How could Cech have more votes than Mikel? I'm all for loving the big guy but he had barely anything to do in the game.

Manchester United could only improve so much over the pathetic side that they were last year. Barcelona's efficiency is on another level.

Don't need to imply anything. It's common sense that a man with AVB's football knowledge and basic intelligence wouldn't approach a possible game against Barcelona in exactly the kind of way that they want. Our quick passing can be sloppy enough as it is, with Barcelona's pressure we'd get murdered just like any team that tries to play football at Camp Nou.

I thought you've been here long enough to realise the repeating the same point over and over and over and over and over again doesn't work on us. Providing better arguments and explaining your view is usually the shorter and more efficient way.

Gave the topic a more serious read and I'll stick by my original post. The bare truth is that I have not felt safe with him at RB in any game since his return from injury and that is way too many games for me to still have doubts about what I think of his ability. Frankly I don't think he has what it takes to defend at this level anymore. Then again this may be because I can't forget the way Giggs made him looks like a school-boy.

Not at all. You don't know what it's like trying to keep being excited about your 50m signing by watching some random goals for Spain and Atletico. The only thing that I kept from his Liverpool days is stats, and I hate stats.

Too much is being made of him not starting against Swansea, he is a 33 year old man who had to play 120 minutes just a few days before the game, I'm sure even he knew he should have not started. If anything being subbed at OT after 45 minutes was infinitely more revealing about his place in the team rather than some random start about him not missing a PL game since 2003.

It was between the obvious Ramires and Mikel for me, which is interesting considering they're supposed to be our 2 most "negative" players. Finally opted for Ramires due scoring twice and having the correct timing to be in those threatening positions. Meireles had also a very good game and Anelka's performance should help his case about retaining his starting spot.

Not much to add to whats already been said after watching the game expect pointing out the beautiful technique in the shot that Anelka managed to pull when surrounded by 4 players and praising our midfielders for their workload which contributed to being in firm control of the game despite playing with 10 men.

Same thing for Meireles. They announced his transfer request an hour before the window closed to show that they had no option. If anyone thought the cheesy little song their share with Celtic meant something before the Torres saga, seeing them burn the kits with the emblem of their own club while the player was still theirs must have convinced any doubters. You'll never walk alone until get ambitious. Despicable club. And while I'm at it, he better start scoring loads of goals because I wasn't able to watch a proper compilation of his goals until Feroze made one. Something felt wrong about being supposed to enjoy watching Liverpool goals.

Sucking the life out of the other team and killing games in the first 20 minutes. For all their quality a neutral can't enjoy a Barcelona game as there's only one team on the field. Great, historic games need two.

Could have done better with this one but his defense is the one to blame.

I kinda liked the ability to edit whenever I wanted but I'm used to what TX suggested so it'll do. Anything but this or having to become a legend to get back one of the basic options.
