  1. Would be a bargain. However as Justin said I don't believe we (or City) are interested in him.
  2. I know that I of all people have no right to comment on people's English but it's just that I've been on quite a few forums and have witnessed brilliant boards turning into something similar to Youtube's comment section due language barriers leading to users caring only about simply expressing their views (no matter how simplistic/ignorant they were) instead of having proper discussions. No need to mention that usually the good users either disband or move to other communities where they don't have to dig through countless "+1"s, "you suck $%R^&@" etc.
  3. The scale and type of those amazing things is the defining point. You speak of setting/breaking records while I believe Mourinho is/should be considered a legend for being a fundamental part of the revolution the club underwent with Abramovich, he put us on the map.
  4. Thank you. [offtopic] Now we'll need to sort out our definition of a legend before having such a discussion. There are plenty kinds of "legends", on the one hand you've got your Osgoods and your Choppers and on the other your Wises, your Zolas, your Terrys and your Lampards. Then you've got anyone from Cudicini and Ferreira to Ballack or Cole who were all excellent/loyal/consistent for us but their Chelsea career simply can't hold a candle to the ones I mentioned before. I tend to be quite careful with the use of that word. [/offtopic]
  5. That would be like signing De Gea and giving him minutes in cup games and league games which we've already won just because he may eventually replace Cech Anyway to avoid starting a debate that would derail this topic I'll admit that I just can't comprehend any discussion regarding buying expensive central defenders at the moment.
  6. Not trying to pick a fight, just genuine curiosity and I shall move out of this thread once its satisfied.
  7. Why do I keep reading this from biased journos and fans alike ever since we entered silly season ? He's shown no signs of decline during 10/11 and was easily our best defender. ManUnited will have their only experienced CBs reaching 30 and 33 by November and I have not seen anyone claiming that Smalling or Jones are anything but long term replacements. Let's concentrate on the areas that need fixing, at the moment we've got 4 world class central defenders and I can't think of many teams in the last 10 years which could claim the same thing.
  8. 1 year deal, if we don't call him back after that he'll stay for one more and HSV will have the ability to activate a buy-out clause. Edit: Just saw LDN posted that in the previous page.
  9. I thought I saw somewhere Youtube was going to cover it, not sure though.
  10. Yeah I also heard Santos released a statement on their website about some Neymar guy. In other news a virgin is pregnant and will most likely deliver the child in December.
  11. I could swear I witnessed 2 players over 30 winning us the domestic double or was that something Carletto did by himself?
  12. Are you going for a record or something? 50+ posts in day which had no Chelsea news is a number even LDN can't boast.
  13. Lets not be ridiculous, our squad underperformed last year and had the players played to their abilities we could easily compete with that terrible ManUnited side. However now that United have improved we can't afford to lag behind.
  14. Finally some speculation! We sure didn't have any!
  15. Good luck deciding where the numerous FIFA vs PES posts should go
  16. Can't find the FIFA 12/PES 2012 topics in the gaming subforum
  17. Here's SI's take on the matter, which I agree with: In theory it should work both ways for us and Villas-Boas.
  18. Give me strength! He's the new McEachran!!
  19. They'd wish! He didn't even remember Daglish's name
  20. The only thing I'm worried about is his (lack of) pace as it was a huge part of his game, realistically he simply can hardly have such a horrible patch again and hopefully the same goes for Chelsea. Zolayes already mentioned the critical factor of confidence which can make a huge difference on its own and we shouldn't forget that this summer he had the biggest brake of his career since coming to England. The truth is most Chelsea fans wouldn't make such a big case out of it if Sheva never happened. Biggest flop in history? PPlleeaassee...
  21. Last season showed a lot of things, that certainly wasn't one of them.
