  1. Defending was awful at times, but hell.....A win is a win and if Sunderland keep playing like that they wont drop too many more points at home. Hazard was bloody awesome, Torres was bloody awful... I love the guy but he just isn't cutting the mustard. Right, bring on Stoke for a clean sweep and 3 more points. If we do win we will have earned 12 points from 4 tough games...........Here's hoping :blue scalf:
  2. Yes true, but I'm just a bit of a Torres lover after his Barca goal Ba has yet to really impress me to that extent
  3. A very important match in my opinion. Poyet will get Sunderland up and running. I just hope its not against us. These are the matches we need to win and I think we will... 0-2 to the Blues. Lets put a nice little run together before we have to play the Arse! PS..Why start Ba in front of Torres??????? He played well against Southampton and will get the goals his displays deserve. Playing well for the team I think.
  4. Delighted to see Cahill score as he has been getting some bad press lately. Also think that we really need to sort ourselves out before the game starts, not at half time. We were awesome in the second half, but for long periods of the first half we were poor. Huge difference in displays of first and second half. Mata was super, Torres may not have scored but his hassling and chasing was great to watch, and he showed power attacking the Southampton defence. Ramires was a little motor in the midfield and deserved his MoM award. Defence as a unit was solid and class going forward. Hazard is still not the finished article (in my humble opinion) he drifted in and out of this match. And nice to see Demba score. :blue scalf: But now, the ten million dollar question????????????? Which Chelsea will we see against Sunderland? The one that thinks it has the right to win, or the one that has the will to win. Roll on Wednesday.
  5. Points taken and well made, though I was not in Benitez's fanclub I still would like to see Luiz given a midfield start. If he does get his place back in the centre of defence I just feel he will really have to raise his game and his level of concentration to stay in the team. We all know he has it in him, but we need to see it.....and soon
  6. Glad you liked it Sheva !!!! Which part???????????
  7. Can you give me a couple of examples SeB? I know that Luiz is a far more gifted and intelligent footballer than Cahill, but that counts for diddly squat when you keep making schoolboy errors. I cant fault Cahill in his last few matches and he sticks to his position. Luiz, on the other hand is a fantastic talent, but would be a much better Defensive midfielder than an out an out defender. At least as a DM if he goes walkabout he would have defenders in position (like Cahill ) behind him. Dont get me wrong, I really love Luiz but he just needs to tighten up his game, then he would be unreplaceable.
  8. Last night against Basel, we were rubbish and got exactly what we deserved....nothing. But we cannot blame Mourinho for that. The team he put out SHOULD have won that match easily. But Basel rose their game against us and the team (that's our guys on the pitch!!) failed to produce what they are capable of. They were sloppy in their passing, sloppy in their closing down and seemingly disinterested in creating any shots on target. The boss cannot be held responsible for poor player performance, and I am fully sure he has already told them that. Wait and see the changes he makes for Southampton. I am sure there will be a shake up :blue scalf:
  9. Oh com'n guys !!!!!!!!!! We are F#@king Chelsea, and we are a wounded animal right now after Basel and West Brom at home, so we have something to prove. They are Southampton, riding the crest of a wave right now, but punching way above their weight (in my humble opinion). If we are to win anything this season these are the games we MUST win, and I have full faith that we WILL win. And you all need to have faith in our team and manager too. Every season one team barges its way into the top 4 or 5 for the first half of the season, then fades away to mid table mediocrity. This season its the Saints. We will show them who's the best and continue the chase for the Premiership. Lets have a bit more faith in our team (no matter how tough that seems at times)
  10. A tough day at the office for us. We played poorly but hell we're through, so lets move on. No great harm done. Now lets concentrate on improving and beating Southampton, then all this will be forgotten :blue scalf:
  11. Have to say the Basel are playing very well and have closed us down once we pass half way. Although we have played poorly we are still at 0-0. So after a rocket up the ass from Jose and some tactical tweaks I feel confident we will win this one. 0-2. Hope we are not slipping back to our old "November" ways
  12. Hope that Nando gets a game tomorrow night. Just when he starts to show form he gets injured. Give the guy a chance and I really think that under Mourinho he will score for us. He has been unlucky with injuries and a dodgy red card. I agree with what has been said here, that he was rubbish against Newcastle. But come on guys, he wasn't alone there now was he? 10 others were rubbish too so give the guy a break. I really like the guy.
  13. Following on from our sweet victory over the Hammers, I think that we still need to build team confidence and we need to put together a sequence of wins.We are kinda stuttering along, but another win against Basel might just galvanize us and give us a little more faith in our away form. I wouldn't tinker too much with the team that played West Ham. Maybe bring in Mata for Oscar...purely to give Oscar a rest and to give Mata a meaningful game, also rest John Terry and bring in Luiz. We will need to be at full strength against the Saints next Sunday.
  14. WHU are not in the "relegation zone" and what do you want from Chelsea? My point was that this was a vastly improved performance from our others of late. . This was a very professional performance, away from home to a team who class this match as their cup final. We won, and we won well.........Class result in my opinion, no matter where they stand in the table
  15. Bloody hell guys/gals?????? "good to win but that's the side with no striker"..........."West Ham played shit"...................."Everton and City destroyed them as well".......... FFS........Can you not see a vastly improved Chelsea performance.......A team willing to hassle the opposition in their own half.....................A team that MADE West Ham look average. Pre-match threads were worried about going to the Hammers, but we wiped the floor with them. Give credit where it's due.......Chelsea were outstanding tonight....Accept it...And if we can keep playing with that level of commitment we will win the Premiership :blue scalf:
  16. Normal service has been resumed Absolutely delighted with that performance. Oscar was superb, but each and every player has played his part tonight. We closed them down at every opportunity, and the passion, hunger and commitment shown here really bodes well for the future. Best game I've seen them play in the League this season. And West Ham?.......................MIND THE GAP
  17. No worries.....I didn't take it personally at all.........Remember, it's just a game, not a science
  18. Two things.................... Cahill may not be the most gifted defender in the world but he has shown more commitment to our cause than Luiz this season. Cahill dont go "walkabout" Luiz has been found wandering about this season. When he becomes more disciplined he will regain his place, otherwise it's Cahills spot to lose. Secondly...............Yes the Irish do give 110%..BUT WE DONT LOSE EVERY TIME MATE !!!!!!
  19. I agree, but we have built our midfield around Ramires (in my opinion)...........My worry is Barca may offer to do the same for him
  20. Sorry mate, I'm only responding to the rumour!!!!!!!!!!! But now you ask the question. They might want him exactly because of the way he plays. He would bring something new to them, and with Guardiola gone they may feel they need new options. But I do see what you are saying and tend to agree with you. But how many players have been swayed, and left clubs where they played regularly to sign for big money and so called bigger clubs. ie;- Maschareno
  21. I think the lure of Barca may be too great for him. But if the Barca magic starts to fail now that Guardiola has left, well then there's nowhere else to be except Chelsea. Anyway, we wont sell him............why should we? he's irreplacable at present
  22. Where would we be without the odd wild outrageous rumour The world would be a very dull place... Frankly I really believe that we will get Lahm.................Along with Messi, Ronaldo and of course I will also be signed as the main striker on £250k per week
  23. My knees are still recovering from the severe carpet burns I received when Droga slotted home that final penalty :blue scalf:
  24. The logic is that "We are Chelsea", and the powers that be just love to tantalize Chelsea and Mourinho for past indescretions. And as for the two Manchester teams playing on Sunday ??? Well they're just wankers who pander to the powers
