  1. That is what I am hoping that keeps him on the job. Some clause that if he doesn't meet certain objectives by the end of the season , it will be easier and cheaper to terminate his contract. I mentioned relegation battle in December. He looked to me so clueless and uninspiring back then, and still does. What the hell they saw in him? I was afraid after I saw that Brighton fans wanted him fired after long winless streaks . Firing Tuchel for this wannabe top coach is the major fuck up by Boehly. Not having proper replacement is such a karma. Hope he will do it before it's too late, clause or no clause. We are left to cheer for every point. Every point is win.
  2. You still think so? Have you been aware of Potter's winless streaks during his career? His teams scoring records? I have. And that's why I said what I said. Other managers have trophies and good football backing them, Potter had winless streaks, low win ratio, no trophies and low scoring teams backing him. And yet 80+ millions were spent to hire him and his staff. We sacked Tuchel and hired chinese version of him for fortune. He is the manager at the top club completely out of his depth. He is walking mistake. Players don't trust in him, fans don't trust in him. Only stubborn owner, obsessed with proving entire world he is not fool stands behind him. There were other managers out of their depth. But had something more than Potter. Ole was club legend and was respected. Lampard was club legend and was respected. Arteta in his worst days had respect. Potter has nothing. Come March, we will still be asking ourselves where the next point will come from. And that is truly pathetic. Spending fortune on unproven manager and being stuck with him.
  3. And Brighton chief laughed and thought "Only fools and horses". And soon entire Premier League followed.
  4. Potter lacks personality. Lacks charm. He is not somebody players will fight for. Like they do for Pep, Klopp, Ten Hag. Lacks charisma if you will to be top coach. IF you are able to look coach interview for fifteen minutes and not get bored he has x factor, Potter doesn't and that is why he will never be top coach at the top club. Tuchel had it but wasn't meant to be. And have we finally decided if he was: a) uninterested in transfers , management , only wanted to coach and therefore got fired b) responsible for every awful transfer we made under him. Can't be both. I still can't comprehend why would somebody with so demanding style of play that requires so much running and tracking back sign so many thirty years olds. From Haland, Tchouameni, Hakimi, De light to Lukaku, KK, Sterling , Auba and of course, Fofana (injury prone like we didn't have enough with Reece and Chilwell). And he was happy chap. Nevermind. What Tuchel did, he made the best from our unbalanced team. But team was unbalanced , and better ones afterwards left or paid the ultimate price with injuries. Rudiger, Andreas, Kante, Reece, Chilwell . We lost our best performers and downfall trajectory started and lasts till now. 600 mill spent means little if you wasted 300 mill year before. And mean even less if you have wrong man at the helm.
  5. So it seems the days of City dominance are coming to an end. I don't even believe they will win this title. My favorite is United, as they were at the start of this season and the season before. They are coming back sadly. Like in Fergie days. Qatari are getting United, PL will push for that move to secure PL being more than one horse race. It will be United vs City till eternity, I mean till Newcastle intervene. And we, well, in my humble opinion we made too many mistakes regarding overpaying wrong players last summer, and summer before, and even this January to have a chance of proper rebuilding. We urgently need capable coach and sale of the our biggest flops and spenders to prosper. Tasks that look almost impossible, but will determine our race for fourth place next season.
  6. I have no words for what's going on with transfers. If I could use one expression to describe it "Only fools and horses" comes to mind. Extremely suspicious actions.
  7. I don't get the way this club is run. Are they aware of the risk? So many signings without offloading anyone. I read somewhere we can sign just one player without selling. We need to offload players but who? When? We will soon be in the position when everyone know we need to sell as if we were able to offload players without this burden before. Furthermore, what's up with this loooong contracts for unproven players? It helps with FFP but what if it doesn't work with certain player? Costs of running this club are sky high and we will need to offload players at any cost. We will find ourselves having to sell players who improved and warrant big transfer fee, like Colwill perhaps. We will have to play in CL to make ends meet, and there will be both Manchester clubs with their new ownership with Newcastle. One place for either of Us, LFC, Arsenal. I think they are taking risk because they are spending Roman's money but will their risk be Chelsea's gain? I'm not so sure. We will need extreme success with our signings that is, we will need miracles.
  8. So this "building house from the roof "" approach from the previous regime I hated, is part of the new regime DNA I see. I am deeply disappointed and shocked and sad with this signing. Just like I said for Felix the other day, it wont make us climb up on the table without functional central midfield. We are stockpiling attackers we are not able to sell, and getting only has beens and injury prones in that midfield. It's sad really. At least I hope when he comes to Stamford Bridge tomorrow, he will be hearing " We will stay up" instead "We are going down" chants despite this absurd transfer policy that is bringing us further down with each passing window/ day.
  9. From 10th to 16th if we are lucky. Losing against Fulham will send us to relegation battle, but nothing better can't be expected from this clowns. Enzo would have been revelation, just like Tchouameni back then, but we like our useless signings instead. Pretty face and that's about it with Felix. Brought for cheering up fans purposes only.
  10. Injuries are misfortune. They are affecting results. But they are just partly misfortune. Most of them we brought on ourselves. They are consequences of this club continuous wrong doing. Over relying on couple of world class players. It started with Hazard. We had him, so we could afford having subpar players around him. It was good with Fabregas and Costa, but after they left, we only had Hazard and Kante who needed to work twice as hard for making average team look semi great. We were continuously getting average players and trailed after Hazard and Kante, who took major burden. After Hazard left, we relied on Kante, and our youngsters, James and Mount to elevate team of average players to look better for some degree. In CL year, we relied too much on Reece, Chilwell and Kante. Now they are injury prone. Surprise. OF course, in that season we hade Rudiger and Andreas in top form but that's not the subject. We are losing our best players due injuries. That is not just because they played every game. It's because when they played, they needed to work twice as hard to cover for their teammates deficiencies. For some times we had average players but successful seasons. It could only last for so long before it backfired. Second reason, we are getting crocked and old players. Broja is example of misfortune, but he wasn't good enough anyway.
  11. It's not that they wont pay as much for one player. I told you they wont when everyone were saying they will. It's that they wasted 300 mil of money intended for development of club and stadium on trash. Literally they wasted 300 millions with wages half of billion on players everyone who watches football knew were past it, not good enough, too risk players. Anyone who saw KK in CL new he would get caught in PL. Fofana was damage goods after his injury. Auba was too old for PL and Cucurela was considered back up material from City. Sterling was past it and it was evident he wont have it as easy as in Man City. Just look Arsenal. That youngster is more efficient than Jesus. Truth is, if you can't make it as attacker in City, hardly you will anywhere in PL. They literally wasted so much money to set this club back. It will get them lower bottom place on the table for foreseeable future. We are so heading on the Arsenal route. But this cash cow wont be nearly as payable. I am so disappointed with people running this club. Been quite some time. I can't see the light yet. It's heartbreaking, knowing it will take miracle to support the great team again due to money wasted on hideous signings.
  12. You wont see youth much in those games because we are not safe. Maybe after 35. round.
  13. I was so angry when I realized we were replacing Rudiger with him. I called it downgrade of the biggest proportion. Silva signing was , as great for our defense most of the times, really bad for our transfer policy. It really convinced somebody that every player in his thirties can play as good . After Silva we started signing pensioners in every department even considering renewing contracts to our own . What was behind KK, Sterling, Auba signings? Was that for marketing purposes? Our best shot to get star players, even after their prime? Was that Boehly's perception that football club can be run as baseball or basketball club where average age is 35 or something? Was Lukaku marketing signing? When we couldn't land star in his prime, we landed another , past his prime. Fofana had major injury, and even though we had hideous times with our injured wingbacks, we paid premium money for him. Only Cucurella I can stomach, bad scouting. And every one of this duds is on giant contract? No wonder we are singing only youngsters. Those are the only ones we can afford now days. We don't have money for this world cup wonderkid I'm afraid.
  14. Every point is crucial. We are yet to gain enough points to avoid relegation. Every point is precious and counts when you take into consideration probability of going down. If Reece was rushed back too early it is because every point is crucial. That is way we will see our manager happy when we gain a point. Two years after CL triumph and we only managed to weaken that team with every transfer window. Only has beens, pensioners and crocks bar average Cucurela. Even I couldn't foresight fall so dramatic but there were writings on the wall. That is not good at all. I find myself happy with point.
  15. Yes, this forum was great place once. But that has not gone because of negativity, but because of dreadful way this club was managed. People mostly could criticize and write negative things and got tired of doing so. I said prior Lukaku signing we are getting midtable status. We will be top ten club in the rang of West ham, Aston Villa and Everton without relegation battles hopefully. I am not being negative, I am realistic. We may be run as Borussia Dortmund without farmers league. Once we accept that, we will be able to look forward to every game and every point and negativity will hopefully be reduced.
