Injury Latest - Terry, Sturridge & Romeu out injured.

Always thought, and still think that Benayoun plays as an attacking midfielder, often occupying the space just behind the striker. What am talking about is a player like Ashley Young on the right side of the pitch. -

I think Zirkov was great the whole season when caled upon, especially in the Aston villa and bolton games. One thing for sure, Chelsea has many options on the left side (from defence all the way to attack). Its just a shame the same cant be said concerning the Right side. we lacking a right footed winger. imo -

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has moved to quash rumours linking England left-back Ashley Cole with a move to Real Madrid. With former Blues boss Jose Mourinho now in charge at the Bernabeu, it was believed Cole could be set to move away from England and ex-wife Cheryl. Chelsea were believed to have slapped a £30million price tag on the 29-year-old, who signed a four-year contract with the Stamford Bridge club last September. Speculation grew when Cole did not play in the Chelsea's 1-0 friendly win over Crystal Palace, with England Under-21 man Ryan Bertrand playing at left-back. Speaking at a press conference after the game, Ancelotti said: "I don't need to speak with him and he doesn't need to speak with me. "He's a player with Chelsea and just had a fantastic season with us. 100% [he will be a Chelsea player next season]." source = GOAL

... now they are signing Remy. a possible Torres replacement? only time will tell.
-
oh yes, loving it..
-
you might have watched a different match mate. I wont even call that a handball. he was trying to be the second goalkeeper. Its a shame what he did. its also a shame the Ghanians missed the penalty. personally, I prefer signing Aguero, then Lukaku, Maybe Torres. if none of them is signed, then we can think of Suarez. just my opinion anyway

Carlo Ancelotti is keen to bring Inter Milan bad boy Mario Balotelli to Chelsea, suggesting the temperamental striker would flourish in the Premier League. The 19-year-old is reportedly heading out of the San Siro door with his agent Mino Raiola confirming that Manchester United and Manchester City are keen on his signature. Chelsea boss Ancelotti reckons the youngster would excel at Old Trafford, but added that he would like to have a go at curbing his famously hot temper. Asked by Sky Sport24 if he would like to coach Balotelli, he responded: "Yes." "They [united] are a team with great tradition, which helps that type of player. Here, the environment is different and I think a player with his character could find it better than in Italy. "It's difficult to find a player so young with his quality, and England has a lack of players at that level." The Italian also cooled rumours of a bid for Real Madrid midfielder Kaka, saying: "There is no chance of him coming here because he's a Real Madrid player. "I don't think think Real are willing to put him on the market - they bought him last year and therefore this is fantasy. If Real say, 'We want to sell Kaka', it could be the case that Chelsea are interested." SOURCE = goal.com

Is Anyone Actually Concerned About Man City's Spending?
magic weeds replied to Matterz's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
concerned about citeh? NO but worried about our own signings. when are we going to sign another player than we seriously need? pre-season is always the best time to integrate the squad but cfc is just doing nothing IMO. really concerned -
in as much as he is a good player, lets not spend money on this kind of transfers considering the fact that we can have our own Muller type of player from the club's youngstars. just one year ago, this boy was heardly known. after turning pro, he was given a chance to prove himself and voila.... Chelsea are going crazy for his signature. In Matic, Kakuta, Borini, Bruma, Cork and MM, we have real talent that need exposure and confidence. Hope they will be given a chance to proove themselves. IMO one more signing is enough for us. super signing, maybe Aguero.
-
neither will MOURINHO let us sign the lad.
-
Mikel should start too. hope he will be fine soon
-
well said CJ, Bayern wont let him go for any price. first because he is German and second, he is a rising star. one thing i am not sure is where he actually plays because the boy is in everywhere on the pitch lol.
-
it was on Goal.com that I first read the BENAYOUN rumour and guest what it turned out to be. Just hope that Ash doesnt leave.
-
lol, his name is COENTRAO and plays for Benfica. A descent left back.
-
checking on their website will not help cuz even on chelsea website, there is no mention of any preseason game. just not yet announced but I guess it will be done very soon.
-
Now this one looks like Hull City or something. No to Brown. I'd rather the PES kits above.
-
I had never taken a closer look at Gourcouff's game, but after watching him yesterday with the French team, I must admit, this guy is class. Would not mind him joining us. He's some kind of younger version of Lamps or Deco. His shot is phenomenal too.
-
no luck for him
-
you probably mean Gourcuff. He can be a good addition to our squad, though I'd rather go gor Pjanic. The only thing is that Pjanic is 20 and am not so sure how he can cope up with the EPL. but thats just me
-
Yea, Ballack should NOT leave. he is a real professional who gets the job done. plus his esperience, I think he will be more useful in teaching the young lads. DECO, BELLETI, HILARIO out
