  1. Pathetic to drop baba. We are going to start Kennedy against Maria? Or a half fit jt? Another stupid decision from Gus.
  2. He is a decent player but its a liverpool/spurs kind of buy. He is 29, will cost a few bucks, and simply not the buy we should be looking for. We have GC/JT as our back up options. we have christensen in the wings along who can take over from GC/JT in an year. What we need now is a world class partner for zouma (if he comes back as good as he was). Scott Dann wont be a solution. I hope we start playing 4-3-3 next season. Our most potent creative force is cesc, and a 2-man pivot just does not suit him. I hope we have this squad for next season. Gks - thibaut, begovic (HG), blackman (HG) Defs - Zouma, Marquinhos/stones/laporte/inigo-martinez, JT/GC (HG), azpi, baba, ake (HG), iva, aina? (HG) CMs - Matic, cesc (HG), Kante, Radja, Rlc (HG), Mikel Wingers - Hazard, willian, Pedro, Kenedy Strikers - costa, traore, lacazzete. The main problem with this is that we have some absolute gems in players like boga and musonda. and our whole youth system seems to top heavy. So, that would be the only reason i would want to continue with 4-2-3-1. In that case i would like to see this squad. Gks - thibaut, begovic (HG), blackman (HG) Defs - Zouma, Marquinhos/stones/laporte/inigo-martinez, JT/GC (HG), azpi, baba, ake (HG), iva, aina? (HG) CMs - Matic, cesc (HG), Kante/Radja, Rlc (HG), Mikel AMs - Hazard, willian, Pedro,Isco/Payet, Kenedy, Musonda Strikers - costa, traore, lacazzete. None the less, we need a quality CB, a quality CM, and depending on the manager another quality CM/Am(radja/isco)
  3. There is also the difference of criticising a player who deserves it and giving another their due. Mikel has done a very good job covering for matic. Also, how does it not matter how mikel is a starter currently? Do we expect matic to have another shit season next year? In that case do we expect hazard to be this average? Do we expect tibo to be this average? Well, in these cases we need a world class dm, a world class winger, and a world class gk. I don't think so. I think these 3 will be back to their best once they get their confidence back. William is a winger in my opinion. He does not have the creativeness or the vision to be the no. 10 for us. He is doing a fine job currently but I would rather have him on the wings with someone like Isco as a no.10 who can control games. As for Oscar. Let's not even compare him to such players. And again, what is osxar's role in the squad? A starter - then he clearly is not good enough. A bench player? Musonda/boga will be as good. And that is the point I have been trying to make for days now. Hence, why people think Oscar is a major problem in our squad. We need a massive upgrade on a no.10 starter in the team. We needed that last season too but for some weird reason Jose thought Oscar would have a hazard-esque development . Well Oscar clearly did not, but hazard had a Oscar-esque development. Anyways, this is where we disagree the most. For me, a creative no.10 is a must. Someone who can take the play making load off cesc, control the possession etc etc, all of which Oscar can't do. If we do get a creative no.10 like Isco then Oscar becomes redundant and useless even more than he currently is. Hence, why i feel he can replaced by a musonda/boga. Ps- let's stop comparing ourselves to the top 3. We are a decade off them. Also, while rm might have bought a squad of superstars, barca and bayern have an army of their own youth players who they developed into superstars. We have a chance to do that too with some of the talent we have at our disposal.
  4. He really has turned a corner this season. Hopefully he can have a brilliant "WHOLE" season next time around.
  5. It was nice knowing you baba. Knowing this club, I would not expect to see him on the pitch any time soon
  6. None left in the squad. Kennedy has played left back. Just shows our lack of depth.
  7. 1. Understand the difference between "not liking an opinion" and "not even trying to understand someone's opinion". 2. Did you address the people directly? No. You took the passive aggressive way out of it. Admittedly I did the same but this was the exact reason I did not want to continue the discussion (not really a discussion with you at this point). 3. Mikel is a bit part player. You obviously did not care about reading or even trying to understand my whole post. Mikel is a starter currently because matic's awful season. And for me matic,s awful season is a one off. Meanwhile Oscar was a starter all season. Even in gus's starting matches and only in the past 3/4 matches has he been relegated to the bench. So? We should not look to better ourselves? I don't get the point of your last argument. Replacing Oscar with messi does not make us better than the top 3 but it makes our squad better. Otherwise we can stop everything because unless we make 15 changes we won't be as good as either of those 3. As for people "liking" my post. I feel they are Chelsea fans too who see my point and feel this may be a good method to go forward. You on the other hand are so fixated at abusing mikel and belittling the man/player that you can't see anyone else's point.
  8. Some people just love to play the victim, don't they. Sometimes, instead of forcing your opinion down someone's throat, people should try to listen them out. No one here is denying that both Oscar and mikel are average players who should not be a part of the squad. But their roles in the squad and the number of youth players in the wing make their situation very different. Mikel is our 2nd Dm who needed an abysmal half season from matic to get into the team. I don't expect matic to be half this poor next season. Which would mean mikel going back to his very bit part role. People are "fine" with THAT. Compare this to osxar's situation. He is our only recognised no.10. He needed to be abysmal for half a season to be dropped currently. Also, people are not replacing Oscar directly with boba and musonda. Replace Oscar with Isco or even payet. And sell him so that his 2nd no. 10 bit part role can be taken be musonda/bogs. If people can name one dm in our roster who can take mikel'a place. I ll happily see him off. The problem is we don't have that talent in that area of the pitch. This is my opinion. Very simple and undramatic unlike others.
  9. I cant even bother to address the guy who cant understand the thing you wrote. Its as if his hatred towards mikel is blocking all any rational thinking. But thank you on clearing that for me. I was starting to doubt my own self.
  10. Why should i judge oscar on how he trains? I will judge him on how he plays and the amount of effort he puts in while playing. Who is saying mikel is "good enough"? Why do you need to put words into the other person's mouth. The only reason why i said, i would be "ok" if mikel stays as the backup DM next season is because we have no good youth player in our ranks coming through. Even the loanees seem poor. MVG has been atrocious and rightfully moved on. I have never got the hype of Pasalic. Seems very ordinary to me. Mikel is still the best option among these. This does not mean that i am opposed to buying someone and shipping mikel off. It just means that for me, Mikel is not the fundamental problem. Meanwhile Oscar is. He is supposedly the only proper no.10 in our squad, which would make look WHU look bad. Would he start ahead of payet, moses, valenica/lanzini. Hell NO. thats the standard of our only and main no.10 in the squad. We are talking about oscar and mikel, so why would i include DD, Cech, etc? Yes, they were a massive massive massive part, but i dont think anyone would disagree when i say that mikel was our MOTM that night. lastly, "All arguments you have against Oscar apply to Mikel too, esp because he's older and has been at the club for 10 years! Imagine how many youngsters have missed their chance because of him." No they dont. While both are average players, we have a number of youth players and exceptional youth players who can take his role. Meanwhile, we have no one who can do that for mikel. We would need to spend another 20mil to get a back up DM and for me, that should not be a priority this summer. a 2nd striker, a world class CB, a world class no.10 come way before these. replacing mikel with aranguiz/X/Y/Z would not make us PL champions. replacing oscar with isco (since oscar is a starter and the only no.10) definitely would.
  11. fair enough of cech. the point is that we had 4 senior defenders (which included a 36 year old JT, a bang average Cahill) + a 20 year old zouma + 21 year old attacking full back whom the manager did not trust to be better than the worst player in PL (formwise). WHY? baba might go on to become a chelsea legend, but we needed the appropriate cover in defence which we surely did not have. JOSE/BOARD screwed this up big time.
  12. We won the PL despite half a season of poor below the average performances from oscar. So i dont get the link. Also, that night in munich was once a lifetime oppurtunity and while I do understand what you are saying, there is sentimental and emotional attachment to that night which wont be rid of EVER. I would take back ryan in a heartbeat. It was downright silly to even let a HG player go when we have such a dearth of them. I would take luiz over GC/IVA too. On this point i have to massively disagree. Obviously you have to appreciate dedication. there are players like hazard, oscar, cesc, costa who just went half a season playing for us without giving a "FUCK" (pardon my language, but their attitude stunk the place up). You look at players like willian, azpi, JT, zouma, how can you not appreciate them. While it would be a lot of players who would dream to play for chelsea, they are not good enough. Players like DD, lamps, JT, cech, ash, maka, bison are special because they were not just good enough but also seemed to actually care for the club with their fight, character and love for the club rather than instagram messages. You got me wrong here. We have a number of brilliant young AMs like musonda, boga, kenedy in our ranks. Oscar does NOTHING but eats away into the time for these younsters. On the other hand, mikel currently is the best DM we have (on form). I expect matic to be back to his 2014/15 beast self next season. If we buy a better back up DM, then good enough, but no youth player in our roster seems good enough to take that mantle up. And before RLC's name comes up, i dont think he is a DM and i dont think that he should be played in that position.
  13. Listen, lets not call a club legend a "diva". He was one of the best servants of the club. Yes, he is to blame a lot for the situation we were in and he had paid for it with his job. So lets not namecall a legend. Pedro was a good buy but not the answer. Pedro was always going to take time to adjust. He was not going to make us better this season. Baba was one for the future. Still dont understand why we had to sell luis. Why have just 5 defenders and 1 20 year old LB who the manager does not trust to start ahead of the worst player in PL? Cant understand that. I dont know if the decision was from the board or from jose, but this was a completely BAFFLING one. People might argue that luis wanted to leave. But so did de gea and a hundred more every season. Clubs should not be selling players every time they want to leave. Fair enough on Cech situation. This was my point. the previous window was awful. We ended up making our squad a lot weaker. We did not improve on the places that needed improvement. Which did play a huge part in the way this season has panned out.
  14. Fair enough mate. Though honestly, I think you are very harsh on Mikel. He is not the most gifted player out there, but the guy has given his all for the club. His that one performance against Bayern was good enough a hundred crimes. Nonetheless, i agree that both need to be sold. But if given an option, i would rather keep mikel than oscar.
  15. cech>>>>>>>>>> begovic luis >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. rahman pedro was always going to take time to acclimatize and kenedy is one for the future. What we NEEDED/craved for was a CB and a CM. Something in which the club failed massively to get our required targets. Hence, it was an awful window. It weakened the squad in key areas (GK and LB) as well as no improvement in required areas (CB, CM).
  16. Sorry mate. But this argument simply does not suffice. If this is a team which has mikel as its best DM (currently) and a LB who is actually a RB etc etc, then we should be looking to improve it rather than making the situation any worse by adding mediocre players in the squad who provide nothing over the current roster and hamper any youth development. Currently we have hazard, willian, pedro as our AMs. we have the likes of musonda, boga, kenedy who can easily be SUPERSTARS in the future. Simply cant see why we need someone like cuadrado in our squad.
  17. This guy reminds me so much of torres with one section of the fans giving him dog abuse while the other section trying to placate themselves as well as the others with "He is not so bad. He can run around and do a "job". He has a lot of workrate" and all that BS. The crux of the matter is that oscar simply is not good enough. He is not good enough to be a starter in Chelsea if we want to be a European force or dominant domestic league. He "IS" good enough as a bench option, but we have some brilliant youngsters like Musonda, Boga, Kenedy in our ranks. High time that we cash out on him, minimize our losses and trust the youth or buy an actual world class player like isco. Just cant see any use of having him in our roster for the next year.
  18. Exactly. Anyone that cant see this has to be biased. Hazard this season has been worse but thats because he wants to leave. Oscar on the other hand is so limited as a player that its almost a crime to see him starting for us. All he does is eat away into the youth players' time just like yesterday where RLC could have played.
  19. Despite all the goals and assists, hazard was bang average. All our goals and assists were down to poor/shit defending from city trying to keep that line on the box rather than some good play. pedro and cesc were very impressive. as was baba. iva and gc were embarrasing to say the least.
  20. Cant believe fans are so naive. Even ramires got a contract extension before been shipped off for massive money. I expect the same for mikel this summer. We need an overhaul and he should be off.
  21. Eden had been awful. How many times has baba made a run only for Eden to completely ignore him, come inside and lose the ball. Dont think he even understand the concept of an overlapping run. Willian's decision making has been flabergasting. That moment when he had 2 players on the left completely free but decided to simply drive into 3 man city defenders. We look like arsenal. Trying to score the perfect goal. Baba has been a delight to watch. Iva and GC have been embarassing. Cant handle 2 teenagers. Lets hope Blanc is not watching this shit.
  22. what a shame!!! city put in their youth team and we put our A team. no RLC, kenedy, traore in the line up. SHAME
  23. THIS! Cant disagree with a word here except for keeping him as a squad player. Would simply eat away time for young players like RLC or Musonda or Boga either playing on the wing or as a no.10. He exactly the kind of player that we should sell if we want young players to come through at the club.
