  1. It gets especially funny when the actual experts (SwissRamble) are relatively relaxed and shot down any whiners with the long known figures about revenue, amortization, exceptions etc.
  2. Yeah we would appreciate a photograph of the carcass shot inside one of your local whorehouses.
  3. Cheers for that! I'm glad he's likely to be as honest as he is talented but I will naturally hold some reservations until I see him since gifted dribblers who do not embarrass anyone watching football are a rare compliment to the sport and mostly to the clubs that brought them up (Royal Stade Brainois, Tubize, Lille). As his being a proper man on the pitch being discussed before, you'll have to pardon my missing that but I only started seriously reading the thread after the signs that he was joining us became clear, I have hardly enough time for the threads concerning the clubs future so I generally skip the transfer topics altogether. The statistic concerning his yellow cards is very interesting but while your point on composure does seem correct it (the stat) still is open to numerous different interpretations. The obvious one and harder to argue would be that his fouling is generally clean. Some more advanced depend on how Lille played and the instructions he was given by the coach. For example in the case of pressing football and/or counter attacks he may have been required to commit cynical fouls or fouls higher up the pitch and a possible failure of doing so may make a cunt like Suarez preferable for that specific scenario.
  4. What about his on-pitch behavior? He may or may not be the prick he's painted to be but he seemed to behave pretty well considering how awfully often he was fouled in the compilations I've seen. Would you describe him as a diver (Ashley Young), a drowner (Drogba), a diva (Ronaldo) or a baiter (Suarez)?
  5. Just hope it isn't serious because Lampard isn't one to get small short-term injuries.
  6. Then you're IMO way too hard on him/the transfer. He's supposed to be immensely naturally talented according to more than a few good sources so having watched a grand total of 0 full games of his I'm willing to give him more than the usual 10 league games to get a rough view on whether the transfer was worth it.
  7. What the fucking hell? I'm almost convinced you are a troll.. How the hell can you go from idolizing fucking Kalouless to an avatar of a political theorist? This looks like an insult more than anything else.
  8. During contract negotiations, there is no player that fans like. After those are done it will be easier to make out who bought into the club fueled media stories, those who are still bitter about his contract and those who genuinely dislike him (like BlueLion).
  9. Have you actually seen enough of him or is that just a reaction to an unimpressive vid?
  10. Given how both Ancelotti and AVB were meant to be Roman's personal targets (and Ancelotti was one he was supposedly chasing for years) I wouldn't hold my breath.
  11. As if your previous posts weren't enough to establish you as the poorest arguer the forum has seen this year..
  12. That's more or less how I feel too. The task Chelsea's manager has in front of him is very hard either way. Both RdM and Guardiola would be big risks (not unlike AVB in terms of size). Funny that. Till now we've been losing faith in the Chelsea board almost annually for caring only about results. Now we're about to lose faith cause they might not base their decision on half a dozen results.
  13. Oh just fuck off with people owing their careers to Chelsea joining the Scousers. Lost all respect I had for Rodgers.
  14. Yet when the entertainment argument comes from the same people who are going mad over RdM winning us the CL in the way that it happened I can't help but wonder whether or not they realise how empty their arguments are.
  15. I'm very doubtful about that. The hypocrisy is still astonishing though.
  16. Anyone denouncing tiki-taka is being either obsessed with RdM or ignorant that despite its debatable visual attractiveness it still is the single most dominating style football has seen.
  17. Any chance of finding how many of his goals were scored in games won by 3 or more?
  18. Only if you define anything except giving him the job as shocking treatment. I reckon RdM is well informed of what's going to happen and that is exactly what makes the journos mad.
  19. They greatest managers are chameleons, not goldfishes.
  20. Even mr diamond Carlo Ancelotti changed his tactics not long after he changed team. How many times are we going to make the mistake of thinking managers are anything but managers.
  21. I wonder just how many full games of MK Dons under RdM have all the members of TalkChelsea put together seen?
  22. What the hell is up with the thread's title? That and hitting 5 pages in a few hours and it looked like it was official.
  23. It's the relative league form that is judged rather than the absolute. We finished with just 9 points less this season (having effectively fielded a 2nd team in the last 2 games) but nowhere near the top 4 nevermind the 2nd place. He's sticking to the tactics that made Chelsea successful
