going on, Roman will look at the sarri style and become too intoxicated with it not to get him here. Jardim is a good choice but less flashy, Jokanovic is interesting but too big of a jump up to Chelsea. these are just my thoughts on the backroom goings on at the moment, i admittedly know nothing and am most certainly wrong
-
I definitely have had my issues with Hazard and his attitude but I think we also discount just how heavily we rely on him. Most games if he isnt absolutely humming our attack is useless. That weighs on a player, he is allowed bad games. It just so happens that when he has bad games our attack grounds to a halt. I am curious to see him play under an offensive minded coach with a potential new signing or two and a more transitional midfield. He is so isolated in the 352 system with Giroud/Fabregas/Bakayoko combo it must be so frustrating.
-
This could be controversial but if we don't get Sarri as our manager(looking highly unlikely) is Jorginho someone we absolutely need? He is a pass master who needs a particular type of system to be effective. Pep plays that system, we do not. I do not expect him, nor was he a particularly high target for me unless we secured Sarri. I compare him to someone like Jean Seri, Seri is more useful to us as he is more mobile and has a knack for a long range goal while still providing tempo control and passing.
-
If he is even remotely available we simply must go for him. he brings is own baggage and issues but he is a sniper. In a proper offensive team he could challenge Harry Kane on a yearly basis. He is probably the only striker available id willingly give up on Morata for.
-
Apparently Chelsea have finished the Enrique deal, he wants too much and we are moving on. Leo Jardim is the next potential coach. I would be happy with Jardim, far happier with him than Enrique thats for sure.
-
I really wish we would reach out to Julian Nagelsmann, He is young, progressive & worked wonders in the german league. He might not take the job but I would love for us to try.
-
I am sufficiently broken from the club this season, my expectations are at an all time low. Sad days. But business must go on, We should hope the club is currently targeting players who are formation fluid. I hope we have placed calls to Leon Bailey, Jean Seri, and Icardi. I do not expect we have though. Manager situation should sort itself out by Monday and we can move on with the Offseason Suffering.
-
I don't know if its an attitude problem, Hazard has shown himself to be inherently unselfish. He seems like a genuinely nice person and wants to involve his teammates and play beautiful football. He thinks that if someone else has even a sliver of a better chance he will make the proper football play and move it along. The issue is he has so much more talent we all just want him to have a go rather than leave it to someone else even if its the technically proper play. Its an interesting dilemma, one i personally hope Sarri(if he comes) can help with. I selfishly sit here and dream about Insigne pre and now & imagine all the hypothetical optimistic best case scenarios for Hazard. It is hypothetical time after such a shit year, so I'll choose to live inside my optimistic head for a little while haha
