£500,000 per week You could run a small country on money like that. Seriously, this is just plain crazy, and a really unbelievable piece of journalism. And even if it were true, I would avoid him like the plague. What we (at Chelsea) have at present is a "team" playing for each other, and each player is an important cog in the team. You bring this showboater in and you completely change the whole dynamics of the team, as the focus would have to be on him, because he would demand that he has to be central to every play made We dont need him or in my opinion, want him, as he would ruin not just the team, but the club as a whole . Anyway, we have moved on from taking Man U's cast off's

Costa.............What a player ????? has already scored more goals this season than Torres did for the whole of last season. Fabregas.........We need to change his name to Fabreclass Hazard.............Is just that. A hazard to every defence in the country My only concern is our defence.........WTF???? 5 goals conceded in two games!!!! Not the Mourinho way. Are we just hoping to outscore every team we play ?
-
This will be a good test for us ahead of a couple of very important weeks. Swansea have provided tough opposition for us in the past so we will need to be on top of our game to get the result we need. If there is even a slight worry over Costa I would not play him. Give Remy the start and let him show us what he's got. (which is hopefully a hat-trick on his debut!!) Our squad should have enough depth to beat what will be a very resilient Swansea side. Com'n you Blues and make it 12 from 4 :blue scalf: PS.. F@cking hate these international breaks
-
Hopefully he'll be fine......... Rest him against Swansea as a precaution and with a little luck he can be ready to face Shalke and City. Remy, Drogba or Shurrle can do the business for us against Swansea. But an injury to Costa at this early stage of the season, no matter how trivial or bad, is worrying for the long term

lets set a marker for the rest of the season and put these Burnley boys in their place. We slipped up way too many times last season against co called relegation fodder, so 0-3 and i'll be happy. There are a lot of teams who have improved their squads to try to get into and stay in the top four, so lets start off by making sure the top spot belongs to us from the start. Best of luck Chelsea, I hope its a season to remember :blue scalf: On the down side........I'm off on holidays and wont get to see the f@cking game

Yes, I am interested in what you said and to a certain extent I will agree with you. But I dont rate Frank anymore as a player who could damage our title hopes. And I think that had he signed for QPR he would have helped them immensely, but that at City he is only there to make up the home grown numbers. And I also know he wasn't short of other offers, but New York is owned by Man City therefore I think he may not have had too much of a choice. But, look, I do understand your very valid points, I just think that Frank is finished at the top level of football and will not cause us any harm, and hopefully at the end of the season we will be holding the Premiership title, no matter who Citeh sign. I will be very surprised if we don't win the title, and that the form and performances of Frank Lampard are the reason why!!!!
-
Have read some of the comments on here and I dont really see what all the fuss is about, and here's my reasons why 1. We didn't offer Frank a new contract......Why?...........because he had nothing more to offer us as a player. 2, City are champions with a pick of younger world class midfielders.....So can you see Frank holding down a regular first team spot for five months? 3. City are short of home grown players (as stated by many on here)...so he makes up the numbers 4. And his New York club is owned by City. Frank sadly, had nothing more to offer us at Chelsea. He was a fine player, but times change and he still wants to play at a high level. I dont blame him for taking up the offer from Citeh. I doubt if he will play against us and I feel he is just there for his fitness and to increase Citeh's home grown contingent. Let him go with our gratitude for what he has done for us in the past, because you can be sure he will never be able to recreate his best form ever again in the future, with Citeh or anyone else. Chelsea have had Franks best years, and if he had anything left to give he would most definitely have been kept by Jose. So good luck Frank and thanks for the memories

At the start of last season I got hit on here for calling him the poor man's Drogba. I am sorry that I put him in the same comparison as the "Great One". Drogba could teach him something about ambition, and how you must earn the respect and adoration of the fans. It just seems that the guy didn't fancy fighting for his place in the team. He has just shown a complete lack of ambition. Even Drogba, at his age came back because he relished the chance to try to regain his place in the team against Costa, and Torres. If Lukaku is happy to play for Everton, then thats fine... But you will never play Champions League mate. If he is as good a footballer as he makes out to be he would have stayed and won a place in the side. But I think he knows that Everton will be the pinnacle of his career. You may have scored plenty for them last season, but the sign of a true striker is to follow that up with the same the next season, so, no pressure Romelu. Prove me wrong.
-
How the f#@k do we look like shit in the eyes of other clubs?? He will play in matches in the League cup with a lot of the youngsters, to show them how it's done. The guy is a shrewd signing and his experience is worth a yaerd of pace. You should hold your scathing words on a true legend until the end of the season and his contract..............And I really hope you have to eat them
-
He can learn how to be a Champions League winner, and how to scare the shit out of opposition defences. If he is worth a starting place he will start... and if not, then he wont..........but he will still always be a Chelsea legend. I'm delighted to see him back, even if its only to add extra incentive to our other strikers to keep him out of the side
-
Who is the next preferred CM signing?
Starman60 replied to Sidzeret's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I would like to see Van Ginkel get a run in the side before we splash more cash. but if we really had to buy another Cm it would have to be Pogba for me.But first lets offload Mikel, Ramires, McEachran, Marin and Moses and recoup some cash for a change. PS. Cant remember looking forward to a new season as much as I am looking forward to this one with our new look attack and midfield. Hope it's worth the wait -
BARBARA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M TOTALLY SHOCKED BY YOUR LANGUAGE...................AND I THOUGHT YOU WERE A LADY But I agree with what you are saying.
-
Cant see how you make that out. What I am saying is Didi is a very hard act to follow and he will always be a hero to me and all Chelsea fans. The man won us the European Cup FFS Where do you see that I am hailing that he left???
-
An open letter to Diego Costa. Dear Mr Costa, Welcome to Chelsea...........Now go and score a shed-load of goals for us, because we have been starved of a class striker since Didier left. We have the players to supply the passes for you so all you have to do is stick it in the bloody net. 20 goals in the league will endear you to all Chelsea fans and if you can knock in a few in the cup competitions you could become a God!!! (After Didi of course). So no pressure!! And finally, try and make friends with John Terry, he really is a nice guy (really). Enjoy your time at Chelsea, hopefully it will be very long and very productive. Yours in anticipation, Starman60
-
Awwww come on guys............ You cant fault his APPETITE for the game. The HUNGER he shows while playing has to be admired and he really is a class act in an otherwise TOOTHLESS Uruguayan forward line!! And please, dont forget his awesome DRIBBLING skills, I hope they never DESSERT him. Honestly though, this animal really suits Liverpool....... They rummage around in dustbins for something to eat. This guy is just too lazy to search bins so he like to get his food on the move. If Chellini is smart, he will have gotten a tetanus/hepatitus jab straight away. Fuck knows what diseases that bastard is carrying. FIFA should bring criminal proceedings against him for GBH. It's jail he should get, not a ban. Fucking phsyco. Perhaps clubs could ban him from their stadiums on "safety grounds"
-
Totally disagree with banning him..............................................Just pull all the fuckers teeth out instead
-
Ok, I've looked at our fixture list and we have two tough periods during the season, with the last 6 games being especially challenging. But then, having said that, we have to play each team twice, so what does it matter when we play them. To win the league we have to beat them all, and to me, whether we beat them on the first day of the season or the last day is inconsequential. Lets take each game as it comes, win them then move on to the next game.......Simples And if we win them all we win the league !!! There now, that was easy wasn't it ??????????
-
"Hello? is that Cesc? Would you like to win some major silverware and earn £150,000 a week while doing so"?
-
Christ people!!!!!!!!! Too much being made of his "history with Lampard and Mourinho". This guy is a professional footballer and Mourinho wanted him, therefore that alleged spat has been put to bed. Fabregas did not have a gun put to his head to sign for us. He signed of his own free will, realizing that he can relaunch his career and that he can become the mainstay of a team that can, and will go on to win major honours. This guy is no mug, and either is Mourinho. These guys will only laugh at all this crap about previous spats And as for his spat with Lampard?? well Frank has left and I'll bet that there's not too many in the current Chelsea side that will even remember it. And if we were to not sign players who we didn't like because they pissed off our players or fans because they played for rivals then we would never have signed the likes of Ashley Cole Arsenal Mark Hughes Man Utd Mickey Thomas Man Utd JoeyJones Liverpool Manny Petit Arsenal Mickey Hazard Spurs Clive Allen Spurs These guys played for our sworn enemies and then came to us, and became loved by us. So lets forget all this "newspaper hype" about the alleged bad blood between Fabregas and Chelsea. If he was at all unsure about what he could achieve at Chelsea, then he would not have signed. A player like him would not have had to wait too long for another club to snap him up.
-
Get over yourself mate !!!!!!! All "proper" Chelsea fans will be delighted with this signing. He will prove himself on the pitch even if it is only to get back at Wenger for not resigning him and Barca for letting him go. But mostly he will prove himself because he will be playing in a top class side. Frank has left and the very best of luck to him. Fabregas is in so learn to live with it.
-
I think he will be a good signing, and I am happy to see him sign for us..With both Barca and Arsenal rejecting him I hope that he feels that he has something to prove. This is his last big chance to win some silverware and I think he will come out fighting and prove those two were wrong to reject him. Plus, he will have to win over a lot of Chelsea fans, and he will only manage that will consistently good performances
-
Arsenal are not exercising their clause to resign Fabregas so I think he will sign for us as he wants to come to London. And there's no way he'd sign for the Spuds. If he moved to Citeh he would only be a bit-part player. United and Liverpool are in transition and I dont think he would sign for a team in that position. Chelsea would be ideal for him and I think he would fit in superbly beside Matic in the midfield. And tonight I see that Sky Sports have stated that Jose Mourinho is "monitoring the situation". I personally think he would be a great aquisition............................But then, I thought the same about Torres !!!!!!!!
-
No way is Shaw worth £30 million. We would be crazy to fork out that amount on an 18 year old. I dont care how good he is, the fee is seriously inflated.United are afraid they will miss the boat again if they dont buy big, so they will fork out monopoly money to try and secure signings. And Shaws wages will be £100,000 !!! He's a bloody left back, not a box to box utility player, or someone who can slot into the right back or centre back spot if needed. We have Aspi and Ivanovich who have both played more than one position this season and excelled in both. Plus, Evra has decided to stay for another season and he'll have a say in who plays left back. If United do sign him it's a lot of money to pay for a player who may not even make their bench. The reason I say that is I would much rather have a central defender on my bench than a LB who would not be able to turn a game around if we were losing. I would love to see him at Chelsea, but £20 million tops for him, With our superb scouting network I'm sure we can find another gem or two in the mould of Aspi for a fraction of the cost
-
The banner on this page says "In the region of £50 million. But hey, like you say whichever it is it's good money and if its £50 million we really are quids in !!
-
£50 million for Luiz!!!!!!!!!!!!! PSG remind me of Chelsea when Abramovich first arrived and spent silly bucks on some big names. Much and all as I liked Luiz I felt he has had a very dissapointing season. I expected him really kick on from the previous year but I'm afraid I feel he didn't step up to the mark. And he was always prone to make a blunder. I never felt he was Mourinho's type of player either. He was too much of a loose cannon. We still have Matic and Ramires and hopefully Van Ginkle will be fit and fulfill his potential. I will miss him, but £50 million is a super piece of business.Take the money and run I say.
