I never thought I'd say this but it does seem to me that Mata is surplus to requirements at Chelsea. Last week we bought Matic, this now means that we have Oscar, Hazard, Willian, Schurrle and Ramires who can play in the attacking midfield role, and Mourinho has chosen all these players ahead of Mata this season. That's why I think we should cash in on him.The player is obviously unhappy and the manager is indifferent to him at present. But if he were to go to United it should be an exchange for Rooney and not just a straight cash transfer. If Chelsea want to sell him for cash, then sell him to a European club instead. Personally, I think Oscar has lost some of his early season form and Mata should be given a run in the side. But, that's why I'm not the manager

Loved all the shots of Moyes on the tv. He looked way out of his league today and absolutely devoid of ideas. But you have to admire him, he has turned the Premier champions into a mid table side in 6 months and kept his job..........Outstanding

I've just had a peek at the Man U forum "redcafe". If you turn up your speakers you can actually hear them bawling

What d'ya mean Moyes out????? Did you not hear the crowd????????? "David Moyes, we want you to stay" :eyebrows:

Special Juan, on 18 Jan 2014 - 8:19 PM, said: Totally agree with the first part........but I wouldn't call them "shit". They know that if they lose tomorrow their only chance of Europe is the Capital Cup, Therefore I would call them "dangerous" rather than shit. They have to put in a match winning performance as a draw is useless to them (and us for that matter). Both teams need three points and nothing less will do. But after tomorrow, when we beat them, then you can call them shit !!! (This is copied from "pre-match forum) Now you can call them "shit" :blue scalf: 3-0 get fucking in........Oh and Raphael, here's a little bit of advice...........Fuck off you dirty little inbred

If you speak half as good on the radio as you do on here Barbara you will do Chelsea proud.......KTBFFH :blue scalf:

Oh please bring back our FA Cup final winning jersey..........................From 1970 !!!!!!!!!!!!! as worn by Osgood, Harris, Webb, Houseman,Hudson etc.. :blue scalf: I had one years ago. Really heavy material, but it was pure class, and the shorts with the white stripe....ahhhh the memories........A really class kit that (to me) has never been bettered. Bloody Hell......I'll have to stop this reminiscing, I get all soppy

How could you forget the "unforgettable" Winston Bogarde Are we still paying him I wonder ??????????

This game, in my opinion, is THE pivotal match in both Chelsea & United's season. A draw is absolutely no use to either side. A draw for us could see Citeh power away from us, and a draw for United could scupper their chance for any European place via their league finishing spot. Therefore, I see both sides going for the three points. Should be a home win, though I am a bit concerned that even if RVP or Rooney dont play they still have Hernandez who seems to score against us for fun. Lets just hope we score more. :blue scalf:

Do you not think that we have progressed from the Newcastle and Stoke away performances ? I think we have tightened it up at the back and seem to have gained a little more purpose and while I fully agree that we are not the "finished article" I think we are on the right road to get there. So today for me was a great result and a good performance. Rome wasn't built in a day

I'm amazed to read some negative comments on here after our superb win over Hull today. Okay, our first half performance was lukewarm, but we were like the bullfighter, just probing for their weakness and I was 100% sure we would score in the second half. Remember Hull are not the pushover they used to be some seasons ago and what we did to them today was a very efficient, professional and workmanlike performance and I for one was very happy with the 0-2 scoreline. We are starting to slip into gear now and if we maintain the level of performance we have provided in our last couple of games I'd say the future looks bright.very bright. I think we can beat anyone at the moment........Well done Jose They are starting to put in the type of performance you demand

After Weighing up all the pro's and Cons of signing Rooney, I think he would be a good purchase. Although he is getting on, he is still a proven goalscorer and is a real worker for his team and another important factor is ...he's English, born, bred and trained
-
Saw De Bruyne play against us some years ago. he had a great game and he looked a really good prospect. But since we bought him he has not kicked on and really shown that potential, and I don't think he is good enough to nail down a spot in our starting eleven. He is nowhere as good as Oscar, Hazard, Willian, Mata or Schurrle so let him go and take the best offer we receive. Otherwise he will start to lose value rotting in the reserves. Remember we are Chelsea, and not all the good players we buy can get into our team...............only the GREAT ones get into it. And I,m afraid Kevin De Bruyne is not in that category.

Hull are playing some decent football at home and are hard to beat (Just ask Liverpool !!) But We seem to have found another gear over the Xmas games and I think we will win. As for the starting line-up, I would like to see Gary Cahill starting in defence and Dont be surprised if Mourinho starts him. Anyway I think he is playing well enough to hold onto his spot. (I'll probably get hammered for saying that !!!!!!!!! ) Dont care as long as we win. Com'n you Blues

Derby are a handy enough side and we will not want to take them too lightly as we need to win this one .I wouldn't tweak our team too much as too many changes don't benefit the team in my opinion. Plus we will have had a full weeks rest which should be enough for any professional player. My Team The Aussie Aspi Cahill Luiz Cole Ramires Mikel Schurrle Mata Willian Eto'o JT could do with a break so trying this partnership could be a possibility. Dont think he'll play Essien or De Bruyne as rumours are they are on the way out. But hey! What the f@ck do I know

Oscars dive ???? i'd only give it a 6.8. Nothing spectacular and not as bad as it was made out to be. The annoying thing is that if he had stayed on his feet he had a tap in.
-
Well I am a happy camper 10 points out of a possible 12 over the xmas games. If I was offered that before the Arsenal fixture I would have been very pleased.to take it. But the most pleasing thing is the past performances. We've upped our game and seemed to have found that extra gear we needed to find. I think the end of January sees us play City... Could be a defining game in our season, but for now I'm happy.........Well done Lads :blue scalf:

Happy New Year to all you guys (and Gals )

Bloody fantastic win, bloody fantastic display. Thought Cahill was great in defence and Luiz was superb in midfield. And Hazard ?? What a performance. His goal was a joy to behold. This is how I want to see Chelsea play in the future. We actually looked menacing today and no team could have stayed with us. When we play at that pace we are unbeatable. 7 points from 9 over Xmas, not a bad return. Maybe now we will have the belief to on and really show how we CAN play...You know it's really gives me a warm feeling to beat them scouse fu@kers :blue scalf:

I like that side. If we cant win convincingly with that side we should hang our heads. 3-1 to the Blues
-
We shouldn't rest any players for this match. We need the win. Mourinho can rest players when we are 3-0 up. I doubt if Liverpool will be resting any players for their game just because the Chels are up next. Lets win this game first before we worry about Liverpool
-
Com'n you Blues. If ever we needed a win over the Arse its tonight. Pressure game for us and we really need a convincing victory
-
Tough game to call this one and I'm not even going to try and predict what side the boss will field. I just hope he doesn't go defensive against them as we need the win. If thing go tits up over the Christmas period against Arsenal, Swansea and Liverpool we could be well out of the race this season,. So in Mourinho I trust to pick the right team to win these three.
-
We need to move him on I'm afraid. He's way behind Oscar, Hazard, Mata & even Schurrle. His confidence is suffering with the bit part he is playing at the moment. Last match he was really trying too hard, and when he lost the ball he usually ended up fouling his opponent in pure frustration. I think we should cut our losses on this one
